7-13 Trial of the Flaming Emperor 6
Deep underground in Astrea, one girl sat in front of a monitor that floated in the dark, screaming sadly in that monitor during four or six o'clock, hoping to help a boy who would continue to die many times, praying that he would somehow deliver his thoughts.
Two days after Takumi began the trial, about two months had passed in the monitor.
The girl, Sola's cheek, had traces of tears on her cheek for some reason that she hasn't spoken of anything since the start of Takumi's trials. Her face was pale with an awful tired look, and she heard Takumi's sad screams in the monitor again, distorting her face and gripping her clothes hard.
"Takumi..."
Shortly after that someone's hand was gently put on his head, and the surprised Sora looked back to jump.
There stood Fine, staring at Sola with tender eyes and stroking her head, kneeling down next to Sola with one hand a paper bag containing some sandwiches.
"Look, plug it in. Takumi, you haven't eaten anything since your trial started, have you?
"Uh."
And before Sora tried to reply, a lovely noise rang into the room, and the blushing Sora hurriedly suppressed the area around her stomach.
- Whoa, whoa.
Then a while later, Sora was eating the sandwich that Fine had brought with her selflessly.
Sitting next to Sola to see how it was going, Fine asked sideways about Sora's cheeks with tear marks and Takumi squatting "Uzuma" in the saferoom in a notice monitor around her red eyes.
"You know, what was Sola praying for when she saw you in Takumi?
Then Sola stopped her hand eating the sandwich and answered after a period of silence.
"That Takumi's heart won't break. I want to see Takumi again..."
And Fine began gently stroking Sora's head, anxiously leaning down, and Sora stared unexpectedly at Fine's face in surprise.
"Sola, don't forget how you feel about that. The spirits we are contracting are always connected. I'm sure Takumi is still passing that thought on."
Sora nodded with a slight grin when Fine said so with tender eyes.
"Yeah, okay. Thank you, Mr. Feene. Speaking of which, what was Mr. Fine doing when Mr. Kuido was being tried?
Sora asked Fine a fuzzy question, and Fine replied with a slight smile.
"Eh, I was like Sola earlier too..."
And when Sola laughed small, Fine swelled her cheeks.
"Me too! Don't laugh! Oh, don't tell Kuido!? It's embarrassing."
"Hehe, yeah. I won't tell you."
"Oops... Yes, Takumi, I will carry your meal during your trial! Anyway, Kuido's in therapy and he's free."
"Thanks, that helps."
Then again, Sola sent Yale to keep an eye on Takumi, which is reflected on the monitor.
- Whoa, whoa.
Thirty times. This has been about two months since the trial began. The number of times Takumi died.
Takumi leaned against the wall powerless and looked at the ceiling in the saferoom. Such Takumi was in such a state that his soul had fallen out.
Takumi doesn't even know why he's here anymore, but he was possessed by negative emotions.
But there was something still in Takumi's head. That was the name of Takumi's dear friends. Only that it was the name of the one dear to me was on my mind, and now Takumi was also attacked by the fear of when that memory would disappear from my head.
It was such a Takumi, but I knew that I shouldn't be here like this. Probably also having to fight fox-sided men.
And I was already feeling something supporting me in my heart that was about to break.
(You're watching over me... thanks)
Continuous stay in the safe room is currently twenty-one hours. Finally the light returned slightly to Takumi's vain eyes, fluttering but rising.
(I can't lose, I don't want to die and I don't want to forget... So -)
Takumi's eyes, with a certain determination, had no stray colour, and she walked out of the safe room with an orange infarct in her chest with the feeling that she would live with anything.
