The city of Gilm, the only city of the Larks Borderline Berg Territory. Two carriages were travelling down the street leading to the city of the Guild.
The horses pulling the two carriages slowly continue down the road as the entrance clouds still appear in the blue, high sky.
"Oh, it's time you saw the city"
Of the two carriages, Gran squeaks in the larger carriage.
I saw the outer walls of the city of Gilm through the window.
"Uh, you're tired. Even if it's for a rank-up exam, it'll take just a few days to get away."
I guess I was relieved to see the outer wall. Cullot whines unexpectedly and so on.
"Sure, I'm tired... but good for you. The carriages of the merchants who were caught are safe."
"Well. I thought the carriage had a use for bandits."
Yes, the Rays took control of the cave, which was the basis of the bandits, but the carriage was left intact with two merchants caught in a place that was invisible from the woods. Even the bandits would have decided that a carriage could also be used to carry the luggage taken from the person who attacked them. For this reason, it was possible to avoid the situation of having two people on board the carriage of the Alliance, which was critical in capacity, and becoming the wings of a cramped feeling.
Where we can see the city of Gilm, which is also our place of return, Gran taps the walls of the carriage to draw the attention of Spelvia and Ray the watchman sitting in your seat.
"You hear Ray and Spelvia, too?
"Oh."
"No problem."
Gran opens his mouth, nodding at the reply from the person in the audience.
"Now, that's what I've seen of the city of Gilm, and I'll explain it to you when I get back to the city. That said, it's not that hard to talk about. Today when I return to the Alliance, I am dissolved. Please accept the reward for this case at the reception desk. And have them meet again tomorrow afternoon in the guild's conference room. I didn't forget to announce the results of the rank-up exam at that time. It's easy, but this is the place. Any questions?
Cullot opens his mouth to Gran's voice.
"What about the treasure you took from the Bandits' Azito?
"I don't mind if you guys decide around here. But don't imitate the noise by rubbing it badly."
"Okay. So, if we break it up in the guild to keep it from happening, can we split it the mountains early?
Those in the carriage nodded at Cullot's words, and shut up whether there was any particular disagreement with Ray and Spelvia, who were in your seat.
"Well, that's settled. Ray, you heard me, didn't you? Once I dissolve in the guild... uh, where do I distribute the treasure? I can't believe I'm in a guild..."
There are quite a few adventurers of poor quality who work lawlessly wearing ranks. I can only imagine what would happen if they imitated the way they deliberately showed bait in their eyes... a future that would not even be busy for Cullot.
"Right, then let's rent out the upstairs meeting room of the guild. It may be hard to bring it back at once because the quantity is quantity, but do something about it that way."
It was Gran who reached out to such a culot for salvation.
"Huh? Really? Then you don't have to worry about the treasure. Thank you, Mr. Grant."
"Whatever, it's better than being bothered with in the guild."
"What, we... oh, yeah. Maybe it's a little dangerous for an alogan or something."
"Oh, why me alone?"
Alogan and Cullot making a statement like a joke. However, that appearance was not as sinister as it had been at the beginning of the rank-up exam.
That would be natural, too. In the days since the bandits were wiped out, three of them, Alogan, Cullot and Scola, who had been swallowed up every night, spit out their thoughts and broken their bellies to discuss what they thought when they killed the bandits. As a result, Allogan and Cullot were more intentional than the three of them… to the extent that those around them thought what the initial evil was.
(... Honestly, I would have liked that to happen as soon as the rank-up exam started if I could. Well, you mean they were similar to each other in the sense of being mean)
Behind you, Ray smiles bitterly as he listens to the exchanges in the carriage.
Exactly. Being so close to the city of Guild is unlikely to be raided by monsters, so Ray today was more of an act of viewing the scenery than a perimeter alert.
"... Ray"
Spelvia whispers so that she doesn't hear behind her back to such a ray.
"What's wrong?
