Peep, and. I heard that sound about an hour after I started checking the inside of the study.
Aside from what Ray has found, we can find quite a few pieces of evidence of evil, which shows how much the master of this mansion was dyeing his hands in crime.
If it doesn't matter about the underground space, it will undoubtedly be punished.
I heard that noise where I had such thoughts.
And the guards react quickly when they hear that sound.
"Ray, it's an emergency. The sound of this whistle is an urgent signal to gather immediately."
"Oh, if you say so"
Ray nods at the words of the guard, thinking that's the sound he heard yesterday in the mansion he searched, too.
"Okay. So what the hell am I supposed to do?
"I go to the guy who sounded the whistle. Ray, come with me."
Originally, it's not strange to act late because you have to hold on to the kind of evidence you find in this study.
But in Ray's case, there's more to it than mystering, and if you keep the paperwork of evidence in it, the kind of luggage won't get in the way at all, and the guards and Ray, who were in the study, immediately pop out of the room.
Run straight towards the whistling noise.
I also saw the sight of the mansion's servants and thinkers confused by the sound of a sudden whistle along the way, but the guards still run in the direction of the whistle sounds they hear regularly.
Naturally, those who were forcibly investigating this mansion would run towards those who heard the whistle, just like the Rays... and join the Rays.
"You know what happened?
"No."
The guards who exchange words briefly.
While running, I don't do anything more futile than exchange words and run straight through the mansion...... eventually, I arrive in front of a guard with a whistle.
"What happened?"
"I found a hidden staircase that leads to the underground space, said it was in the mansion next door yesterday"
It was a short word, but I fully understood what it meant to sound like a whistle.
Some of them have not come here yet, but they will be convinced as soon as they hear the current explanation.
"Where?
"It's in this room. There was a setup on the bookshelf, and when I moved it, there was a hidden staircase."
Enter the room as you hear the security guard explain.
Inside the room is an open side of the wall, where there is a staircase leading to the basement.
The stairs were familiar to Ray as well.
It's not exactly the same staircase Ray saw yesterday, but it still seems like the same staircase, because I think it leads to the underground space where the pink tentacles exist.
"This isn't a study, is it?"
Out of sight from the stairs, Ray shrugs as he looks around.
As I said there was a setup on the bookshelf, there are several bookshelves in this room.
It's a little small to call a library...... but still definitely a room for reading books.
"So, what are we gonna do? You know, saying it's all connected to the underground space means you tried going down these stairs, right?
When one of the guards asks, the man who was whistling nods.
"Oh. At the end of this staircase, there is a vast underground space that was definitely in the report. I just didn't have tentacles, and I didn't have a space tear."
"Was there a body?
Ray, who was listening to the guards, inadvertently asks.
From what Ray saw yesterday, there should have been several bodies left in the underground space that were left only bone and skin by tentacles.
And the corpses of the men of red cloth, and of those who brought them.
But the guard asked shook his head to the side.
"No, there was nothing like a corpse.... Probably recovered it"
If it was meant to be, I guess Ray should have recovered the body.
But given Pink's tentacle abilities, evacuation was definitely the best option then.
If you were fighting like that, if you did poorly, the number of tentacles would have increased one after the other, and it's also likely that you were out of control.
(Though I think I can almost certainly say it's not a possibility)
On the other side of the space rift there were signs of massive presence of tentacles that Ray fought.
Given that, Ray has the certainty that the decision to spare no time to evacuate the underground space, such as storing the body in mystering on that spot, was not wrong.
"Right. If I could have left the body, I guess I could have tied it together as one of the pieces of evidence in this case.... What do you think?
The last thing Ray asked was Vihera, who was walking into the room trying to surprise Ray or erase the signs.
Others were wary of whether there were any other clues in this room or, in some cases, the possibility of tentacles coming out of the underground space.
Nevertheless, I didn't realize that Vihera had entered the room.
It would be more impossible to be surprised by that.
"Right. But there was a similar body in the mansion next door that Ray went to yesterday, right? Then it's more likely they'll say it's related to you.... but if Ray had what he calls a tentacle wreck, he could do anything."
"No, that's just you wanting to fight the tentacles. Besides, I don't know if the expression tentacle corpse... is correct, but it turns to dust and disappears. How do we take the remains of the tentacles?
"I trust Ray will do something about it."
"... I'll take care of that there. So, how'd it go? Were there strong enemies over there that would please Vihella?
"No. You didn't come by like that. There were a few soldiers, but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped.... Maybe you went to Ray's, didn't you?
The gaze of suspicion is directed at Ray.
Normally, it's not strange that Vihera would take my eyes off me like that, but Ray, who is acting with me, was naturally also used to the beauty of Vihera, and immediately shook his neck to the side.
"No, luckily for Vihera, you never came this way. The only soldiers who came to me were the same soldiers who went to Vihera. … although he was quite a bone soldier"
Could it have been attacked like that yesterday because yesterday's mansion served as a place to keep the body? And, I was a little thinking Ray, but I wouldn't do anything to put that in my mouth in front of Vihera.
