Chapter 87: Azure Mist Peak (12)
The male white tiger meticulously tugged at the fabric of Lin Yuan’s robe, dragging him half a step backward toward the white tiger. The gentle pull was so delicate for a mighty beast like white tiger.
Lin Yuan looked down at his sleeve with a bewildered expression on his face. He looked back at the tiger’s shimmering golden eyes, then at its mate, before scratching his hair back.
"What do you want me to do?" Lin Yuan asked, squinting his eyes in confusion, letting out a warm smile. "I already helped a bit to heal your partner..."
From beside his shoulder, the turtle beast crawled up, let out a soft snort, and murmured, "Haha! The tiger boy needs you to take them with you!"
’Tiger boy? Huh?’ Lin Yuan clicked his tongue, ’This turtle is bit arrogant now,’
"Wait..." Lin Yuan blinked, a sudden grin spreading across his face as he listened to the turtle’s words. "Is it real?"
"Yeah," the turtle beast hovering beside him darted its eyes. "They want to follow you. But listen to me carefully... you need to refine them both! Don’t fucking be a retard to separate the majestic couple from each other."
"Yeah, yeah, it’s fine!" Lin Yuan laughed gently, waving his hand in a relaxed gesture. "As long as they want to be with me, refining them won’t be much of a problem, haha!"
Lin Yuan called out with a loud voice, turning back toward the exit of the cave. "Chen Ming! Nichang! Assistant Master Qin! Come here for a second!"
The three of them walked over, curiosity lingering across their faces.
"What’s wrong, Lin Yuan?" Chen Ming muttered, smearing a bit of dirt from his forehead. "Did something happen?"
Lin Yuan gestured toward the two massive beasts resting gently beside him. "The white tigers want to follow me as my tamed beasts. I’m planning to refine them as my multiple beasts."
The eerie silence instantly descended upon the cave. Chen Ming’s jaw dropped, and Lian Nichang froze, petrified instantly.
Qin Yuze, who had been standing with his usual cold demeanor, instantly widened his eyes. His expression turned extraordinarily stern.
’Multiple beasts?’ Qin Yuze thought, nodding his head, ’This brat got some good knowledge... I guess the Qing Clan people are well known about this stuff... but—’
"Refine them?" Qin Yuze grunted, his voice cutting through the cave immediately interrupting Lin Yuan’s conversation with his friends. "Lin Yuan, do you realize what you are saying? It is exceedingly dangerous to refine a legendary beast when you are only in the Spirit Beast Realm with an uncommon beast as your core! And now you are saying you will refine two Rank Four beasts simultaneously? Ridiculous! You will die for sure... I won’t allow this!"
The white tigers growled slightly, looking toward Qin Yuze. Lin Yuan didn’t flinch. He looked into the assistant master’s eyes with unwavering resolve, stepping forward.
"The White Tigers want to be with me of their own free will," Lin Yuan countered immediately, his voice filled with confidence. "Because there is no resistance from them, the refining process will be far easier. It will only require a great concentration for a few hours. If I am lucky, I might even break through into the Core Beast Realm during the cultivation process!"
Lin Yuan looked toward the dark opening of the cave leading out to the mountain path.
"I will do it tonight when we reach the top of Azure Mist Peak," Lin Yuan continued explaining, "Let’s take them with us."
Qin Yuze stared at the young boy for a brief moment. He looked for any trace of arrogance, recklessness, or hesitation... but he found only an unshakeable, profound resolve.
The assistant master remained silent for a long moment before letting out a weary sigh. He gave a single, sturdy nod of approval, turned around without speaking another word, and began walking out of the dark cave immediately.
"Keep up," Qin Yuze commanded, his voice echoing across the cave. "We still have a far distance to cover."

Meanwhile, on the misty slopes of the mountain... at group five.
Teng Haoran’s group was walking through a humid, mossy ravine. The bunch of shimmering Rank Two Spirit Dew Mushrooms grew abundantly along the roots of the oak trees.
"There are so many here!" Chen Yu Ming whispered happily, slowly harvesting a pair of faint blue mushrooms.
"Let’s go!!" Huo Luo Ren was crouched a few feet away, wrapping the mushroom into a cloth. "If we gather all these mushrooms, our group’s trial score will hit the sky!"
