"Pizza, is it? It's a culinary name I've never heard of."

To the word pizza out of Ray's mouth, Rodrigo and Sandrine tilt their necks wonderfully.

They were not very alike, but the trick was felt somewhere similar, only as parents and children.

"Oh, pizza.... It's just not that this dish is as rare as meat. Baking usually means baking bread in the same way."

Steaming the bread dough was probably totally unexpected for Rodrigo, who also does the dining room.

By comparison, however, pizza is not a very rare method of cooking.

However, what was not uncommon was only the cooking method of baking, the appearance of which was undoubtedly considerably more characteristic than the bread around it.

(Plus, it won't take longer than baking bread)

On the TV show I saw when Ray was in Japan, he had put dough inside a pizza kiln and then finished baking there for a minute or so.

I guess that's all the temperature in the kiln has to be high, but I'm sure it will still be good for the dining room even if cooking is done in one minute in the sense that it won't keep the guests waiting.

... Most importantly, all Ray thought about was baking time, and that's what I didn't think about the bottom preparation such as stretching the dough and putting all sorts of utensils on it.

"Are you going to tell me that, too?

"I'm going to.... I just said this one now, but this one's not as unexpected a dish as meat. That's the dish you can cook as soon as you change your mind a little bit."

There are probably various ways to make and define a formal pizza, but Ray naturally doesn't know that.

Maybe that's why Ray teaches it's not official pizza, it's what we should call pizza-style bread, but still, it would be more than just an official pizza in this world without a dish called pizza.

"Ha, I'd love to know if you could still tell me... okay? I think flesh is enough."

"Oh. Pizza's got my situation."

"Mr. Ray's?

"It's easy to make, so think you can make it right away by using a kiln of magic items in the camp. I just don't know how to make that fabric or anything, so I want you to do it."

"... I see"

The words out of Ray's mouth were also convincing to Rodrigo.

I know Ray has ideas about cooking...... or knowledge by the book, but I guess he still can't cook new dishes just with Ray than not being a cook.

Good for you, role sharing, bad for you, you keep throwing at them.

But if you can remember a dish you don't know about without that throw, you could have said that for Rodrigo, it's where Ning Luo wants it.

Maybe we can finally get more menus to serve in the store? I suppose it was natural for me to be the one running the cafeteria.

"So, what kind of dish is pizza?

Rodrigo turns to Ray to reveal his curiosity about the unknown dishes, which is different from what he usually looks like.

For a moment... just for a moment, but Ray was feeling something barometric when he saw Rodrigo now.

"Ooh. Right.... Simply put, all you have to do is top it all up on a thin circular dough and cook it in a kiln. It's characteristic of being able to change flavors with ingredients, like meatballs. And I cook it directly in the kiln, so it cooks in about a minute after I put it in the kiln."

"One minute!?

To the words out of Ray's mouth, not just Rodrigo, but even Sandrine leaks a voice of consternation.

But I guess that's natural, too. The food that can be served to guests in a minute as the dining room side is very appreciated.

"Hey, hey, Mr. Ray. Why didn't you tell me this from the beginning!? It's definitely better this way than the meat!

I lift my eyes and approach Ray so much that I don't think he's a sandrine with a pleasant grin.

... If I had seen this sight of a customer who had stayed in the store until the end earlier, I would have turned my jealous gaze to Ray.

But luckily for Ray, only three people on this scene were Ray, Rodrigo and Sandrine.

"Relax. It's not like I was mean and didn't teach you pizza. As I said earlier, pizza is usually a very different cooking method than baking bread. Compared to steaming bread dough, there are really few surprises for customers."

"It's... well"

Sandrine is also one of those who was surprised by the act of steaming and making bread.

I can also understand what Ray is trying to say. I can understand... but still, I couldn't help but want you to teach me a dish called pizza if I could.

Ray continues to persuade me so that I can forgive Sandrine like that.

"Just bake the pizza with the utensils on the thin circular dough, as I explained earlier. Honestly, if you're making regular bread, it's no wonder you're making similar bread."

Most importantly, pizza dough is quite different from regular bread, so even if the bakery thinks a little about it and makes it, as Ray says, it's not the pizza that can do it, but the pizza... or the pizza toast.

In particular, pizza fabrics are roughly divided into hard and soft types.

I like both Rays, but if you want to get them out as a menu as soon as possible, the soft type...... it was obvious that the shape closer to the existing bread fabric was quicker.

(We need to give Rodrigo more profit than we need him to research pizza fabrics.)

To be honest, it didn't have to be Rodrigo to ask Ray to do a pizza study.

You could take the story to the full pavilion, or you could go directly to the bakery from the problem of a dining room or kiln that you've stopped in a few times before.

Still, it would still have Rodrigo's character to bring the story to this store.

Normally, if you ask me to research pizza dough because I want to eat it, I get angry.

But in Rodrigo's case, he has a weak personality... but most importantly, he has a strong curiosity about cooking, and he wouldn't be mad at me for making a favor like Ray did this time.

"... I see. How to make it. It's easy."

"The same goes for meat, but the easier it looks, the harder it can be to care. First of all, you're on pizza fabric, just like meat. The pizza fabric is hard and soft, and the soft one is close to regular bread, so I think we should make it from here."

