Let's Manage The Tower
(5) Old rituals and old clans
"... it's not going well."
Shreyne sighed and dropped her shoulders in one of the rooms at Vamilinian Castle.
The room where Shreyn is now is a place for various rituals, so that even if he makes a mistake and makes a runaway, it will not affect the surroundings.
Management has a training room, but they are not prepared to perform special rituals like vampires do.
For this reason, Shreyne is in this room trying the ritual of a contract that has been passed down for a long time.
Of course, there is a limit to trying from one end to Schlein.
Combining both health and magic has been one of the causes of poor results, as in some cases it may not be able to do much.
However, this is all too much to do, so I find time to perform an old ritual.
Inez of the Prost clan came to such troubled Shreyn.
"Mr. Schlein, are you sure you want to do this?
Inez approached Shreyne as he confirmed that he had not performed the ritual.
"Lord Inez? What's the matter with you?
"No, I have the literature because Mr Schlein is looking for an old ritual."
Shreyne had issued a circular that he was looking for old literature through Bennett to verify using a tin wand.
The castle also has literature collected from various places, but some are kept by their respective families.
Especially in the prost family, there was a lot of literature brought out of the temple of Alkis.
Inez brought this with him.
"Oh, I see. That will save you."
The Prost family is only said to be the oldest of the vampires and stores many valuable literature.
Some of it, however, makes Schlein happy to see it.
Inés asked Shreyne, who received the book with a smile on her face, with an interesting face.
"... to revive the old ritual, but was there any progress?
"No, it's progress, or I was able to revive a ritual a while ago. I thought there might be others."
"Eh!? What's that?"
Shreyne answers Inez with her shoulders shrugged.
"It's a prayer to the earth. At the foot of the mountain, I made a deal with Clara God."
Shreyne didn't want to hide anything about the ritual she had the other day, so she told Inez right away.
"It's, uh..."
Inez, who heard Shreyn's words, was stunned for a while with an unexpected expression.
Today's vampires will not even think about the shards, as the daily prayers to the earth are truly used for the covenant with God, as conveyed in the legend.
That's what Inez said when he saw this reaction.
Until then, the ritual of prayer to the earth has permeated the general public and is still used in everyday life.
That is why, on the contrary, I would never expect such a ritual to make a covenant with God.
Resurrected by surprise, Inés sighed deeply before seeing Shreyne.
"I see, that's why you're revisiting the old rituals."
"Well, that's not what I meant.... so far, it's not all gone."
Inez smiled at Shreyn, who accidentally spilled his complain.
"Easily resurrecting such an old ritual will not bring back the hardships of our ancestors.... No, in this case, should we lament the fact that it has lost its original meaning after a long time?"
It is a delicate matter whether to rejoice at the resurrection of the old ritual or to lament the failure to properly convey the meaning of the ritual.
Shreyne smiled back at Inez, who had a complex face.
"You can't help mourning the past forever. But if we have a contract that can be revived correctly, we should find it."
That's true, too.
Inés nodded loudly at Shreyn's positive words.
I'm not going to throw away the past, but Inez knows that you can't stay focused forever.
The Prost family, in particular, has a track record of putting a miserable past in the Temple of Alkis.
I still don't know whether it was good or bad.
Following Shreyn's words, Inés had a slightly more contemplative look.
"And yet... the prayer of the earth? It was too obvious to notice at all."
"I agree."
Neither of us thought that the daily rituals that vampires used to perform were simply a contract to communicate with God.
Of course, I happened to be able to call Clara God because I met a lot of conditions, but it was a great achievement just to find out.
"If Lord Shreyne is to revive a major contract, is it time for us to review our daily rituals?"
"Oh, that might be good."
Shreyne doesn't have one body, and she can't do all the rituals.
It would be considerably less burdensome if other vampires could sort it out and investigate.
However, as in the prayers of the earth recently, there may be rituals that can only be performed because of Shreyn, so it does not mean that Shreyn does not have to do anything at all.
Anyway, there is no doubt that Schlein's revival of the old rituals provided a good opportunity for each vampire to review the rituals they have performed so far.
Among them, if we could regain the original meaning, it would have been a good opportunity for us to continue the ritual that we still have.

After breaking up with Inez, Shreyn was reading the book she brought.
The only thing that existed was the oldest family, and all the books Inez brought were like the ones he had never seen in Schlein.
However, the rituals written there were mostly about rituals that Schlein knew.
Nevertheless, some of them are not exactly the same, but have changed in the course of history.
"... that's the Prost family."
The way rituals are performed may change as the land changes.
Given that, it is only natural that the ritual methods change over time, but the Prost family has probably preserved the oldest ritual methods.
I am also interested in the rituals the Prost family has followed, but I would like to know if Schlein can revive those old rituals.
The same rituals that I have tried so far are gradually being omitted.
While doing so, the ritual written in a book caught Schlein's eye.
"... what is this?
The ceremony written there was something Schlein had never seen before.
In addition, it even relates to prayers to the earth.
Whatever Shreyn used to be, there is now a connection with Clara God.
Perhaps it could be established as a ritual, Schlein read the sentences written there in depth.