If you talk about it, Vihera said it was yesterday's mansion... because it wasn't weird going to the mansion next door.
(No, once you think you're here on request, wouldn't you imitate that?... I hope not)
Only Vihera could tell exactly what the hell she was going to do.
Usually, you can expect a lot of things, but when it comes to fighting things, it is also likely that the prediction will go away.
The guards who were in action with Vihela arrived here a little late, making sure to peek inside through the door.
I don't know if I'm going to be honest with you about putting an escort target... well, as Vihella was saying, there's likely to be no raiders like yesterday's mansion in this mansion.
I think so, thinking about what we should do now...
"Ko, Ko, Ko, what the hell is this!? Who built that staircase!
Such a voice sounds inadvertently in the room.
When the faces that were in the room, including me, turned their gaze to those who spoke, the look of a man screaming with a stunned look just beside the door of the room.
From the current dialogue, it will not be necessary to even think about who that screamed person is.
This is the man who owns this mansion.
I just thought he was acting frustrated and frustrated outside, but I didn't think this was how he'd come directly into the mansion.
"Tell me, did you force this place to be built in secret?"
Hmm? And most of the guards and escort adventurers who hear the words question.
That was the same with Ray again.
From what I've heard, it was like the man who owns this mansion doesn't know that there were hidden stairs here.
For a moment, you're trying to delude me because they found a hidden staircase? I didn't think so, but the man from Ray's point of view who is still screaming frustratingly doesn't seem to be doing that though very much.
Seriously, it seemed confusing.
Of course there is no denying the possibility that it is an act.
But from what Ray saw, I didn't think a man could do such an imitation, and above all, the action was truly imminent.
(When that happens, did you really not know about this hidden staircase? I didn't even think about that possibility)
Though the owner of the mansion, he is not necessarily familiar with all of the mansions that are large enough for this mansion.
Beyond that, it probably wasn't possible to build a hidden staircase so that the owner of the mansion wouldn't know.
Naturally, it takes a lot of effort to do such an act, and even if the owner of the mansion doesn't find it, it's likely to be found by people like maids and butlers.
In that, how much effort will it take to create such a hidden staircase without finding it?
There was no doubt that it would require uninterrupted effort.
But from what Ray saw, the way the master of this mansion is surprised isn't very much, but it doesn't look like an act.
Actually, it's also possible that I'm good at acting, but if I think about it that much, I have to doubt more.
"What are you surprised about? This is your mansion, so you knew there were enough hidden stairs here, didn't you?
Ray told me that with the intention of sickling, but the owner of the mansion shrugged in such a way that he didn't know what he was being told for a moment, and a few seconds later he shook his head in a panic.
"No! I had no idea there was such a trick in my house! Who! Who made such a hidden staircase, in secret to me, the Lord of the Mansion!
Even the guards, not just Ray, had the look of doubt in their eyes at the way they screamed.
After all, I guess I'm not very much but I don't look like I'm acting or lying.
(then…)
Ray turned his gaze to such people as maids and deacons around the master of the mansion, and other than that, soldiers and servants of the escort, but they all have a bewildered look on their faces.
As far as Ray can tell, none of those around the master of the mansion were involved in one of the hidden staircases.
Of course, I'm not sure because it's not like there's anybody acting like Ray wouldn't know.
"This time we embarked on a mandatory investigation involving this underground staircase.... Do you know what's at the end of this basement staircase?
Yes, he was a guard asking the owner of the mansion, but he didn't know there was a hidden staircase, so naturally he doesn't know what lies ahead.
The guard continues to explain to the master of the mansion, who swings his neck sideways, with a harsh look on his face.
"This staircase leads to a space that is vastly spread underground. You can take it for granted you didn't even know there was a huge space in the basement of this mansion, right?
"Ah, oh. I don't know. I've never heard anything like it."
To the words of the guard, the master of the mansion who answers immediately.
I suppose you have the thought of being forced to investigate for this and to be guilty of some sort of crime.
Most importantly, even if you don't know one thing about this hidden staircase, there's a lot more to it... and that's just enough evidence to catch it.
He doesn't know about it yet, unfortunately, and if he manages to mislead this place, he'll figure it out, I guess so.
"Really? As a matter of fact, there are suspicions that the space in the basement of this mansion is connected to other mansions around here by stairs like this."
"What!?
With another shock, the owner of the mansion can only give a stark look.
Naturally.
If this was just connected to the space that it was underground, I wouldn't have thought of anything, but I was still convinced.
However, when the underground space is connected to other mansions, it is well beyond acceptable limits.
That's why, in some cases, someone with no idea might break into this mansion on their own.
That was not very, but acceptable.
"Who... the hell did you imitate that on your own! Whose permission..."
"Oops."
He was the master of the mansion, who dyed his face bright red with anger and shouted, but Vihera moves unexpectedly.
He played the dagger released at the head of the mansion with his hand.