Teng Haoran, standing still with his eyes locked on the thick canopy above, suddenly felt his instincts tickling in his brain.
A thick, sticky strand of white silk shot down from the darkness overhead, snagging Huo Luo Ren’s cloth pack and pulling him backward!
"Ahhhhh!" Huo Luo Ren yelled, tumbling across the dirt vehemently.
"Enemy!" Teng Haoran roared, taking a combat stance. "Something is attacking..."
High above on the branches, an enormous, eight-eyed creature descended on a white thread of silk. Its dark body glistened with venom, and its hairy legs stretched nearly four feet across.
"A Rank Three Shadow-Web Spider!" Chen Yu Ming gasped, her water wolf instantly stepping in front of her with a vicious growl to protect her.
"Don’t panic!" Teng Haoran commanded, his wind falcon’s essence circling around his body like a swirling breeze. "Chen Yu Ming, use your water wolf to halt its footing! Huo Luo Ren, target its eyes with your deer’s flame!"
"Got it!" Chen Yu Ming and Huo Luo Ren nodded at the same time, moving forward.
The three disciples performed according to their response seamlessly. A blast of cold water slammed into the spider’s legs, pinning it to the muddy earth, while a burst of scorching flame forced the rank three beast to screech in agony and shield its face from burning.
Teng Haoran leaped off against a mossy boulder, his wind falcon diving alongside him to thrust a sharp, pressurized wind blade across the spider’s weakness, forcing the monster to retreat back into the canopy of the high trees.
But the spider monster didn’t escape back. It let out a loud screech, blasting thick, venomous webs toward Chen Yu Ming and Huo Luo Ren, but they dodged from them effortlessly. After a few moments of the agonizing battle, Teng Haoran managed to land a devastating strike on the spider which was good enough to kill it.
After the spider beast collapsed onto the ground, Huo Luo Ren slowly reached it to retrieve the rank three beast cores. He took the bluish core and placed it in his storage pouch immediately.
They resumed their mushroom harvesting immediately after dusting their robes off.

By the time the sun began dipping below the western horizon, casting the sky in deep shades of crimson and violet, the group one had officially reached the flat, breathtaking top of the Azure Mist Peak.
The wind here was chilly and crisp, carrying the faint linger of pure spiritual energy.
"We will stay here tonight," Qin Yuze announced, leaning his back against a massive stone boulder.
Immediately, the disciples started to work on building a shelter. Chen Ming and Lian Nichang began gathering wooden logs and dry pine branches for the shelter and campfire.
The male white tiger was eager to assist its new owner and his friends, lumbered over to a fallen tree trunk, clenching the wood log with its massive jaw, and casually dragged the heavy log toward the campsite as if it were a toothpick.
Chen Ming stared in pure shock, dropping the tiny bundle of twigs he was holding. "Okay, that’s just cheating."
Lian Nichang laughed softly, setting up the stone fire pit.
Seeing her mate helping, the female white tiger slowly attempted to rise from her resting spot under a shaded ground to help carry branches.
Lin Yuan immediately stepped in her path, gently placing his hand on her face. He sluggishly smeared its white fur, letting out a warm smile.
"No, no," Lin Yuan said gently, his voice carrying a warmth of trust. "You need to rest and recover from your wound. Leave the heavy lifting to us, my friend."
The female tiger let out a calm grin, closing her eyes and resting her heavy head upon her paws to sleep. And the male white tiger observed Lin Yuan’s kindness with a calm smile on its face.
Before long, a crackling campfire lit up the area. The group enjoyed a warm dinner of roasted mountain roots and grilled meat, listening to the sparklings from burning wood while the stars slowly unveiled themselves across the black sky. The scent of scorched meat lingered across the area. Lin Yuan fed meat to the pair of tigers also.
Once the meal was finished and the campsite settled into a quiet, peaceful rhythm, Lin Yuan walked over to a massive, towering oak tree at the edge of the path.
He sat down cross-legged under its vast branches, crossing his ankles and resting his hands upon his knees.
The male and female white tigers walked over silently, lowering their massive heads on either side of him like two majestic, white guardians.
Lin Yuan closed his eyes, taking a calm breath of night breeze. The streams of beast essence began swirling around his aperture, slamming against the walls of his aperture.
