The Rays descend to the second floor of the dungeon and continue straight to the third floor, looking at the map again.
"I was wondering how difficult it is because I say dungeon...... that's less difficult than I thought!
Ara whines as she slashes and throws away with or without the poison toad of about 1m that jumped on her.
Next to it, Ray similarly releases a flamebullet, wrapping up a giant bat that was gazing at the gap from above and turning it into an extinguishing charcoal.
"It's still upstairs in the basement, so I guess it's for beginners... duh!
Ver releases an arrow to a giant frog who was in a remote position in response to Ara.
As she watches how it goes, Elaine also manipulates and assaults the connecting sword, slashing and tearing the coming bat with its whipped sword.
"The enemy is weak, but it's troublesome when there's so many of them."
"You're certainly right, Master Elaine."
Custe also nods as he pierces the approaching Soldier Ant with his demon spear, trying to sew the gap between Elaine and the others acting as a group.
"Probably because the number of monsters living in the dungeon has decreased, the nucleus of the dungeon has transferred new monsters. It was written in a book about the dungeon."
The sweep of the monster that has been attacked is complete, and Ray answers to Elaine as she feeds the bat that cut off her feathers to Seto, just as she did on the ground floor. Note that the poison toad has only been cut off from the flesh of the foot and stored in the misting.
"Well, then I guess we were simply unlucky.... Well, there's no problem with enemies of this magnitude. We have to hurry."
Follow Elaine's instructions and continue on the second basement staircase. And when it was time to see the stairs on the map...
"Another customer."
Ray squeaks as he builds his death size.
"Now what, Lord Ray? Frogs? Ants? Bats? Honestly, it's very troublesome to deal with all these miscellaneous fish."
"No, you have trouble telling me that. If you say so, do the dungeon nuke, boss monster....... hmm? Looks like Ara got what she wanted."
"Yes?"
What Ray's ears could hear was not the sound of a giant bat key squealing, nor the footsteps of a soldier ant, nor the sound of a poison toad bouncing. That's the walking sound of a two-legged walking being.
"Gru."
Seto squeaking behind a line. It's just a chirp to take to Elaine and the others, but I realize that to my partner, Ray, it's a chirp that shows vigilance.
"Dear Elaine, apparently you're pinching me. From the sound of Seto, they're targeting the same enemies from behind."
"Well, all the monsters I've encountered so far didn't have the intelligence to do the pinching, but apparently not next time."
"Well, that being said, it's still upstairs in the basement of the dungeon, so it's probably not a high-ranking monster."
Whimpering, Vel pulling the bow. And it was certainly a different monster that showed up from the end of the aisle, but at the same time it was what Ver said it was.
"Goblin."
As Custe groaned abominably, nearly 10 goblins emerged from the end of the aisle. Most are armed with weapons such as long swords and daggers, equipped with simple shields and armor.
"... you seem quite well armed for a goblin"
"Probably stole it in this dungeon, or raided the adventurers, and got it."
I also hear voices from those behind me saying Ray is answering Elaine, who looks oddly impressed.
"Dear Elaine, we've got about five armed goblins in the back."
Elaine interrupts Ver's words immediately. Personal martial arts, of course, but it is with this instantaneous judgment that we are called the Princess General.
"Does it take the opposite time to avoid fighting like this? I have no choice. Ray, are you okay with Seto and you being the only five goblins behind this?
"No problem at all"
"Then I asked for the back. We'll take the top 10 goblins."
Okay, let's get this over with.
Ray nods and moves behind through Elaine and Ver.
"Grrrrrrrr"
Seto greets Ray as he throats, but at the end of that gaze there were five goblin figures, as Ver said.
Normally, we feel a difference in character between Griffon and Griffon, and we rarely attack from ourselves, but unlike places like the woods and forests, this is a dungeon, and these goblins have been transferred by the nucleus of the dungeon. For this reason, there is no hesitation at all in carrying out attacks on superficial beings that are not normally carried out.
