Legend

1996 Story

From the battle against the giant eyeballs, for a few weeks...... after the coldest of winters, the cold gradually looses, naturally, and the time flows towards spring.

Most importantly, even though the cold gradually loosens, it is still cold during the day, and it is not uncommon for it to snow.

Still, the sun came out more often than not in cloudy weather, and it was no longer uncommon that the snow that had fallen the night before would dissolve.

If the weather is cold enough to freeze during the day, it will still affect the dismantling of Giganto Turtle, naturally, when it gets much warmer, albeit snowy.

No, you're right that it doesn't exactly affect the demolition work, it purely affects Giganto Turtle's body.

There is usually no such thing as rotting because it is in the mysteries where the flow of time is stopped, but when I am working on demolition, I will naturally remove it from the mysteries.

I mean, there's usually time in between.

When that happens, when it gets warmer, even slightly, they start to rot together as time passes.

Originally, given the circumstances around it, Ray also decided that the dismantling of Giganto Turtle would be a winter job.

"For that reason, the dismantling of Giganto Turtle ended today. Thank you all for participating in the dismantling."

An Alliance official who was partitioning the demolition bows his head toward the adventurers who until today were participating in the demolition of Giganto Turtle, as well as those who otherwise possess the skills to demolish and the residents of Slam Street.

Sometimes Giganto Turtle's reward for dismantling basically means he's out of the guild, or this request is a huge one for the guild as well.

That's what I'm even going to use as a routine winter request while I'm working on the Gilm addition.

That's why it would still be fresh... that's why I decided to end the dismantling of Giganto Turtle today, even though there was also a relationship of Giganto Turtle's magic or even though it had been dismantled for quite a few days, it remained fresh with no effect whatsoever.

I know it's still fresh, but to keep it fresh a little longer.

The faces who were participating in the demolition also had some dissatisfaction that the demolition of Giganto Turtle would end today, but they honestly followed the words of the Alliance officials as to whether the satisfaction was stronger than that.

... naturally. I get Giganto Turtle meat like every day and keep eating meat that should be called superb... or because I sold it and got the right amount.

The real dissatisfaction is that you can't eat Giganto Turtle meat until the next winter?

"From now on, we still have a little time before spring. In the meantime, it would be helpful if you could do the dismantling of Giganto Turtle as you do every day to heal your tired body and concentrate on it after the additions resume. We shall now be dissolved at this. I'll pay you as usual for the reward, so please ask the clerk."

To the words of the Alliance staff, those who were gathered cheered and turned to the clerks who were handing out the rewards.

While watching such a sight, Ray speaks to the guild officials who have partitioned this demolition.

"Good day."

"No, no. Originally, the dismantling of Giganto Turtle was an agreement to have a reward in the Alliance. Besides, it means a lot to the Alliance that you've partitioned such a huge request."

When Alliance officials tell Ray that, they give him a full grin... that's the grin from the bottom of his heart.

That seemed like a testament to Ray that words now were never flattery or anything.

Most importantly, from Ray's point of view, the Alliance employee looks like a very good person, so I don't know what he's actually thinking at the bottom of his mind.

"If you say so, it'll help even this way. As I was saying to the guys who were coming to dismantle earlier, the next winter...... please say hello when we start dismantling Giganto Turtle again"

"Yeah, of course. … but I don't know if I'll be partitioning at the next demolition."

"Uh... is that what this is all about?

"Yeah, I partitioned this time with some free hands, but it's also possible that I'll be busy at work next year."

Ray knows he was an Alliance employee who told him that, but actually, as an Alliance, he was very busy this winter.

When I put my face on the guild, it was because face-to-face people like Kenny and Lenora told me what was going on around there.

Most importantly, the reason for the busyness was because of one of the Cobolts that came out of the Guild, and after the Rays knocked down their eyeballs a few weeks ago, there was nothing like a Cobolt or any other monster jumping in over Ray's built dirt wall.

Nevertheless, as every morning many monsters come to the place where they do the dismantling of Giganto Turtle in search of smells of blood and fragments of meat...... things like that could not be stopped though.

What was unfortunate about Ray was that there were no unknown monsters in it?

And the pleasure would have been having the look of an oak, though a few times.

Basically, the meat of a monster is a high-ranking monster, and it tastes better.

However, even though the oak is a Rank D monster, its flavour is comparable to that of Rank C and, in some cases, Rank B.

The breeding power is also high, but the fact that there are women of various races, such as humans, elves and beasts, in the opponents used for their breeding makes the breeding a monster that has never been thought of.

There are circumstances like that, but it is definitely a delicious monster in the literal sense if you try it on Ray.

It was also true that Seto, in particular, should have as much delicious meat as possible, beyond being quite a big meal.

"Next year. I wonder how far the construction of the guilds is going next year. We talked about building research and manufacturing facilities for groundships."

"Right. Years for now...... no, I guess I'll be busy for nearly a decade"

"Ten years, huh?... I don't know what the hell was going on with Gilm back then. I'd love to see that."

"If Lord Ray has the strength, I'm sure he'll survive until ten years from now."

