Chapter 521 - 357: Witchcraft (2)
With that, he turned and walked toward the movie screening area, leaving Frank standing there to continue experiencing the magical power within his body.
To prevent sound from interfering and to ensure a good viewing experience, the screening area had been deliberately set up several hundred meters away.
Yves and the veterans had already set up the projection screen and were now calibrating the projector.
In the United States, watching movies is a Christmas tradition. People usually choose festive Christmas films like Life is Beautiful, Love Actually, Home Alone, or The Grinch.
Feng Mountain had gone to great lengths to give everyone an unforgettable viewing experience.
He had specially ordered a high-performance projector from Fairbanks. The screen alone was 150 inches, and its large size would allow every viewer to clearly see every detail of the film.
David took out his laptop, expertly connecting it to the projector and speakers to begin the final calibrations before playback.
Once everything was ready, the movie started. The classic MGM lion's roar appeared on the screen, the familiar logo feeling like a key unlocking a good time.
As clear audio filled the air from the speakers, the entire area was instantly enveloped in a cinematic atmosphere.
The children were the most easily captivated. They were immediately drawn in by the exciting opening, and they all carried their plates over to sit gleefully on the grass.
They ate their food with their eyes glued to the movie, their faces beaming with innocent smiles, completely lost in the world on the screen.
However, Fiona seemed less than interested in Home Alone, which was currently playing.
She put down her plate with a look of disdain and trotted over to Feng Mountain on her short little legs.
She tugged on Feng Mountain's clothes and said in a wheedling tone.
"Uncle, I don't want to watch Home Alone. I want to watch Crushberry Park. I watch it every day at home."
Crushberry Park?
Feng Mountain furrowed his brow slightly. 'I've really never heard of that movie.'
But seeing Fiona's pleading eyes, he couldn't bring himself to refuse. So, he took the little girl to find David.
"Buddy, the kid wants to watch Crushberry Park. Can we do that?"
David froze for a second, his expression instantly becoming complicated.
He glanced from Fiona to Feng Mountain, then sighed helplessly and spread his hands.
"Boss, are you sure you want to play that cartoon?"
Seeing Feng Mountain's blank expression, he continued to explain.
"Crushberry Park is a TV-MA rated show. It's full of explicit content and is prohibited for anyone under seventeen."
"According to the United States Code, if a parent or guardian shows a restricted-rated cartoon to a minor, they could be ordered to perform community service. In serious cases, they could face fines and a prison sentence of at least five years, up to a maximum of twenty."
David paused here, a hint of a smile touching his lips as he added.
"It is a really good show, though."
WHAT!!
Hearing David's explanation, Feng Mountain's mind reeled. He just stood there, completely dumbfounded.
He lowered his head to look at Fiona, who was blinking her big, innocent eyes up at him.
He couldn't help but curse inwardly.
'Unbelievable.'
'I invite you to watch a movie...'
'...and you're trying to send me to prison!'
At that thought, Feng Mountain couldn't be bothered with pleasantries. He immediately yelled, "Yves, get over here! Your daughter wants to watch Crushberry Park."
Yves, who was working nearby, heard this. His calm expression instantly clouded over, and his face darkened.
With a glare, he stormed over in just a few steps, moving like a gust of wind.
Without another word, he snatched up Fiona, held her down on his lap, and raised his hand. WHAP! WHAP! A few quick spanks landed.
Fiona immediately started wailing, crying and struggling under the assault.
Hearing the commotion, the other children who had been watching the movie gathered around, curiously observing the scene.
"Buddy, hitting your kid is also a crime," David said, hesitating for a moment. Unable to bear the sight, he tried to reason with Yves while preparing to step in and stop him.
With quick reflexes, Feng Mountain grabbed David's arm to stop him. "How would you feel," he asked darkly, "if your kid were watching Crushberry Park every single day?"
