2-4 Crusade Request Hunt the Goblin Herd!
After his magic measurements, Takumi returned to the reception for a brief procedure to successfully complete his adventurer registration.
Takumi then tried to get the request quickly, but Walnut's "Takumi, do you have any weapons?" In a word, Takumi and Walnut were currently coming to a store that handled the city's weapons and protective equipment.
The store sells everything from beginner weapons made of cheap materials such as lots of swords, spears, bows, and possibly canes used by magicians to weapons likely to be used by veteran adventurers made of elevated materials.
"Uh-huh...... I figured I'd have the best sword."
In order to find the right weapon for him, Takumi was trying to swing and set up various weapons for the runaway adventurer in a room where he could try and swing inside the store.
Then I tried everything, but apparently Takumi had the longsword firmest. Takumi was a swordsman when he was in the original world, so he felt like he could use it because the long sword felt the same way as the bamboo knife.
Walnut saw Takumi bare her long sword and put it back on her sheath, and put her arms together as she remembered when she was new to being an adventurer.
"That's a long sword. But I still recommend daggers ~! It's light, and I think it's easy to use around the corner!
When Walnut put it that way, he shook his sword bare and bragged his nose as he pulled out his dagger to make it look like Takumi.
"Say!
Takumi applauded the walnut with an exclamation.
"Oh... a dagger. Well, then, let's get to both the long sword and the dagger. You're still good at cooking, so knife tweezers... No, you're confident in dagger tweezers"
"No, I don't think it has anything to do with cooking knives and handling daggers..."
And the bitter laughing walnut and for some reason the satisfied Takumi followed a room where they could try and swing.
Takumi then bought long swords, daggers and easy protective equipment for the run out. Armor is a mobility focused armor only where fatal injuries occur if attacked.
I left the store and saw how Takumi was in a good mood wearing new gear. Did Walnut come up with anything. I pulled Takumi's arm sleeve.
"Hey! I bought the gear because of it, so why don't you give it a quick crusade request?
"Well, I'd like to grasp the senses a little bit."
"Then it's settled! Go ~!"
- Whoa, whoa.
And they visited Arcadia Castle again to receive the request. Requests for guild designation are also seen at reception, but are also sticking out on bulletin boards, each divided by rank.
Takumi and Walnut looked around at various requests because there didn't happen to be many people in front of the bulletin board.
Various requests ranged from collecting medicinal herbs, looking for people, and escorting to monster crusades. Overall, the number of higher-ranking requests seems to be small, but there were some dangerous requests such as dragon breeds.
Walnut, a little short in front of such Takumi, looked back pointing to the requisition that was stuck out whether he had found anything.
"Takumi! Do you think this is it? Goblin Herd Crusade"
The request concerns the crusade of a few goblins who have recently settled in the forest west of the Holy City. Apparently, he wants to ask for it as soon as possible on a request made by a nearby village. Goblin himself is a D-rank monster, but he seems to have a few of them, so it seemed to be a C-rank request.
"Heh... C-rank request? If I have to do this, I'll have walnuts, and you'll be okay? All right! Let's do this, then!
Since we decided to request an order, Walnut took the requisition and the two of us completed the process at the reception. The receptionist was surprised for a moment that the S-ranked walnut would take the C-rank request, but seeing Takumi next door convinced one person that Takumi felt intrinsically complicated.
- Whoa, whoa.
Then the two requested quickly headed to the woods of purpose. Fortunately, nothing happened on the road, and when I left Astrea and walked for about two hours, I reached a village with a client, a village chief, near the forest of destination.
The village entered his sight, and Takumi stretched out and exhaled.
"Phew, you walked pretty well..."
"Really? I think this village's still closer, don't you?
Then a gatekeeper with a spear stood as he headed to the entrance to the village. The two told the village gatekeeper about the situation and were led to the village chief's house.
Walking through the village with the village gatekeeper at the head for a while, the village gatekeeper stopped in front of a two-story building rare in this wooden village.
(This is the village chief's house... It's certainly splendid compared to other buildings...)
"Village Chief! We have brought the requested adventurers!
After a while, when permission was given to enter the house, the two entered the village chief's house with the village gatekeeper at the head.
In the chair behind the room I can see an old man sitting like a village chief writing some paperwork. And when Takumi and the others entered the house, he stood up using a cane and slowly approached the three of them in a foothold.
Then Walnut, who came out a step ago, gently bowed his head to the village chief and introduced himself.