"Two long swordholders, three daggers?... Seto doesn't look too happy."
"Gru."
Seto nodding as if to exhale. Anyway, Goblin's Demon Stone gets bought and beaten at a pretty low price, and there's no material I can take in particular. And the meat is also very unpleasant, so I'm not happy with Seto at all. Is the salvation at least about how much Goblin's weapon seems to be able to use when his right ear buys him out of three copper coins as a crusade proof site?
"... No, you can't"
Anyway, Goblin is not intelligent. Concerted actions such as pinching, as we did this time, can be carried out, but concepts such as taking care of weapons do not exist. For this reason, most of Goblin's weapons are rusted with blood that would belong to the adventurer, and if they were recovered, they would be useless if they were not taken care of by blacksmiths and weapons stores. And in that case, the majority of the time selling a weapon does not amount to that much, given the difference.
"I can't help it. Seto, let's do it!
"Grr!"
Ringing briefly at Ray's voice, Seto kicks the ground and approaches Goblin. Next to it, Ray also shrinks his distance from the goblins as he sets the death size again.
"Gah, gah, gah!"
It was a goblin slashed with a long sword as he shouted a threatening voice at Seto, who attacked him, but at the moment when his sword was shaken, Seto kicked the ground and jumped toward the wall, attacking it with a trigonometric jumping procedure toward Goblin, who scaffolded the wall further and swung a blow by the long sword.
"Grrrrrrrr!"
The blow from the forefoot released with the roar also ruptures the head of the goblin on the spot with the effect of a rigid bracelet, a magic item worn by Seto.
Next to it, the torso of the two goblins, which had been blinded by a sudden triangle jump of ceto, had been nicely split between the upper and lower body by a death-sized flash of ray swinging across the horizontal giraffe.
"Two left!
Ray flips his body as he screams. Then, at the next moment, the sword of the swinging goblin passes through the space where Ray was until a moment ago.
"Did you think you could do me with an attack like that!
Use the momentum you have inverted your body to wield a death size. The blade never reaches the goblin because of a long sword-wielding intermission, or getting inside the death-size intermission, but Ray shakes the death-size off without worrying about it. And hitting the goblin is the patterned part. However, due to the weight of the death size exceeding 100 kg and Ray's own muscle strength, that unlucky goblin is broken, his spine is broken and blown straight horizontally into the walls of the dungeon, and the broken ribs and spine are pierced into his gut by its impact, shocked to death by its severe pain.
Ray glances sideways at Seto as he collapsed to the ground spitting blood from his mouth, but there was only a body of goblins left blown in the head, just like the first blow.
"Gru."
What do you say, Ray turns his gaze toward Elaine and the others, grinning bitterly at Seto's head, which he brags about.
It was an act of wondering if I needed any help at all, but I immediately understand that it was an unwanted favor. Either way, Elaine's escort is basically armed. Rather than…, it is built around the presence of arms in the sense of Elaine's escort, even if there are some problems with character, as in Custe. There's no way those guys will struggle with a goblin opponent.
With Ver releasing an arrow and holding the goblins in place, Ara, packed with distance as if to poke through that gap, waves down a long sword and turns the goblin into two straight pieces. Surprisingly, it would still be the Rigid Sword. Even if it's crude, it cuts off the goblins with their helmets.
Beside it was the figure of a goblin pierced by Custe's sticking demon spear with every shield, and the figure of Elaine cutting off its neck using a jointed sword to bypass the shield.
"Exactly, I guess,"
Even so, the number of enemies is over 10. They wipe it out sparingly in less than half the number as if it were nothing. That's why Elaine and the others stood out.
And then all of the goblins, who had been attacked less than a few minutes later, had scattered their lives and lay on the ground.
Use a knife from such goblins to quickly cut the right ear of the crusade proof site into the mystering and move on with Elaine and the others.
The formation is as avant-garde as it was before we encountered the Goblins, with Seto at the rear.
And those goblins didn't make it to the end.
