3-11 The Truth About Approaching Rumors
Takumi and Iris arrived in Astrea around noon without encountering any particularly dangerous monsters.
Takumi, who entered the town of Astrea, had been on Deprafan since morning and his back was hurting, so he talked to Iris, who walked next to him once he stretched out and sat down.
"It's just the right time for lunch, and we're going to the Arcadia Castle tavern."
Iris said in Takumi's words, "Yes!," they replied, walking out to Arcadia Castle.
Takumi looked at Astrea as she walked and found herself busy as usual. Despite the widespread rumours of the Forest of Death, as usual, the inhabitants of Astrea will also be busy as usual because of their tremendous trust in the walls of Astrea, in the St. Knights of Astrea and in the adventurers.
With that in mind, as they walked, they arrived at the Arcadia Castle tavern. In the tavern, most adventurers didn't seem to take crusade-based requests until the death forest rumors were resolved, and seemed to have fewer adventurers than usual.
Takumi and Iris found two seats appropriately and called the clerk through the menu. After a while, a clerk from a woman I know who occasionally talks to Takumi Tatsuya came and spoke to Takumi Tatsuya.
"Hello, both of you! Is that it? No walnuts today?
Takumi nodded and the clerk's expression clouded when he told her that the walnuts were now out in a study of the forest of death.
"Hmm? What's wrong?
Takumi worried about the clerk with a poor complexion and when she spoke up, the clerk started talking with an excellent look on his face.
"I took a request last night and found a group of adventurers who had been missing since I went to the Forest of Death..."
Takumi found Iris had a surprised look on his face. And Takumi also overheard the clerk's words in surprise.
"Is that true!? I wish they'd found me."
The clerk began to talk with a sad look when he shook his head to the side.
"I did find you. But they were all found dead. I'm not sure because I didn't see it in person, but he was chopped into something big... I've had a few conversations too, so I'm a little shocked..."
"Oh, I'm sorry...... You remind me of something I don't like..."
The two then placed an order to make sure the clerk left before Takumi shrugged.
"You've done something a little sorry..."
Iris made a grin and talked, trying not to encourage Takumi.
"Look, look, Takumi didn't know... Well, cheer up..."
Takumi smiled bitterly when she realized that she had made Iris care of herself and returned the words, "Right," and started talking about what kind of request she would take after lunch with Iris.