"What kind of fabric is a hard fabric?

"That's a crisp toothed fabric. Because of the texture, I think the fullness of the soft fabric is higher. Of course, if you're hard, it doesn't mean you can't eat as much as you want."

With such an explanation of Ray, Rodrigo probably got a general image.

Convinced, the biggest problem with pizza next... moves on to talking about utensils.

"The equipment... just like the flesh, that's all there is to it"

Past Ray's brain was a delivery pizza flyer I saw in Japan.

That was the picture of so many different kinds of pizzas, all of which seemed very tasty.

... Although it is not very expensive for a high school student's allowance but it was not easy to buy.

"Like a meat filling with meat, is there anything basic about it?

"Hmmm...... basic"

Ray thinks to Rodrigo's words, which he asks without concealing his interest.

(Seafood or meat system with wieners or something? Or some simple guy with just herbs and cheese, right?

Not sure what to answer, eventually I don't know which one to say is basic, Ray explains in a way like that for now.

"I don't know which one is basic, but some guy used three in the wind like seafood, meat and vegetables. There's a lot more to it than these three, of course."

"Hmm, it's a little harder to use seafood than making it out of guilds"

"I guess."

Sounds unfortunate...... that's what Rodrigo says from the bottom of his heart that Ray agrees with.

Seafood is a river fish in the Guild.

Of course, sea fish came in, but most of them were able to dry and store for a long period of time.

Unless you have mistering like Ray... or a degraded item box like Elaine has, but if you think of that as a magic item too, it's very scarce and expensive.

That is why, if we were to use such magic items for commerce, we would be able to use as many as we want besides raw fish.

"And if vegetables...... also means it's in the main anyway if you're a sidekick, it could be a little harsh"

Again, it was convincing.

It's winter now, and there are never many vegetables out there.

"Right. It's just that if it's a pizza that I know, some herbs are the easiest thing to do."

"Herbs, is it? Then...... hmm"

It was a troubled Rodrigo, but I would say that the vegetable matter is easier than the seafood if it is solved in the spring.

"Oh, and cheese. Basically, pizza's gonna need a ton of cheese, but are you okay over there?

"Huh? Oh, yes. No problem when it comes to cheese. Because there are people who do livestock, whether it's in the guilds or not, and most importantly, there are a lot of cheeses because they're good at preserving them."

Rodrigo had a difficult look on things like seafood and vegetables, but if you hear cheese, exhale and nod in relief.

"Right. I'm telling you now, some pizzas are just herbs and cheese... and tomatoes."

"Is it tomatoes? That sounds a little difficult."

With that said, I think I'm talking to Rodrigo.

Vegetables I have seen since Ray came to Elgin...... no, not just vegetables, but I recall that various names have the same thing that was used in Japan.

The same goes for tomatoes nowadays, but perhaps the area is a feat left by those who come from Japan as well as Ray, as Takum and... wrote a book that was in the library.

Anyway, it was very helpful as Ray because he said tomatoes and made sense.

If tomatoes are not named tomatoes, they need to be described as fruitful, sour red vegetables in the summer.

Not to mention the question of whether that really makes sense.

Most of all, the worst was if Elgin didn't have tomatoes.

Or if you have tomatoes but they are not considered edible.

(I've seen that tomatoes were first used for viewing on TV or something. Is it better if it just wasn't?... just)

Yeah, just.

Seeing Rodrigo look hard on Ray's words, and Ray and his parents were sometimes farmers, I realize the biggest problem.

If you are in Japan, you can eat fresh tomatoes even in winter with house cultivation.

Or, that's what was preserved by storage methods such as canning and bottling, and I don't have trouble with tomatoes all year round.

But this is Elgin.

Preserved foods can also be managed to some extent by magic items and magic, but that naturally costs a lot.

Even less, it wasn't the kind of amount that could be managed in Rodrigo.

"Uh... all that matters in pizza is basically dough, cheese and tomatoes"

If you can't get that important tomato, you can't make a pizza... Nothing, but I'm sure it's going to be a lot harder.

(No, do you?

Having thought about it so much, Ray remembers the pizza he ate when he was in Japan - but not the pizza at the specialty store, but the stuff he bought at the supermarket.

Were raw tomatoes used in the pizza?

The answer is no.

Even less, there was no pizza like Ray's eaten pizza topped with raw tomatoes.

Of course it's a real pizza or a specialty store...... it's not like a delivery pizza either, and if it's a store pizza like baking it in a kiln and serving it in the store, it's not strange whether you're using raw tomatoes in the winter or not.

But fortunately, or unfortunately, Ray has never had such a pizza.

"Don't you know tomato sauce...

"Tomato sauce? I know that, of course. We have a few things to use for cooking."

Maybe, in case you can...... that was Ray's word I asked with that in mind, but I heard there was some tomato sauce I could use for various dishes, exhaling relief.

"Good. Then you can make pizza."

"Uh... Mr. Ray, wait a minute"

It was Sandrine who hung up on Ray's words.

"We have tomato sauce, but that also means ingredients used for other dishes, so was that pizza? You can't use a lot of it over there, can you?

Such a voice of despair echoed in the dining room.
