Legend

2,300 words.

Eventually, the newly arrived Centaurs were to rendezvous with the scouts.

Isn't there a problem just with someone you've barely been in contact with before? And Ray worried, but there were times when we were centaurs and, above all, the newcomers were personably superior, and there were no particular problems that seemed to arise.

… but that is only a conversation with those who currently remain in the camp.

When those who are currently on reconnaissance return, it would be subtle to be honest if they were asked if there would be a problem dealing with them.

There are several bloodthirsty and suspicious people, so it was almost certain that there would be disturbances in the contents that the newly arrived Centaur did not care or could not be trusted.

If there were a disturbance, it would undoubtedly be suppressed by Vihela, though.

Or, if you can afford just to cause disturbances, will you be caught in a mock fight that you will also be able to train?

Ray didn't even know exactly what would happen around there...... training with Vihera is pretty tough for the Centaurs.

Though it may be more than just training in anticipation of the battle against Dragonias.

"Whatever it is, it's still peaceful."

Ray shrugs as he watches the fantastic sight of a sunset in the meadows.

"Gru?"

Next to Ray like that, what's wrong with Seto? and honking his throat.

Seto looks pretty good today because he was able to relax with Ray all the time.

Ray watches the sunset as he strokes Seto's head...

"What's up?

From behind...... I feel signs of approaching from those in the settlement, and so I call out.

If you get a voice, line up next to Ray without looking particularly surprised.

I guess that's what Ray thought, naturally, because he wasn't hiding the signs.

"Oh, if I don't have something to do, shouldn't I come and see Ray?

A slightly pranky voice would be a testament to being as upbeat as Seto is.

I've been training all day except for a meal and a break.

Vihera and the Centaurs give up in the middle of training...... I wanted it to be over today and I was wondering if that's what they were going to say, but in fact nobody had anything to say about that and I kept training until the end.

This, of course, meant that the Centaurs wanted to stay a little stronger in anticipation of the battle against Dragonias, but other than that, pride could not get in the way and gibber up if he could not imitate that others had not yet given up but only himself.

"Looks like you've been satisfied enough."

"Right. I don't know how it compares to Dragonias... but still, I'm pretty sure it was quite a full time.... Ray took his time today, didn't he?

"Oh. For God's sake, it wasn't a bad day. I hope these days go on forever."

That was Ray whining, but Ray himself knows best that that's not possible.

In the first place, the purpose of this case is to find the home of Dragonias.

Beyond that, it shouldn't have been that long to have such a peaceful time.

(No, Ning Lo. In the sense of finding the home of Dragonias as soon as possible, should I pray that this peaceful time is over as soon as possible?...... I don't really feel like it though)

To be honest, Ray has no interest in fighting Dragonias.

But it's Ray's honest feelings that he wants to do something about it before those two become more dangerous than Anastasia and Fana are getting lost in this world... than he encounters Dragonias.

(The new Centaurs didn't even know about Anastasia and Fana after all)

Naturally, Ray still hasn't given up looking for Anastasia and Fana.

He also asks many of the other settlers who have joined this reconnaissance team, as if they had never seen Anastasia and Fana.

I also asked the Centaurs who joined us today, but unfortunately they didn't have any information either.

As a result, all Ray could do was reduce the number of Dragonias to reduce as much as possible the likelihood of Anastasia and Fana being in danger… If possible, slap home and wipe them out.

"Really? Sometimes it's good, but I think if these days go on, I'll get tired of them one day. Maybe that's what Ray looks like, too, huh?

It was Ray who tried to say something back to Vihera's words, but I could somehow have expected that if days like today actually went on, I would probably feel bored.

As a result, Ray didn't say anything more because he realized it too.

"With that said... you haven't been to the ocean yet this year"

Ray shrugs as he sees the grasslands lit up by the sunset and dyed red.

We all went to the ocean last year and played with our thoughts.... although it actually meant getting fish was stronger.

But it was only summer this year, but I haven't been to the ocean yet.

"Right. There's also a seto cage... when this one's cleared up, go to the ocean?

"There's quite a bit of seafood left, but that might be nice in the sense of playing"

In Elgin, the sea is a fairly advantageous area for monsters.

So, no one does anything like swimming in the ocean if they're going to fish... not really, but they're a pretty small minority.

And Ray and Vihera belong to that minority.

Both of them...... and because they have as much strength as they can to deal with even monsters in the ocean, including the ones they leave to Elgin.

Also, according to stories Ray has previously heard from Elaine, some aristocrats are like putting a net in the sea and enjoying a seawater bath by keeping monsters of a certain size or larger from entering that net.

"Then you have a promise.... then I need to clear this up as soon as I can... and that's hard to do."

Ha, and while watching the meadows stained in the sunset, Vihera exhales with regret.