Elaine squeaks as she moves inside the dungeon.
Goblins can be terribly belligerent to weak opponents, but they have the character to escape without a body or lid if they know they are strong. It fought Elaine and the others, knowing that they were overwhelmingly stronger than themselves, but they didn't escape to the end, and they were wiped out. Anyway, if you're led by beings like superior or rare species, I guess that's all it was surprising that goblins alone stomped to the end and fought.
"It is possible that some sort of brainwashing and consciousness-manipulation has been applied to the nucleus of the dungeon when it is called in metastasis. Somehow, we worked together to say that horn rabbits and giant bats that came out on the first floor of the basement were different kinds of monsters."
"... if you put it that way, you did. Thinking about it, should all the monsters in this dungeon be considered as if they were working together to protect the dungeon?"
Elaine nodding at Ray's words.
And I was just about to move on...
"Guys, stop!
Ver speaks so abruptly.
"Ver?"
Custe's inquiry also silently begins to go forward and examine the ground before Ray or Ara, and a few minutes later the sound of kachi echoes around him.
By then, everyone on the spot understood why Ver had stopped acting.
"Phew, it's okay now. I untied the trap. It was a trap where arrows would pop out if you stepped on the switch."
Untrapping the dungeon just seemed nervous and snorted with a grin, even though it was Ver's first experience as well.
"A trap that is set somewhat loose after defeating the goblins.... you think this is a coincidence?
"I was just wondering if that wasn't there. It's probably a trap set up by a monster living in a dungeon."
"Does Custe think so, too?... I didn't know there was such a nasty trap upstairs in the basement. Is that why we need to be more careful from here on out?"
Everyone on the spot nods at Elaine's words. Separately, the power of a goblin or an arrow flying in is not that much of a threat. But it's important that there are monsters who have the wisdom to act as a combination of the two.
"I can't be alarmed, even if it's a shallow hierarchy, as I am now. Everybody, don't be alarmed when you say that the monsters that come out aren't strong."
Nodding at the words, he goes down the aisle towards the staircase descending to the third basement floor as he looks at the map.
Luckily, he reached the stairs without any particular problems or encounters with monsters other than fighting the Goblins earlier.
But Ver's voice echoes from behind the moment Ara tries to take a step to the stairs.
"Ray, stop Ara!
At the same time as that voice, its presence was in Ray's sight, almost reflectively grabbing the neck part of Ara's armor and pulling it behind her back.
"Cah! Lord Ray, what the hell!?
Take a good look at the stairs, Ara.
It was Ver who spoke so loudly to Arla, who stared at Ray with an angry face.
Ara stares at the stairs, looking surprised at how it is. And what's in that gaze...
"Is this... yarn?
"Oh. That would also belong to a spider-based monster. Terribly thin, yet light. If you touched that thread, you wouldn't even notice that it was normal to touch it. Not to mention wearing armor like Ara and us."
"So, naturally, there's no reason why a thread like that is set up in a place like that for no reason."
Ver's words are followed by Ray whining.
"Right. Perhaps this yarn is some sort of trap activation switch.... Well, stupid. Honestly, what's hooking you up with, and disarm you?
On that question, Elaine nodded a little.
"Right. If we just don't hook up to this thread, we can cross it, but if anyone who comes later dies hooking up, he's not sleeping well. Ver, I'll take care of it."
"Copy that. I'll be done in a minute, so you can take a break and wait. At this rate, there's a lot of trouble on the third basement."
"Probably so. All right, then we'll take a break until Ver untracks us. Ray, get me a drink or some simple food. I want to keep something in my belly right now."
"Okay."
That said, things like water bottles and sandwiches are removed from the mysteries and distributed to each other.
Even if it's Custe, who hates Ray, he just doesn't confuse public or private, and carries it to the receiving end without saying anything.
... but there was nothing to be thanked for.
Then, in about 20 minutes, the trap was successfully disarmed and we were able to safely descend to the third basement.
