Lazy Dungeon Master
Don Sama, River Town (South)
After crossing the river across the town of Don Sama, I was so tired that I went straight to the inn. And I slept well until just before I left the next morning.
Hey, you slept well after you moved your body.
"It doesn't look the same north or south, but I wonder what really makes the difference"
"The Adventurer Alliance isn't in conflict, it's above all."
It doesn't matter if we travelers are at odds or not.
At best, at the inn. "Yesterday in the north? It is. It'll be warmer and more comfortable in the south," so much so. I don't see the difference. I gave it back with a loving laugh even though I thought so.
"Okay, so we're leaving Don Sama today, but don't you forget something or something?
"I had fish in the street, and I had fish for dinner. Well, don't worry, even if you forgot to eat, you can eat on your way home."
"Mr. Ichika is just fine. Mr. Kama is."
"Neither does this one in particular. All you have to do is take a request at the Adventurers Guild, okay?
"Resolving the Obsession of Inn Parents and Children."
"Because I won't."
That's why I came to the Adventurer's Guild in South Don Sama. Looks like Wataru was delivering the baggage he left at North Don Sama within yesterday, and I get a delivery request for the next town and imperial capital without anything in particular to give.
I was just about to leave, and Wataru was called off.
"Dear Wataru. A request has just been made to escort Master Wataru to Corky. Can you take it? They're being escorted by merchants there."
"Hmm? What do you want to do, Mr. Kama?"
Is that what you ask me? I thought so, but speaking of which, it was my body that hired Wataru as an escort.
If so, I have the right to decide who the client is. Corky, by the way, is the next big town name. Three days each way in a carriage.
"Put that merchant on the carriage because it's narrow."
"I have a carriage. Normally, I'm just taking it on the move."
Wataru says as he looks at the requisition form he received from the receptionist.
By the way, how did you find this destination to be Corky, when Wataru said in a voice you can normally hear around him, "I'm going to Empire City via Corky, do you have a delivery request? 'Cause he said so." There seems to be nothing particularly suspicious...
"Why a Wataru nomination? It would be quite expensive to charge the brave man."
"Sometimes I do. Sometimes it's an end in itself to get brave men to escort you."
You mean you want to be close to the brave? I see. You're a brave man even if you rot.... but I still feel that one gold coin is expensive with a three-day escort to Wataru opponents.
"If you didn't take it, you wouldn't. Switch to a regular escort request and a suitable adventurer will escort you. So make up your mind, Mr. Kama."
"Then you can take it. If Wataru gets in the Merchant's carriage, our carriage will be wide enough for one."
"Yep... well fine"
With that said, Wataru went to the receptionist to tell him to accept the request. A merchant asked Wataru to shake his hand with great joy, and Wataru was responding to it.
... Some of it's like this jump in request.
And, after greeting him, Wataru came back. The merchant heads outside in a hurry.
He said, "I'll get more baggage. I want you to wait a little longer."
"I see. If you do have a brave escort, you'll be safe first, and you'll lose money if you don't get your nomination fee back."
"Well, from here on in the beginning, Corky isn't that insecure.... I had sightings of one bandit group that was going to hit me, so it would be just fine to fish for it, I designated it as up to four carriages at a time."
Oh, the bandits are fishing. Does that mean an escort to the premise that we're going to fight each other this time......
"Mr. Kama, have you ever been a murderer? If you haven't, I don't think you have to."
Once I was a dungeon master, but I don't know because it's indirect.
If a bandit attacked you... can you even lay your hands on it directly? Uhm. Don't be nervous.
"By the way, the normal C-rank is an escort... which means you need a level where you can also play against people like bandits. Mr. Kama was D-ranked, how about that?
"If we don't have a strong enemy, we'll figure it out. Even if we're surrounded, we can buy time, so help us if it's dangerous."
Okay, I'll take care of it.
I have magic as well as clothing golems. I think I can handle it.
Gozo and Lop are C-ranked, and the strawberries were originally C-ranked, so as to be ok...... Nik also has more fighting power than the strawberries, and killing or not would be controllable regardless.
By the way, your husband also seems to have the equivalent of a C-rank adventurer. That is one of the nobles.
Is Locco the only problem? Though there's a clothes golem, I can't think of the sight of him fighting. Rapier on the hip, but that's a decoration, isn't it?
I'm not human. What does Rokuko mean by the best ordinary person?
... Well, shall we have an escort around the strawberries?
So, what if we wait in front of the South Gate at the rendezvous point?
"Right."
So we waited in front of the South Gate on Don Sama's way to the imperial side.
Looks like Figs and Nik headed up to nearby stalls to get food.... Didn't I forget to eat?
"Still, I can't believe it's a nomination request... Wataru is famous"
"You're a brave man."
"It's a little strange to see you in our inn, isn't it?"
"It's a wattage."
Waiting for me and Rokuko to chat like that, Wataru turned up.
"Were you talking to me right now?
"I was. You treat our village completely differently than you treat it outside."
"The village of Sora Gorene is special. Because the village chief is Mr. Kama."
"So is that," Rokuko nods to Wataru, who says I'm bad. Why.
It doesn't matter that I'm the village chief... how dare I be the decorative village chief. The vice village chief Wozma, the adventurer guild receptionist, and the adventurer representative should mean Gozo has more authority.
"Speaking of which, I remembered in the village. How's it going with Nerne?
"Yeah, it's just fine! We talked about going on a date with Zia the next time Mr. Nerne's appointment is available. So please adjust Mr Locco, Mr Nerne's rest. Rather pay me, so pay me."
"I can't help it...... I'll leave Nerne for the next time Wataru comes. I'll lend it."
"Thank you!
Is that it? Nerne's always on leave when Wataru gets here, isn't he? so that we can respond adequately.
Nothing. I should be fine enough to go on a date to Zia... well, okay.
Then some more time later, a merchant arrived to be escorted.
Four front carriages. Looks like he's loaded a lot. Do you think the merchant who is in charge of this is also wearing [storage]?... but you don't get stuck with too much luggage and a broken wheel, do you?
Yes, I have to think about something extra and flag it.
"Thank you, brave men."
"Yeah, I'll take care of it. If we're escorting you, you'll be fine with the dragon."
"That's comforting"
A merchant with a sticky head down this way, too. It's a pleasure to meet you over the next three days.
We took the merchant out of the gate and left for the next town.
Wataru predicted the raid... but even with the raid, I'm sure Wataru will work at the level of "I guess he can be alone anymore".