With an objective eye, Ray's strength is very high.

You can also say that the strength of a party called Red Lotus Wings is extraordinary, beyond the facades of Ray's submissive Seto, Marina, and Vihera.

So, as an Alliance employee, it wasn't hard to imagine the Rays working well in the Guild, even after ten years.

"Right. I think so too."

Ray also thinks it's smudging that I wish I were still based in this guild ten years from now.

That's all, a place called Gilm had become a memorable place for Ray.

"Even as a guild, the more adventurers with aliases, the better. Especially since this is more than a border, there are a lot of monsters that are really troublesome."

Alliance officials say it's smudging.

In fact, in places other than the periphery and periphery, the type and number of monsters that inhabit… that is, the degree of safety of living on the spot is very different.

Nevertheless, the periphery is only a story decided by humans, and when it comes to the appearance of powerful monsters elsewhere than the periphery, that is a completely different story.

Because for monsters, borders are completely irrelevant stories.

"I know how the Alliance feels."

That said, Ray turns his gaze to the adventurers… the adventurers who are being rewarded for the last dismantling of this winter - some others, though.

"I hope some adventurers with aliases show up among them."

"Right. I'm glad you did, too."

It wasn't the guild officials who gave that back to Ray's words… it was Vihera.

It was unnecessary and obvious to Ray why Vihella was here.

Some of the rewarded adventurers look like Bühne.

It's not such a rare story to have Vihera on this occasion as an escort to such a Büne.

... Although, as a vihela, I would have preferred to fight monsters who had gathered in the morning on pieces of Giganto Turtle flesh and the smell of blood left behind, more than a Bühne escort.

Nevertheless, what kind of monsters are gathering is basically random.

If there are more powerful monsters than that, some monsters should be called miscellaneous fish.

And in the last few weeks, there hasn't been anything like a powerful monster that Vihella hopes will show up.

(Or the effect of that eyeball?

Even though I think so, I come to the conclusion that the idea is not necessarily off the hook.

Those giant eyeballs we fought a few weeks ago were the ones that were pretty powerful opponents.

Apart from Ray, there were fellows like Elaine, Marina, Vihera and Seto, so we could take them down without being so dangerous, but that was only because we had all of them.

Beyond that, such a powerful presence emerged, and disappeared - in fact, it was killed - but not many powerful monsters could have liked to do it around the Guild.

Because if you are a powerful monster, many people naturally possess high intelligence and sharp inquiries.

... but some monsters, like the goblins, are not smart enough to work.

"I'll tell you what, if an adventurer with an alias showed up, it wouldn't be like trying to fight or anything right away"

"Oh, excuse me. You think I'm gonna imitate that?

It was Vihera who would say that in a clear way, but Ray spits out the words with his sigh.

"It's Vihera, which is why I think I'm going to imitate it. Considering what you've accomplished so far, you're not very comfortable. See?"

That's what Ray says. He asks the Alliance officials to agree, but as someone who is asked to consent, he gets in trouble.

If you nod here, no doubt because when you get a bad impression of Vihera, you think so.

In fact, that's never wrong.

Given Vihera's character, there won't be anything like dragging that one off until later, but it would be natural for him as an Alliance official to still want to remember Vihera better.

It's the aliases that we don't have yet, but there's no shortage of ability for Vihera to have aliases at all.

"Look, Ray. I don't really get involved with Alliance staff.... than that, what are we going to do? Finished early today, and I'm going to eat baked udon again? He said he wanted to eat a beaune."

The baked udon in this case is not the baked udon sold in the stalls around it...... but the baked udon made by the stall owner who called it to the marina's house the day he knocked down the giant eyeballs.

Its baked udon that only bakes noodles, lightly scorches them, steams them with liquor, seasons only the noodles, not the ingredients, and then intertwines with meat and vegetables, not only beaune...... but rays liked the baked udon as well.

The grilled udon itself that can be done is not so different from the regular grilled udon.

But if you take a bite, its taste is obviously different from regular baked udon, and you can say that one step, or two, tastes like top.

If you like to eat delicious food and see many times you stop by that baked udon stall just because Ray is delighted as a guest from the stalls and cafeterias, many people are interested.

... In fact, Ray was thriving enough to queue up before he stopped at that stall.

All in all, I didn't know Ray would like it that much... Ray had heard rumors that some stall owners, especially those dealing with baked udon, also ate baked udon from that store and volunteered to be apprentices for so much delicacy.

Ray liked to eat such baked udon again.

"Right. Then why don't we stop by that stall?"

With that said, in fact, some of Ray's mysteries still have a large quantity of baked udon that he made when he came to the marina's house every stall at a previous launch.

Giganto Turtle meat and its roasted udon, made from a variety of other ingredients, are naturally a freshly made substitute for more than they contain in mystering.

If you put that out, that's when you can always have grilled udon... because of the ingredients, you can eat better grilled udon than they currently sell on the street, but I guess it's not strange that you still want to eat grilled udon on the street in this case.

For that reason, Ray took Vihera and Büne, and Seto, who was sleeping and playing on the snow, to a stall selling baked udon.
