Let's Manage The Tower

The first curry of gossip

Nick, a Class C adventurer, was hanging around the city the day after he returned from his expedition.

I went to the top of the tower to pick up the materials, so I haven't seen the fifth floor in a month.

It's been a long time since there was a safety area and living in a tent, but it's been a long time since I've walked among a lot of people.

In addition, the fifth floor city has been constantly developing since its inception, so even a month has changed considerably.

This was one of Nick's pleasures on his holiday back from the expedition.

By the way, Nick is a genuine tower boy born on the fifth floor.

People born and raised in the Tower are called the Tower Kids, but they don't know when they started talking.

It doesn't matter to Nick, one of them.

Walking through the city to find a new place doesn't mean the city is too big in the first place to see everything in one day.

Nevertheless, it's fun to see stores that weren't built before or houses that you don't recognize.

As Nick walked down the main street in a fresh mood, he felt a smell unfamiliar to him.

"What's that smell? Spices?

In the fifth floor of the city, where things from all over the world gather, it is not uncommon to find dishes that use spices.

Nevertheless, Nick was attracted to the scent that he had never smelled before, and he started walking toward the source of the smell.

The smell of spices was strong, so it was relatively easy to find the source.

Above all, there were a lot of people there, so I couldn't go wrong.

"What the hell?... the stall?

It's a fifth floor city with lots of stalls, but it's unusual for people to gather here.

That's what Nick wouldn't be watching right now if it weren't a popular store that many people support.

"I know it's some kind of food... but what's that color anyway?

Nick glanced at the yellow object on the simplified dish as he glanced at the object in the hand of the customer who bought it at the stall.

Some people seem to take it home from work, but many eat it on the spot.

As far as his expression is concerned, he eats it deliciously, contrary to its strange appearance.

I know it doesn't taste bad because of the number of people, but I still have resistance to that color.

Still, Nick decided to line up the stalls.

The odd hunger became the last decision whether it was caused by the smell of spices.

I noticed from the beginning that the regular people brought their own vessels and put them in.

Nick, who was planning on walking around town, doesn't have that kind of stuff.

Nick handed the curry to Nick, who was told by a beautiful seller that there would be a simple plate charge.

Incidentally, the simple dishes will be returned to you after you have finished eating them.

However, since it can be used repeatedly, it was explained that it is okay to have it released the next time the product is sold.

Certainly, some of the people lined up had such vessels.

The name curry has already been confirmed in the dealings between the seller and other customers while lined up.

Some customers bought a side menu, but Nick didn't.

I don't know what kind of curry I eat for the first time, and above all, the curry itself is quite expensive.

Nonetheless, many people add side menus.

Because it is a stall, there are no chairs around it.

There are several benches in the square where the stalls are located, but they are already full.

There was no choice, so Nick decided to stand a little away from the stall and eat.

I plugged a spoon into the rice that was already eaten by the general household, and raised the whole curry on top.

Due to the characteristic smell, I hesitated to take the first sip, but it was too early after swallowing the sip.

"Hmm, what is this!?

Nick opened his eyes with surprise to the flavor for the first time.

I suddenly raised my voice and looked around, worried about my surroundings, but no one was paying attention to me.

Nick was relieved and convinced that there were others who were in the same state as himself, and that there were others who responded like this.

It was too soon after I realized that I didn't have to worry about my surroundings.

At first, I stopped worrying about the hesitant smell and carried the curry into my mouth one after another.

When noticed, there wasn't a single grain of rice left on the plate, and Nick ate his last bite in a shame.

"... thank you for dinner."

Nick's first curry experience ended with a familiar closing phrase from childhood.

Nick, who went to return the plate to the stall, heard that he was worried about giving the plate to one of the sellers.

"It was really good, but why aren't you selling drinks?

Curry is a bit spicy, so I want a drink when I eat it.

But I don't sell any drinks to the stalls.

The seller's response to Nick's question was quite simple.

"Even if you don't buy it at this stall, there are stalls around where drinks are placed."

When Nick heard the answer, he thought it was enough.

Popular stores can be said to be stealing sales from other stores.

It was easy to buy unwanted grudges by focusing customers on their own shop, so I understood that I dared to do so.

Actually, there were other reasons, but Nick couldn't think of anything else at this time.

Nick nodded to the seller's answer and handed over the plate saying, "Thank you."

When Nick arrived at the inn he was staying in, he was summoned by a group of people who had just passed by.

"Hey, Nick. What's that smell?

I completely forgot until I was told, but the smell of curry is unique.

The one who stopped Nick realized that he was a little sharp among his friends.

"Yeah?... I see. If it's now, we'll find out by going to the temple square.

"Of the temple? What the hell?

"So-so. It would be boring to tell me all about it. Just go. If we don't hurry, we might be able to sell out.

Nick said that with a smile on his face, and his companions leaned their necks out of the inn.

The curious fellow chose to go straight to the interview rather than spend time asking Nick for answers.

Nick, who was looking behind him, smiled with certainty that his companions would fall in too.
