Law of the Devil

Chapter 7 [Poisonist]

Chapter v

Continuous blows have left Count Raymond very disappointed in his son. Disappointed, he tried harder.

Don't get me wrong, he doesn't have the heart to spend any more time on such a talentless idiot son. The Count placed the “effort” direction on his beautiful Countess.

Now that the son is a waste, he is destined to be incapable of inheriting his family and cannot bring it to life. So... you have to make an effort to make a son again!

The Count's planting and cultivation on the Lady for a month in a row finally worked. Soon after, the Countess became pregnant again, and just in the winter of the second year, Count Raymond received his second son as he wished.

While the entire Count's House was celebrating this happiness, Dewey was still in his room reading the "Pharmacy” book that he had so easily collected.

Thank goodness the last sentence of the Clark Mage came to fruition when he walked away. With the idea of "what could possibly be worse”, the Count simply sent his idiot son to study magic.

For almost a whole few months, the Count did not have the heart to take another look at this son, who completely disappointed him. Even the Countess, who had a crush on Dewey, had to visit her son less often because of the impending pregnancy.

Just the day after her mother gave birth to her younger brother, Dewey was taken to the Count's room by a servant to visit her post-partum weak mother and her younger brother.

As you can see, Lord Count is satisfied. Because this newborn son, like the Rollins tradition, cried vibrantly and although he was just born, he could see that he was bound to be strong in the future.

Count Raymond didn't even have the interest to look at this scumbag son more than once, and after courteous greetings, waved him away. Although the Countess in bed was a little intolerant, the cries of her newborn baby caught her attention.

Dewey stepped out quietly, followed by a satisfactory laugh from the Count, and a cry from the baby. Though the heart was clear, Dewey couldn't help but give birth to a slight loss.

He reminded himself in his heart: don't let the imagination run wild. You are not from this world, he is not your father... and she is not...

Thinking of that rainy night, this beautiful woman had knelt for herself all night in front of the statue of the goddess, Dewey gave birth to a hint of sourness and shook her head forcefully.

Working hard to get rid of minds, Dewey can only divert all attention away from learning.

It is undeniable that Dewey is still very interested in the magic of the world. Though the Clark Mage found him to be devoid of talent, Dewey, who was unwilling, was fortunate. Naturally, there is a considerable collection of books in the Count Hall, many of which are about magic.

After reading many books, Dewey had to admit that the Clark magician was right that he had not become a magician's gift. Because even if he sat there day and night, he didn't feel any fluctuations in magic elements. One more time, he even went to sleep unknowingly.

Subsequently, less than Dewey, the heart of the Yellow River, shifted his energy to what Master Clark called "magic pharmacology”.

Because, it seems, magic pharmacology is also a magic. And the magician, too, is barely a magician. Though, Dewey asked the servants of the house to find out what this so-called "sorcerer's kind” is really like in the hearts and minds of the world!

In this world, even the magician is known to be a magician, and even the magic society has confirmed this publicly in black and white. But actually, the real idea is, "Is this a magician?" ”

Magical Pharmacy, as the name implies, is to study the configuration of various magic potions.

And much more, Dewey made a very good metaphor: if you compare the healthcare industry in the world of your past life. Well, a true magician is the equivalent of a doctor in every subject in the hospital! And a magician... at best a little nurse who beats a doctor. Although they all work in hospitals, the status and income of nurses are far less than those of real doctors.

But after careful study, Dewey became very interested in this kind of magic medicine!

In his view, this is a very new area.

For example… how to use the Doroger Frog's eyeballs, combined with purple vervain, to create a mute that can turn people into speechless in a short period of time. For example, how do you grind up a pesticidal powder with Staffon Dragon's saliva plus triloba and a gram of triangular scallop's liver?

For example, powder that is sun-dried and crushed with a substance extracted from scallops can instantly cause combustion anywhere!

