"What are you doing on your phone?"

Daniel, who had been sitting silently in the front passenger seat, happened to glimpse Little Tom’s furtive movements with his phone, his eyes instantly growing wary.

Almost at the same moment, he lunged toward Little Tom in the back seat and snatched the phone away.

Little Tom, absorbed in what he was doing on his phone, jumped in fright. Before he could even react, the phone was ripped from his hands.

After grabbing the phone, Daniel’s eyes swept over the just-sent text message. His expression changed drastically, and he immediately shouted, "Boss, he sold us out! He told someone our location!"

Gordon took the phone from Daniel and read the message.

His face instantly grew as dark as a storm cloud.

Then, he slowly raised his head, his gaze like a cold, sharp blade, fixed on Little Tom’s panicked face.

"Buddy, that wasn’t a good move. Do you know how they deal with traitors in Alaska?"

"Our boss didn’t hurt you. Why would you give away our location?"

Little Tom was pale with fright, his lips trembling. He wanted to explain himself but couldn’t get the words out. For a moment, he was speechless, only able to look at Gordon with pitiful, terror-filled eyes.

After a long moment, he finally stammered out.

"I... I... I’m the West Yellowstone Sheriff. The kidnapping happened in my jurisdiction. I... I have the right to report the situation to my superiors. Besides, you’re Sheriffs too. We’re colleagues. More people means more strength. That’s the only way to rescue Sister Jenny safely."

Upon hearing this, Gordon’s face twisted into a cold sneer, his smile dripping with contempt and mockery.

Then he slowly drew the Hunting Knife from his waist. Its blade glinted coldly in the sunlight.

He pressed the tip of the blade against Little Tom’s throat. The slightest pressure would be enough to break the fragile skin.

"Hmph. It’s precisely because you’re the Sheriff of West Yellowstone City that we haven’t hurt you. Now tell me, with that message sent, do you think someone might tip off the ski resort?"

"Or are you naive enough to think that every Sheriff in West Yellowstone City is an incorruptible, selfless paragon of justice? Don’t be so naive, buddy."

Gordon’s words were filled with disdain for Little Tom’s naive thinking.

"Boss, stop wasting words on him. Just kill him already!" Parker’s eyes revealed a vicious streak, like he was looking at a helpless, dying reindeer.

"Traitor." Daniel silently picked up a coil of rope.

"I’m warning you, if anything happens to Jenny and the others because of your stupid stunt, I guarantee you’ll die a very, very painful death. I’ll use this Hunting Knife to slice your throat open, bit by bit, just like bleeding a reindeer, and let you slowly savor the taste of death."

As he spoke, Gordon applied a little pressure.

The sharp tip of the Hunting Knife pressed a shallow cut into Little Tom’s throat.

Little Tom could feel the sharp blade threatening his life.

Fear instantly engulfed him. He could only shake his head nonstop, whimpering faint pleas for mercy.

"I really... didn’t think it through... I just wanted to save Sister Jenny."

However, Gordon smelled a familiar scent permeating the car.

It was exactly the same as the smell of urine released by prey after being killed during a hunt.

He glanced down and saw a large wet patch on Little Tom’s crotch and the seat.

Little Tom was slumped in his seat, his face ashen, his eyes filled with terror and shame.

Gordon shot Little Tom a contemptuous look, put away his Hunting Knife, and looked coldly at the other three men.

"Parker, tie him up. Bind his hands and feet tightly. Clean up the seat, too. We’ll let the boss decide if he lives or dies later."

Parker didn’t hesitate for a second. He quickly took out a rope and walked over to Little Tom.

With practiced, rough movements, he tied Little Tom’s hands tightly behind his back and bound his feet together with a dead knot, deliberately tying him into a hog-tied, bow-like position.

Little Tom didn’t resist at all, only muttering quietly that he hadn’t done anything wrong.

Gordon continued speaking, his eyes showing his wariness as he methodically assigned tasks.

’This text message has completely derailed the rescue plan. Not only could they take frantic revenge on Jenny and the others, but the entire rescue operation could fail.’

’If the kidnappers have accomplices on the outside, will they come back for support after receiving this message?’

’That would put the boss in a pincer attack.’

At this thought, Gordon could no longer sit still. He quickly spoke to the other two.

"Abbot, drive the other cars into the middle of the road and block it. Prevent anyone from entering the mountain path from the outside."

"Daniel, take the Witchcraft Artifact and find two high-ground positions. Parker will meet you there later."

"I’m going to inform the boss."

After giving his orders, Gordon got out of the car, phone in hand.

The outside air hit him in a rush, and he couldn’t help but shiver.

However, knowing his life wasn’t in immediate danger, the terrified Little Tom still insisted his actions had been correct.

’As a Sheriff, reporting the situation to my uncle was adding support to the rescue operation.’

"I wasn’t wrong! Uncle Sean will definitely bring people to help you! You have to believe me!"

"Believe you?"

Parker couldn’t help but let out a short laugh, a mocking expression on his face.

He reached out and gently patted Little Tom’s naive, innocent-looking cheeks, as if mocking his ignorance.

"Fack idiot!" Parker said slowly, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Our boss got a call when he was heading into the mountains. The call made it perfectly clear. The biggest backer of the West Yellowstone City Biker Gang is none other than your dear uncle—Sheriff Sean."