David's expression darkened instantly. He looked over at Fiona, who was still getting spanked and crying for help, and the corner of his mouth twitched.
After a moment of silence, he gritted his teeth.
"Yves, hit her harder! Don't hold back!"
Yves, who was still holding Fiona down, glanced up and shot David an irritated look, muttering to himself.
'Easy for you to say, since it's not your kid getting hit.'
'Hit her harder? A few smacks to teach her a lesson is one thing, but what if I actually hurt her?'
And so, despite his menacing posture, Yves clearly held back. The slaps landing on Fiona felt like they were padded with cotton; his bark was definitely worse than his bite.
After a few more token smacks, Yves let go of Fiona and asked in a stern, loud voice.
"Are you going to watch it again?"
By now, Fiona's face was a mess of tears. She was sobbing uncontrollably, her small shoulders hitching as she looked utterly wronged.
Hearing her father's question, she quickly shook her little head, her voice thick with tears.
"I won't! I won't watch it anymore!"
With a soft sigh, Yves let Fiona go.
The little girl had just received a dose of "fatherly affection." And though her eyes were still red-rimmed and streaked with tears, her mischievous streak hadn't diminished in the slightest.
She dashed back to her friends in a flash, not forgetting to turn around and make a face at Feng Mountain.
Seeing Fiona's impish expression, Feng Mountain could only shake his head and laugh. He sighed to himself.
'These little monkeys in the camp are getting wilder by the day with no adults watching over them. I need to find a way to rein them in and get them under control.'
With that thought in mind, Feng Mountain raised his head. His gaze swept the area and landed on Zicao, who was focused on grilling meat nearby.
"Zicao, come over here."
Hearing Khilla call her name, Zicao handed the grilling duties to one of her people and walked briskly toward Feng Mountain with a bright smile.
Feng Mountain pointed toward the children, who were chattering away while watching the movie.
"I remember your tribe had a teacher named Lucy, right? Go ask her if she'd be interested in coming to the Crown Territory to teach. We'll provide room, board, and a salary."
"You got it!" Zicao replied cheerfully, nodding without a moment's hesitation.
Just then, a cheer suddenly erupted from the crowd, sweeping across the entire gathering.
The children sitting all around had the sharpest ears.
The moment they heard the noise, they were like a pack of wild ponies that had broken loose, turning and bolting toward the cheering crowd while shouting at the top of their lungs.
"Tyson's here! The Tiger Pack is here!"
Feng Mountain looked up to see the Tiger Pack striding majestically, swaggering across the wooden bridge.
Leading the way was, of course, the massive and adorably chubby Tyson. His stripes seemed to glint under the lights, making him look like a king inspecting his domain.
Perched on Tyson's back was Coca-Cola, its eyes darting about as it curiously surveyed its surroundings.
The arrival of the Tiger Pack kicked the already lively and festive atmosphere of the gathering up another notch.
These majestic tigers were the celebrities of the Crown Territory. In front of the crowd, they behaved like giant, domesticated house catsโobedient and docile, showing no signs of a temper. They even let people freely stroke their soft fur.
The children were bolder still. They crowded around, reaching out with their small hands to gently pet the tigers' backs and heads. A few even climbed right onto their backs.
The adults, meanwhile, were all pulling out their phones to record the scene and show it off on Facebook.
Meanwhile, on a nearby patch of grass, Ashes led the herd of horses as they ambled unhurriedly toward the crowd.
After the lesson from their last conflict, Ashes was clearly much more subdued. His head hung low, and his ears were no longer pricked up with their usual vigilance.
The hostility in his eyes when he looked at the Tiger Pack was completely gone. Now, he seemed more like a docile follower, just coming along to join in on the fun.
Amid the hustle and bustle of the crowd, a sharp, loud voice suddenly rang out. Then, Loki appeared, swaggering through the people with Tu'Er in tow.
"Make way, please! Pictures, 1 US Dollar! Pictures with us, 2 US Dollars!"
