After all, during this period, Tuantuan’s dietary standards were quite high; it had been eating fresh meat and eggs without interruption, living a very different lifestyle compared to its kind in the wild who experience hunger inconsistently.

However, Tuantuan’s wings hadn’t completely healed, so it was accustomed to moving in a rather comical shuffle.

Those who often handle owls know that owls rest during the day and become very alert at night, transforming from being nearly blind to having exceptional night vision.

To expend Tuantuan’s unspent energy, Li Younan would place it on the car’s sunroof, allowing it to view the outside scenery at night, whimsically dubbing it the "Guardian of the Night."

Liu Li asked, "Won’t it feel lonely up there by itself?"

Li Younan confidently assured, "No, it’s quite happy up there. You can see how its gaze sharpens the moment it’s on the sunroof, like a real bird of prey."

Tuantuan puffed out its chest.

Notably, there is a surveillance camera on the roof, allowing them to view Tuantuan’s activities on the TV inside the vehicle in real-time.

Li Younan crafted a two-story wooden nest for it; the upper level for resting with a roof and insulation, more comfortable than any natural owl’s nest.

The lower level of the nest was open and lined with a garbage bag, meant for its restroom needs. During the day, a cage was set outside the vehicle, and after eating and relieving itself, Tuantuan was allowed to roam freely, ensuring the vehicle remained odor-free.

Today followed the same arrangement. Li Younan opened the sunroof and placed Tuantuan’s nest on top.

The adorable owl, upon reaching the sunroof, transformed into the keeper of the dark night.

Currently, the two still sleep innocently in the same bed, Liu Li always feeling shy but joyful. Her nightly slumber is something she eagerly anticipates, as she can be close to her beloved, breathing in his scent.