However, the names of the animals and plants mentioned above, especially the “jumping frog," “sword ruler,” “gram triangle scallop," “fire scallop," and so on, there are nine of them, which is something that Dewey has never heard of.

Like what?

It's like a chemical system in another world!

Dewey never thought that so-called magic could be explained that way!

Medicines that make you dumb, medicines that make you petrify, medicines that cause burning... that's interesting, isn't it?

The profession of magician, in Dewey's mind, is actually more like a doctor. However, doctors are saviors, while magicians are better at making poisons that harm people.

What Dewey doesn't know is that his idea coincides with what people around the world say about magic pharmacists: poisoners.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Days go by day by day. Dewey remains obsessed with this magical pharmacology. Nevertheless, his knowledge can only be read on paper. After all, many of the thousands of strange raw materials mentioned in magic pharmacology are not available even in the county house of the Rollins, the nobleman.

These materials are only available in the labs of real magicians. And in the magic field, pharmacists are often also the role of assistants and handlers to real magicians.

And even if he were the son of the Earl, a child so young, no one would dare offer him those dangerous magic potions!

Unconsciously, six years have passed. Over the past six years, Dewey's younger brother thrived, a child named “Gabriel," more like a typical Rollin heir than the idiot Dewey.

This Dewey's brother has been healthy and vibrant since childhood. At the age of six, he has begun training for the Guardian Alpha Swordsman. The chief guard is said to have a very good opinion of the Count's second son. Almost everyone in the house sees him as the future hope of the Rollins! And the Count obviously took all care of his second son, and he even decided to wait another two years, when Gabriel was eight years old, to officially teach him the martial arts skills of the Rollins!

The love of the servants, the praise of the chief guard, the strangeness of the father, even an enlightened teacher who had been invited thought the Count's second son to be gifted. I have even heard that the Count has decided to marry a family member in Tiduri for the future of his six-year-old son!

And beyond that, Dewey, the eldest son of the family, was forgotten in the corner.

The Count rarely even sees his eldest son for a month. Only, only the Countess, often comes in private to see her son, and even occasionally at night, the Countess comes to Dewey's room naked in her pajamas, hugging her poor child, singing her hypnosis and putting him to sleep.

Only then will Dewey's heart soften. Sometimes he had to pretend to escape such moments that he had an impulse to cry, often accompanied by the Countess' tears and sighs.

Finally, when Dewey was thirteen and his brother Gabriel was seven, a message came. It is also the final decision of Lord Count!

Starting next year, he began to teach Gabriel martial arts personally and his Rollins family genetics. Meanwhile, Count Raymond and the Imperial Minister of Finance have made a marriage agreement, and the two political allies rely on this marriage for further cooperation, while Gabriel's future wife will be the granddaughter (now nine years old) of the Imperial Minister of Finance!

In fact, there is also news that this affair was decided very early! Even before Gabriel was born! However, Dewey was the one who was supposed to marry the treasury secretary's daughter! Only now that Dewey has been considered a hopeless idiot, it is his brother, the genius, Gabriel, who is the object of a marriage that carries the heavy burden of two alliances!

As for Dewey...

He left Didu on a month-long night in a carriage. He travelled to the territory of the Rollins in the southern province of Cote d 'Ivoire! The announcement was that "Young Master Dewey, who is thirteen years old and about to become an adult, will go to the family territory to take care of the family's property”.

And in fact, Dewey understands very well that he's been assigned.

Care of the family business? It was just a joke. Everyone knows that the important cause of the family is in Didu! In the political center of this empire! And what industries in the family territory... what farmland? The farmers? And the taxes? All you have to do is send a few housekeepers!

And in fact, the exact news that Dewey received was that he was going to leave the Count's house and live in the family's ancestral home in a countryside in the southern province of Cote d 'Ivoire! And... without the summons of the Count, he will never return to the Emperor!

Everyone understands that the title "heir to the Rollins" has been transferred from Dewey's head to his seven-year-old genius brother.

(Finished, leave some tickets before you go.
