I kept running on Ceto and when an hour or so passed...... finally a place with charcoal on the ground marked the end.

That would mean that Ray's magic only worked so far.

(Purely, has the magic that activated the magic been cut off by the fact that the flames have reached this point, or has the Queen of Dragonias struck some hand?... If you just hit your hand, that's more than likely the dirt wall or something)

Only in the last place, there is more coal scattered on the ground than ever before.

Seeing that, it still seemed right to Ray that at the end of the day, he challenged the flames on which the massive dragonias proceeded, and as a result they became charcoal… in other words, to decide that the magic used in the magic had been cut off.

"In the meantime, we need to proceed with caution from here.... Seto, thank you. Thanks for letting me ride this far."

Ray speaks of gratitude as he descends from Seto's back.

It was a throaty ceto that sounded happy, but I guess you understand that this is a dangerous place.

Check the surrounding situation with a serious look so that no matter what happens immediately.

"It's the real deal from here. … I hope there are gold scaled dragonias, or speckled dragonias, or other new species."

Vihera also had a good look at what was going on around her as she went down from Seto's back.

Its eyes are sharp and alert to the surrounding conditions, and I clearly understand that it is the real deal from here on out.

(RPG or something, it can be a pretty long Las Boss dungeon... but in a way, it's just like my situation right now)

I guess I'm never wrong in the sense of a boss because I'm headed to a place where the Queen of Dragonias is.

With that judgment, the Rays begin to walk.

"It wasn't just the walls and ceilings that were glowing, it was the ground, too.... I didn't know because I'd been burned before."

Ray squeaks as he looks at the glowing ground.

The ground, like walls and ceilings, emits light.

It's a gentle light, and there's no such thing as glare watching... but there's still something about the ground that Ray's not used to somehow

"Do you think it was Dragonias' fault that this ground, wall, and ceiling are glowing? Or was this ground originally of that nature..."

"I don't know. I'm more concerned about the lack of Dragonias than that. My magic has come to an end, so the red scale dragonias are natural, but I don't think it would be strange to have other dragonias."

Red scaled dragonias are resistant to flames, so even Ray's magic won't kill you.

But while Seto has moved so far, and where he is currently visible, there is nowhere to see the red scaled dragonias.

That was the question for Ray.

"The question around here is, you don't know that's what's going on. In the meantime, let's move on. 'Cause I think I know what lies ahead."

Vihera's words don't mean she wants to know, they're something close to a certain desire to have someone she should fight if she can.

Ray knew that, too, but I understand that we have to move on now anyway, so there's no difference to that.

"It's going to be a very happy time for Vihera."

"Right. You don't have to camp because of Seto.... Well, I don't know actually."

I don't know how long it will take from where the Rays are currently to where the Dragonias and the others are gathered.

Alternatively, there was ample possibility that the journey to that point would take time, thereby making camp.... As for Ray, it was something I didn't really want to think about.

"That said, there was no such thing as a trap."

Ray changes the subject as he walks, trying to forget a little about the possibility of having to camp.

It was certain that the trap that would be on the ground had almost everything of it burned by Ray's magic in relation to Ceto doing things like running on the ground instead of flying.... Same here. I didn't know if there really was a trap, though, because I couldn't tell from the body of Dragonias, who was burned and turned into charcoal.

But the flames travel along the ground, so naturally they can be burned, but only the traps installed on the ground.

For example, even if a trap is set up about 1 m or 2 m from the ground, Ray's magic cannot imitate it by burning it.

Nevertheless, while Seto ran this far, he never got hooked on some kind of trap.

That means there's a good chance that the trap wasn't set from the beginning.

"Um, yeah. If you think about it normally... regardless of the intelligent dragonias, the ordinary dragonias are dominated by hunger and they work by instinct, right? For if there is a trap within its sphere of action…"

"Before we hook up, will Dragonias hook up?"

As far as Ray knows, even if Dragonias is taught there are traps, he can't first imitate things like avoiding them at his discretion.

If the commander, Dragonias, gave the order not to touch the place, he would obey the order... but then he would need to designate all the places where the trap is, and order him not to come into contact there.

Given the number of dragonias, I would be able to do such an imitation if I wanted to, but when people actually ask me if I would do it, I think it would be a subtle place for Ray.

"Right. When that happens, a place where Dragonias doesn't pass...... that might be near the ceiling where Seto flies, but can we assume that there are no traps on the ground where Dragonias usually passes?

To the words, Ray checks the surroundings.

As Vihera said, if there's no such thing as a trap, it's going to be a lot easier to move on.

"If you do, it'll help this way.... If there's no trap, it's easy to get to where Dragonias is."

With that being said, I don't want to imitate things like running somewhere on the ground that isn't burning if I can than there could possibly be a kind of trap...

"Anyway, let's move on now. Whatever you do, we need to get to where Dragonias is."

To that word of Vihera, Ray understands and proceeds towards the back of the underground space.