Most importantly, Dragonias, who never gives up, is the one you should want, even if it means fighting the enemy if you try to make it a vihela.

In that sense, the battle in this world is never all bad... but it's also definitely a fact that playing at sea with Ray and fighting Dragonias together doesn't make it any worse.

"Anyway, whatever you do to get to the ocean, I'm pretty sure you're gonna have to get rid of one of the things in this world somehow.... Where do you think the Anastasias are?

"Even so, since the Anastasias came to this world, Ray came to this world soon, didn't he? But honestly, it's weird that we didn't see each other, right?

Vihera's words are never a mistake.

It shouldn't have been that long since Elgin and this world were connected until Ray came to this world.

On top of that, the place that went out into this world was a meadow that stretched everywhere around it.

For example, no matter where the Anastasias are moving, it's not strange to be able to find them in the meadows.

Even so, I have some doubts about the inability to find the Anastasias.

… it is possible that during the time that Grimm fixed the hole connected to this world, he was connected elsewhere, and besides, he could have traveled at high speeds using Anastasian spiritual magic.

Thinking about the neighborhood, it's definitely going to be a lot harder.

"Whatever we can do right now would be to destroy Dragonias' home base and make it a little less dangerous for Anastasia and Fana.... Whether you're in this meadow or not, anyway."

If you're not in the meadows, it can be quite a hassle for Ray as well.

I didn't actually look into it, but this meadow has a considerable size, which is evident from seeing that the horizon only extends over the meadow, even if it goes up to an altitude of 100m aboard Ceto.

Just saying you might be somewhere in this meadow, it's very hard to find.

Even so, if Anastasia and the others were outside this meadow... you wouldn't even have to think about how hard the hell it is to find them.

"Nevertheless, the scouts didn't come back today after all."

Ray gives a look like he doesn't know what it means for a moment in words that inadvertently come out of Vihera's mouth.

Because those heading for reconnaissance are supposed to go on for two days first, and then come back.

More than that, it should be back in four days...

"Why today? You'll be back in four days, won't you? Well, if you find a Dragonias stronghold or home base in your reconnaissance, it's not a story."

"Ray, I forgot another one. … when the scouts encountered a number of Dragonias they could not deal with on their own"

"Yeah, I see. You've been thinking about it."

Ray finds out what Vihera was thinking and answers that with half a shudder.

In other words, Vihera was hoping that the scouts she encountered with Dragonias would return to this camp.

That way, I can fight Dragonias.

It's not like Vihera hasn't been worried about the scouts at all, though.

Centaur runs faster when compared to Dragonias.

I mean, if you run into Dragonias, it's fine.... unless there is a special individual with faster legs than Centaur.

And Dragonias tries to eat and kill by starvation if he finds his prey, so he basically follows him everywhere.

In other words, if Centaur encountered Dragonias, it would have been possible to pull him to this camp if he had been better.

Then, naturally, we must fight with those who are here.

There is still some fighting power in the camp because that's also why it's to deal with it in the first place.

"If that happens, we'll be late for reconnaissance, so I hope that doesn't happen."

"Oh, yeah?... Too bad."

I really tell you from the bottom of my heart that I feel sorry for you, Vihella.

Ray's appetite is stimulated by the smell he's been drifting, thinking he's the same as ever about how Vihera looks.

One of the excellent things about this reconnaissance team would be that they can eat their own dishes because of the variety of settlements gathered together.

Of course, the arms fall off compared to those who come to cook, but there are still many interesting substitutes for Ray that are similar dishes, but subtly flavored and contain different ingredients.

"This camp must be a hit to be able to eat dishes made by good cooks."

"Right. Some of the faces I went to the scout team would be good at cooking... but still, you wouldn't actually be able to cook that good."

I'm on reconnaissance.

In Ray's case, there is mystering, so he can carry a ton of ingredients.

... No, I'm carrying the dish.

But the scouts usually need to carry more food than they don't have such handy magic items.

Still, Centaur alone can carry more than a normal adventurer because he has more physical abilities than a normal human being.

However, it is strictly forbidden to smell any more appetite-stimulating to the surrounding area than it is during reconnaissance.

Even though, it's the hunger-dominated dragonias we're looking for.

In other words, the only thing you can eat during reconnaissance... is being eaten effortlessly and the smell doesn't spread all around you... so to speak, it becomes a kind of preserved food.

Like dried meat and hard-baked bread.

(Yeah, I knew you were right to stay over here)

Thinking smudged, Ray turns to those who are cooking among the camp with Vihella.

Today there were people who had joined us additionally, so we had to cook for them, but the people who joined us also focused on some - preserved food - but since we bring food, there is no shortage of food.

If Ray asks me if I have enough to eat a full tummy, it's not enough at all.

Eventually, the sound of a meal was echoed around... and the centaurs left in the camp gathered one after the other.