"No, the... what. I learned a lot this time. I thought I was strong, and I guess it's true that I'm definitely strong in the Rank E range, actually. But I was reminded this time that it was only in a limited world called Rank E."
"Really?
From what Ray saw, Spelvia's strength was perceived as commensurately high. Less, he said, would be better than the eagle claw faces that were prestigious as a Rank D party.
"So, well, I've learned a lot this time, and I just wanted to say that I've had a good experience."
"If that's what you thought, isn't that okay? I didn't do anything special."
In this way, we spent a short time in the city of Gilm talking about what we were looking out for when fighting each other in close proximity, or the battles we had been through.
"Oh, Mr. Ray. Welcome home. Have you successfully completed your Rank Up exam?
When the carriage arrives in front of the main entrance, Langa calls out in a familiar manner.
"Oh, you're safe. There's no such thing as an injured person, and now if I pass the exam, I won't complain..."
Give me your guild card while we have a conversation.
Nearby, those in the carriage had also submitted their guild cards, identity cards and other items to the guards.
"By the way, do you know how Seto's doing?
"Seto hasn't left town yet, has he? I'm talking about coming back from a crusade request yesterday with the face of the scorching wind, so I thought I'd be resting in the stables today."
"Right, okay. Wasn't there anything particularly violent or anything like that?
"Yeah, no such noise."
Ray exhales relief at Langa's words.
No matter how smart Seto said he was in the crowd, he was still subtly worried just because he had never been away for so long before.
"Yes, go ahead. You can come through."
Get permission to cross, and the carriage will enter the city.
Also, the carriage of two merchants was going to break up here because the process seemed more complicated than the adventurers.
Then as we enter the city, we head straight to the guild, where we all get out of the carriage and take out our respective luggage.
Naturally, in Ray's case, all the luggage is in the mistering, and Death Size will get in the way throughout the city, so this one's in the mistering. So it is completely handy. When it comes to arming, it's only the Mithril knife on your hips.
Gran speaks to everyone after each of them unloads their luggage from the carriage.
"All right, thanks for the rank-up exam. Then we shall be dissolved here.... the reward is just like I said in the carriage so you can go and accept it. Besides, you can use it because I'm going to keep the process here regarding the conference room. Now, dissolve."
Gran says so and just walks into the guild. Apparently, the exam supervisor is a supervisor and has a lot of work to do.
"Well, let's go get paid first."
"Right. Don't tell anyone who laughs at a piece of silver to cry at a piece of silver coin."
Cullot proposes and agrees while Alogan says so.
And when we all entered the guild, it was still daytime, so we could barely see the adventurer. Several adventurers are having a late lunch or looking at the board on which the requisition is stuck.
In that situation, the six Rays head to the counter.
I found Ray, and Lenora and Kenny's face glistens.
"Welcome home, Mr. Ray. Have you successfully completed your Rank Up exam?
"Oh, I can handle it. So I came to collect my Rank Up exam rewards. I was told the examiner Gran could have it here."
"Yes, that fits. Please submit your guild card just in case."
"Hey, Lenora. Ray, you think I..."
"Look, Mr. Ray left it to me. Kenny asked for someone else."
"... okay."
Follow Lenora's voice and each of the six split up with several receptionists to submit their guild cards.
Each receives one silver coin by checking and signing the guild card received and the documents on hand.
"Congratulations on finishing your exam. After that, we'll wait for the results of the exam, but in order not to leave you tired, please rest your body today."
"Oh, and let me use the conference room upstairs for a second. I hear Gran's gonna come through."
"Okay. There are no meetings, etc. that will be held using the conference room today, so I don't think it's a problem."
Nodding at Lenora's words, he goes up the stairs and up to the second floor with the other faces who received the reward.
"Ray, when you pass the exam, let's celebrate."
With Kenny's voice like that on his back.
"You have a lot of time with Ray. I was a little surprised."
Firma looking at Ray with an intriguing eye. Next to it, Cullot also opens his mouth with a grin just saying he saw something unusual again.