"I'm the one who's been asked. I am also known as the adventurer Kanzaki Walnut, 'Black Meteor'. See you later."
"Oh, what a S rank adventurer to come by"
When Walnut introduced himself so, the village chief welcomed him so with a grin.
But I have seen Takumi with a disgruntled face from top to bottom in a response that is the opposite of that. I felt disgusted when they saw me wandering, but Takumi also introduced herself by lowering her head to mimic the walnut.
"Uh, it's Takumi Kiryu, still a runaway adventurer."
"Run out or I'll ask you not to pull your legs at most."
(Wow... I knew you handled it differently...)
I was a little dissatisfied with the village chief's attitude, but Takumi quietly walked away from the scene with a walnut shaking his fist with a grin when he calmed down and gently interpreted it.
- Whoa, whoa.
Then when I left the village and reached the woods, one walnut was angry.
"Mmm, you don't have that way of saying it! Takumi, let's accomplish the request and definitely give it back!
"Ha... Well, since you're a low-ranking adventurer, don't you have a choice?
"Still, that's terrible..."
"Well, well... he said that walnuts never get sick. Let's get out of here."
Takumi smiled bitterly and gave it back to Walnut, and the two went into the woods.
Then a few minutes after the two of them went into the woods, the walnut suddenly stopped staring at the ground. Looks like Walnut found something.
"Found..."
Takumi looked closely at the ground with the walnut pointing her finger as she peered in, with a small footprint of something.
"What's this?
"This is a goblin trail, isn't it? They're still new, and they should be nearby. Wait a minute, I'll explore the signs."
That being said, Takumi asked with surprise and whisper to the walnuts who closed their eyes quietly and put their hands on the ground.
"Oh, you know what the signs are?
"As long as you grasp the feeling, you'll know it somewhat. Hmm...... over there! There's three of them."
And as they proceeded for a while carefully so that they could not be found unaware of the other monsters by those to whom the slow-eyed walnut gave them, they found three goblins wandering with swords and shields.
As the two lowered their hips in the grass, Walnut took control of Takumi with his hands and pulled out his dagger.
"The three of us... Then I'll do two of them, so Takumi's all right!
"Copy that!"
Exchanging words like that in a low voice, Takumi jumped out of the grass just as the walnut popped out first and let the kunai out on the two first and drew their attention.
Takumi pulled the long sword out of her waist and packed the distance at once. The goblin that was the target of Takumi also roared as he noticed this one.
"It's late!"
Takumi jumped into Goblin's pocket the moment Goblin shook his sword up and cut off Goblin's belly as he made a mistake. Then blood splashed from the wounds on Goblin's body, slightly grated behind him.
"Damn... Was it shallow!
Takumi couldn't seem to be fatally injured when she looked back and confirmed, and Goblin ran over here holding his sword again as she looked back with a groan.
(Give it a try...)
Takumi, who saw it, pulled a new dagger out of his hips and calmed down with a dagger to bring it in line with the sword that the running goblin had waved down and slightly deflected the sword's orbit.
"All right!"
Takumi threw away his dagger as it was, setting up a long sword and aiming at the imbalanced goblin.
"Added Magic“ Ice ""
As Takumi chanted the magic, the long sword wore cold air. And toward Goblin's chest, which collapsed into shape at the forefront as it was received by the sword he waved down, Takumi protruded his long sword vigorously.
Reacting to it, Goblin tried to prevent the distress by holding a shield in front of his chest, but Takumi's long sword was wrapped around him. The cold air iced the shield, and the long sword penetrated the shield intact, penetrating through Goblin's body, and the blood fell on Takumi's face.
And Goblin, stabbed in the chest by a long sword, fell to his forehead on his knees without being able to withstand the boulders and held his breath.
Takumi's first battle as an adventurer ended successfully in the form of Takumi's victory and leaked a voice of relief.
"Phew..."
Confirming that the goblin would not move again, Takumi wiped the goblin's return blood on his cheek with the back of his hand.
(Blood...? Seeing blood in battle with monsters seems common in this world. Gotta get used to it sooner...)
Looking at the fudge walnut side, the other side was just finishing the fight.
"You're a boulder, Takumi! I knew you had the sense to fight!
"It might be a little tough on multiple bodies at the same time, but it was one-on-one. More than that. Is that it?
"Uh-huh, what do you think? Maybe he's still in the back... I'm just gonna take a look. Stay back!
And the woods were huge there, so in the end, Takumi started returning to the village, leaving it to the fast moving walnuts.