Even if the ground that was burning is gone, Dragonias is nowhere to be seen.

The trouble with Dragonias is that number.

Yet this situation, where there is still no dragonias anywhere, gives Ray some anxiety.

That's because I could have guessed that Dragonias would be under some control and waiting for us.

But Ray decides and rethinks that if he immediately finds an enemy and strikes from a distance, he can defeat any other ordinary dragonias, regardless of red scale dragonias or commander-level dragonias.

In fact, the magic we used before entering this underground space can do a lot of damage to Dragonias.

Beyond that, and even if Dragonias existed in the same way, it was a chance to magically overhaul it.

(If you have this huge space, you can also use a fire whirlwind. That should cut the number of red scale dragonias considerably)

The red scale dragonias have an overwhelming resistance to the flames, but that doesn't mean they are effective against all of Ray's magic.

That's one of the fire whirlwinds that Ray, for example, considered as a candidate to use.

Attacks caused by fire whirlwinds, apart from attacks caused by heat, are of the kind of metal pieces thrown by Ray on the tornado, and the shocks that occur when the involved dragonias collide with each other, even the red scaled dragonias, are as powerful as they can take enough lives.

In fact, in the fire whirlwind that Ray used before when he raided Dragonias strongholds, he has succeeded in killing many red scaled dragonias in that way.

"Oh?"

And, as he walks, Vihera accidentally leaks a small grunt.

What the hell happened and when Ray followed Vihella's gaze... there was one tiny dragonias there.

"Copper Scale Dragonias......?

Ray sees its dragonias and convinces him of the meaning of Vihella's words.

But at the same time, I wonder why the dragonias of copper scales appeared before us.

Only the copper scaled dragonias have a fairly small body in a species that, on average, has a distinctly gigantic body.

"... you're not attacking me."

"Right."

"Gru?"

There is no doubt that the dragonias of copper scales are ahead of our own gaze.

But that copper scale dragonias has no way of attacking the Rays.

If this is normal dragonias, even soon...... that's the moment I find the Rays, I don't even realize that they're absolutely unwinnable opponents myself, just dominated by the hunger that's inside me, and they'll come at me.

But the dragonias of copper scales, which are also commanding grades, have a clear intelligence.

That, too, as far as Ray confirms, should have been higher in intelligence than in silver scaled dragonias.

For a few minutes, Rays and the copper scale dragonias stare at each other.

Rays wondered what the hell the copper scale dragonias were here for... and deliberately appeared before them.

They were looking at me like that, but eventually the copper scaly dragonias move by breaking that silence.

"nananaahan"

The words out of that mouth, Ray still doesn't know what he's talking about.

But still, I didn't see how they were going to attack me... and that's what it was obvious when I saw how they were making out, they didn't take an offensive attitude at all.

Though, that's why I couldn't have imitated it in a way that allowed me to.

"What do we do? This guy doesn't seem willing to fight..."

If they come at us, Vihera and Seto show confusion to Ray, who asks while setting up a death size so he can intercept them at any time.

Naturally. Even if Dragonias wasn't friendly... it was totally unexpected if you looked at him that he showed up in front of us like this for some reason but didn't show us how to attack him.

"In the meantime, do you want to come closer? That way, I think I know a little bit about what that copper scale dragonias wants to do."

"... ok. Well, I'll try to get close, so if anything happens, I'm gonna need backup."

Yes, tell Vihera, Ray approaches the dragonias of copper scales.

In fact, it would be better if Ray, who has numerous means of covering from medium and long distances, waited in the rear and Vihera, who uses fighting, came into contact with the dragonias of copper scales.

But that's what Ray decided when he came forward.

Whatever the copper scale dragonias did, I thought I would be able to deal with it myself, because otherwise I wanted to imitate Vihera in danger.

Most importantly, if Vihera knew how Ray felt like that, she would have a subtle look on her face.

I'm glad to have the man I love imitate that.

But at the same time, he wanted to show that he wasn't just a woman to protect.

While lost for a few seconds, Ray stands in front of a dragonias of copper scales.

And even standing in front of the dragonias of copper scales, the opponent didn't look like he was attacking at all.

(Doesn't mean he's not attacking... is he a negotiator? No, but in the first place, even to negotiate, me and Dragonias can't negotiate any more than they can speak at all. So, I'm not even a negotiator. Then……)

Ray was thinking about what the hell the copper scale dragonias in front of him was, but eventually he came to one conclusion… and at the same time, the copper scale dragonias turn around and show Ray his back.

"Correct."

Ray grins and squeals so much because the conclusion reached in Ray and the action taken by the copper scale Dragonias were the same.

The conclusion Ray came to… is that this copper scale dragonias will guide us somewhere.

And where to guide you in the current situation would be obvious without having to think about it.

"Let's go. Maybe I'm going to lead you to some trap, but then it does. So, things move again."

In Ray's words, Vihera and Seto had no objection either, and it followed.