"I didn't think Ray was an older hobby. I have to be careful with this."
"That's not what you like about me or anything. You're just making fun of me."
"Really? Those eyes looked pretty serious though."
Next to continuing that conversation, Spelvia squeaks bossly.
"... envy"
"Hey, Spelvia!? Was that the character you were!?
"If Ray's taste is surprising, so is Spelvia's character."
Even though we talk foolishly like that, we go inside the conference room and close the door tightly just in case.
"Sa, Ray. Then please."
"Okay."
Cullot prompts me to arrange the weapons and protective equipment, or jewels, money, potions and cheap magic items I bring from the bandits from Mystering, on my desk in the conference room.
In the case of a cheap desk, the amount that I think my leg will break without withstanding its weight. Still, it should be said that the desk in the Adventurer Guild meeting room supports its weight just because there are no problems yet.
Five people look half-hearted at coming out of one space after another with nothing. But when it's all gone in about five minutes, its eyes eventually move to the loot on the desk.
"Now, the question is how do we divide this... even if I say we split 6 equally. Right for starters...... raise each hope. I don't mind being a weapon."
When Ray tells him that, each one of them puts what he wants into his mouth in turn.
Alogan, Cullot is currency. Scola is a magic item for potions and cheap items. Firma is divided into gems, and spelvia is divided into a wind called protective equipment.
"Hey, why is it money to you? Spare weapons and protective gear."
"If I were to say that, you would too, wouldn't you? You're a bandit, so you can use weapons and protective equipment."
Alogan and Cullot began to argue, and the four people, including Ray, looked at it as if they were frightened.
But it is true that such exchanges will eventually get tired of seeing each other after 5 or 10 minutes.
"I'll take about 10 spears and five daggers for now. Anybody got any complaints?
That's what Ray says and turns his gaze to the other five.
"No, there's nothing wrong with a spear and a dagger..."
Everyone on the spot nods at Cullot's voice.
"I don't mind spears or daggers either... but spears are fine, right? You have that big sickle, so you can only use it as a spare."
"What, if you think of it as a throwing spear for throwing, you have a good use for it."
Store 10 spears on your desk and 5 daggers in mystering while answering that to the spelvia you've been asking.
"Well. That's all I got for you, so you can talk to five of us later and make up your mind. It's time for me to go back to the inn. I'm worried about Seto."
"Oh, oh."
"Well, if Ray's okay with that,"
Arogan nodded like he was half-ampressed, and Firma replied that there was no particular problem.
He nodded rather than insisting on anything because he was not particularly wearing what he was after.
Especially if you try alogan, you would have been more than happy with a weapon you can't use, a spear, or a dagger that's not so valuable than Ray being on this scene all the time.
"Then I'll let you go home around here. See you tomorrow at the guild."
All five of them have no particular objection, so Ray will be right behind the scene.
And after such a ray disappeared, the voices of Allogan and Cullott clashing again echoed from inside the conference room.
"Oh, Mr. Ray. Is that enough for the conference room?
As we descend to the first floor of the guild, Lenora calls out from the counter like that.
As usual, Kenny wanted to speak up to Ray, but now he's dealing with other adventurers, so he turned his gaze on Lenora just for a moment.
"You've done my errands. It's just gonna be a while since the other five are still using it."
"Really? Well, like I said earlier, I don't have any plans to use the conference room today, okay?"
Ray leaves the guild with a short conversation that way.
Lenora also smiled and dropped him off because she largely anticipated why Ray was in such a hurry.
And then about 10 minutes later. Ray's figure was in front of the wheat pavilion at dusk, its stables.
There are about 10 skewers in the hand that Seto prefers to have bought at the outdoor store.
"Grrrrrrrrrrrr!"
And the roar of Seto's joy echoes into the stables.
With that chirping, Lana, Ray's Inn's general, will be noticed later because the horse in the stables was frightened...
Now, I was just happy to reunite with Seto for the first time in a few days.
