"I thought the name (title) was important."

One day, during a chat with Lisa, Alice suddenly said something like that.

"In the current environment, first of all, if you don't get your attention with a catchy title (title), you'll be buried right away. Well, I think fundamental structural reforms are part of what we need to do before then, when it comes to too little possibility of later recovery."

"Uh... we're talking about cooking, right?

"Right?

Lisa, suddenly shaken up, is confused, but Alice is only talking about the name of the dish she puts on the menu list of the store.

There are also more and more restaurants in labyrinth cities these days, and every store has devised wording to put on signs and ascents. When competition between peers becomes fierce, that's how they take customers approximately if they don't come up with some ideas. I have no other intention.

"No matter how good the content is, you don't know how good it is until you actually try it."

"Yeah, that's for sure"

Even if there was a store that served some really good food, no one would be able to convey its appeal without rowing to the point where they would eat it first.

If that's what you're talking about, Lisa can tell.

Advertising, advertising, or naming dishes that you might want to try by accident.

If you are involved in the food and beverage industry as a business, you cannot neglect any of them.

'As long as it tastes good, customers gather on its own' is the easiest word to use... well, it's not wacky at all, but you'd better consider it a few exceptions. In reality, there are mountains of stores that can be crushed even if they taste good. I have no other intention.

"First of all, if you don't devise the visible part to attract customers, it won't lead to an overall rating. And if you don't respond in a visible way, you'll gradually lose the motivation of the people inside."

"We're talking about cooking, right?!?"

"Isn't that right?

As Alice says, it's hard to stay motivated no matter how skilled an astute cook you are if the situation where the idle birds are ringing goes on for months and years. Whether it's important to focus on the flavour of food or not, there's no reason why you should just cook when it's a business. You should also think that thinking about various ideas to attract customers is a splendid job. I have no other intention.

... and so far, it's only a prerequisite.

Alice started talking about the name of the dish, which is the real deal.

"There have been quite a few restaurants nearby, but it seems like they often devise names for their dishes."

"What's the idea of a name?

"Right, for example -"

If it's just 'fried chicken', it won't attract much attention even if it's on the menu, but why not add more information there?

For example, like "Sakukukuku Fried Chicken" or "Juicy Fried Chicken".

It could be 'hot' or 'homemade' or something. Compared to just 'fried chicken', don't you feel like trying it somehow?

"Maybe I can tell a little. Oh, wouldn't 'broiled' or 'charcoal-grilled' be nice if that's what you mean?

"Nice. I understand. I understand."

Looks like Lisa's kind of figured out what Alice's trying to say, too.

For example, "Broiled Salmon" is a popular menu commonly found in Japanese spinning sushi restaurants. If this were just 'raw grilled salmon' sushi, would it interest you that much?

If you compare "charcoal-grilled" to not sticking to "hamburger" or "steak" or something balls, do you feel that it somehow looks tastier with it?

More specifically, from the word 'charcoal-grilled', it seems quite “refreshing” there. If you are a citizen of Shizuoka Prefecture, you will surely associate a "hamburger" as big as "Kinkotsu".

Well, even if the price and taste haven't changed to that, just devising a name can greatly increase your appetite for customers. Basics would be a good way to add cooking methods and texture characteristics. No difficulty and considerable repercussions are also expected.

"And then there's" exclusive "or something, right?"

"'Exclusive'... Nice"

As an applied edition, some hands appeal to the product in the form of 'limited number of meals' or 'limited time'. Well, the premise is that the quality is certain.

This is not limited to the food and beverage industry, but the term 'exclusive' has a terrible magic power to strongly appeal to all young and old. Sometimes even things you weren't originally very interested in, but if you were told that was a precious limited edition, you'd look more attractive than you actually are, and your wallet hippo would loosen up.

"But adding words to darkness is also an idea, isn't it? A long time ago, many shops (humans) tried to stand out by giving it a long name (title) anyway, but because of too many of those. Recently, it seems the opposite is the case that simple names tend to increase. Oh, of course we're talking about cooking."

"Yes, yes, talk about cooking, talk about cooking"

Even if you line up the information and give it a long name, it will certainly stand out, but if every store does the same, it will become obsolete the other way around.

A "limited edition 10 meals, special curry" would be nice, but when it comes to "limited edition 10 meals, a special beef curry that my stubborn father's chef carefully simmered onions for three days and three nights using a spice blended with a secret formula that luxuriously takes care of the scarce parts of upscale beef" is obviously overdone. Anyway, I pack too much information, and on the contrary, I have no idea what you're trying to say. I'm completely disoriented.

It would be smart to narrow down to as many as three points to appeal to. I mean, it's forbidden to overdo anything. I have no other intention.

"So, Alice,"

"What is it, Lisa?

"Does that mean you even rewrite the menu?

"Hmm, right...... no, I'm not in the mood today so I'll see you next time"

Though I said again next time...... I guess I wasn't so enthusiastic about this matter from the start, in fact, just waving it as a story of chatter.

All the assumptions so far are going to pull back, but this isn't the kind of place where life is at stake because it's like doing it on the road in the first place.

If you're too hippo, you're in trouble, but thankfully, even as things stand, regular and seemingly customers are in there.

Even with such a big mess of management, it has some visibility that means it's the best established in a labyrinth city, and sometimes I like to come and see the Demon King at the center of my interest because I'm not hiding who I am.

Alice also just happened to notice the ingenuity of the other stores, and she doesn't need to jump and thrive.

In the end, there was no change in the contents of the menu table, whether it was the next day or the following week, and eventually by the time the season swept around and rewrote the menu, I had completely forgotten about the chatter of the day and so on, and the very normal culinary names, the same as before, would be lined up.
