April is the perfect season for people visiting Ranwu Lake.

This season, the temperature is no longer as cold as winter, and the beautiful scenery of Ranwu Lake is still preserved.

A little later, the lake water will become turbid, losing the main charm of Ranwu Lake.

However, this season is not necessarily the best for other attractions.

Take Laigu Glacier, for example; the best time to visit Laigu Glacier is in winter, from December to January, when the ice lake is completely frozen and you can walk to the famous blue ice cave.

But now, if you go to Laigu Glacier again, you can only sit in the car on the opposite shore and watch from afar, which is honestly not very interesting.

So Li Younan did not plan to visit Laigu Glacier, which is a bit of a small regret on this trip.

Laigu Glacier is one of the three major glaciers in the world, and it does have many worthwhile places to see.

It doesn’t really matter, as there are many more roads to travel along on this trip, with beautiful, close-up glaciers to explore.

Many people have the impression of Tibet as highland grasslands, but in fact, this land is more mountains, snow peaks, glaciers, and even tropical rainforests... The colorful and diverse landscapes are what this land truly looks like.

Liu Li has been recently obsessed with learning Tibetan, sitting next to Li Younan who was driving, she tirelessly practiced Tibetan over and over again.

Next, they drove towards Bomi.

After leaving Ranwu Lake, they entered the territory of Bomi, passing through the highway of Yupu Grand Canyon, winding through the canyon, with the altitude decreasing sharply from nearly 4,000 meters down to the river valley of Palong Zangbo at just over 2,000 meters.

Therefore, when they reached Bomi, there was almost no need to worry about altitude sickness.

Due to the drastic drop in altitude, the mountains presented an appearance as if carved by knives and axes.

Driving along, Li Younan felt increasingly less regret over not visiting Laigu Glacier earlier.

Glacier is the iconic scenery of Bomi County, known as the home of glaciers in China.

There are more than 2,000 glaciers distributed among the snow mountain canyons that crisscross, and the warm moist air from the Indian Ocean lowers the snow line here and brings more ample precipitation, nurturing thousands of glaciers.

Continuing along the canyon, snow mountains stand magnificently on both sides, dense spruce forests fill the canyon, the highway meanders through, creating a strong visual impact due to the vast altitude difference.

Following the flow of the Palong Zangbo, after several hours of continuous driving, they finally arrived at Bomi County Town.

It is nestled among the snow mountains, at an altitude of just over 2,700 meters, with complete supporting infrastructure, and serves as the starting point for entering Motuo, the last county in China to be accessible by road.

Motuo is not on the National Highway 318, but Li Younan intends to visit it.

From Bomi to Motuo, it will be the most unique section of this journey, transitioning from a cold climate to tropical rainforest climate.

At the same time, this highway is also a check-in spot.

Li Younan speculated that perhaps the task from Bomi to Motuo is simply to successfully pass through this highway.

The next step, Li Younan will surely travel this road from Bomi to Motuo, otherwise, it seems like a wasted trip to him.

After a short rest in Bomi County Town, Li Younan and Liu Li planned to stay here for two to three days.

Since the scenery in Bomi is very beautiful, there are many worthwhile places to visit nearby, and now it’s the season for blooming peach blossoms, with Peach Blossom Valley just a few dozen kilometers away at its most beautiful time.

The peach blossoms in Linzhi, Tibet are renowned nationally, and Peach Blossom Valley in Bomi is one of its finest.

It can surely fulfill everyone’s imagination of a paradise.

In the next few days, Li Younan took Liu Li to explore Peach Blossom Valley.

Peach Blossom Valley is home to dozens of villages, each with its unique characteristics.

The car set out from Bomi County Town, heading in the Zamu Town direction for about 30 kilometers, reaching the entrance of Peach Blossom Valley.

Upon entering, both sides of the road host wild peach trees sprawling along the mountain slopes, with robust trunks and branches naturally stretching towards the sky, pink peach blossoms covering the branches, showing no signs of deliberate pruning, naturally growing.

After spending two days, Li Younan and Liu Li’s footprints had almost covered the entire Peach Blossom Valley.

Every corner of the road presented changes in the peach blossom views — in some places, a few peach trees grew sporadically beside the barley fields, while in other places, entire peach groves covered half of a hillside.

They stopped at an observation deck, where they could see the village below surrounded by peach groves, villagers laboring in the barley fields, with children occasionally playing and chasing under peach trees.

Having visited several villages in Peach Blossom Valley, Li Younan suddenly had a new idea.

To be honest, although peach blossoms are very beautiful, seeing so many of them sometimes leads to visual fatigue, and by the end, the excitement diminishes.

However, as the town of glaciers, there is so much more to explore.

Behind these villages are hidden many glaciers of various sizes.
