Let's Manage The Tower
(9) Shivering of the Tin Wand
Concluding that she did not know what kind of power Clara would have, Schlein decided to try to master the cane for the time being.
Even so, we did not do so much advanced work.
I usually carry my cane with me and keep using it when I can, such as performing a vampire ritual or exercising proper magic.
Fortunately, for everyday use, the cane could also be used without running wild.
When I used it for the first time, I was nervous, but now the hardness is removed and I can use it as before the improvement.
One day, about half a month after I improved my cane while doing that, a rare guest arrived at Shreyne, who thought it was time to try out a new ritual.
"Oh, it's a trick. Did something happen to you?
Wanri was waiting in the room where his men called him.
It is very unusual for Wanli to come to Vamilinian Castle, even though we meet a little in management.
"Yes. Oniisama said it would be better to ask Shreyne-sama."
"Kowske? What happened?
"That 's--"
Wanli said he wanted to broaden the range of dishes served in a fox lodge.
Kaosuke nominated Shreyne because he thought that if Shreyne runs the stadium town, he could arrange cooks as well.
Having heard Wanri's story, Shreyn nodded convincingly.
"I see. Sure, then it would be best to ask me."
Members of management other than Schlein are basically absent, so they don't have many acquaintances outside.
Then you should rely on the vampires and iglids who cook the inn from the beginning.
Looking at Shreyn, Wanli had a nice look.
Seeing it, Shreyn returned a bitter smile.
"What is it? You thought I'd say no?
"No, it's not...!
Shreyn shook his neck to the left and right as if Wanli were in a hurry.
When I was heading to Vamilinian Castle, where Shreyn was everywhere, Kaiseki told me that Shreyn seemed busy these days.
I don't know why Kaisuke said such a thing, but Shreyne looked upset when she heard it.
"... at all. I can't refuse my sweet sister's request. What do you mean, Kowske?
"Ah, um... Don't blame oniisama. I was just mistaken..."
The examiner only said that Shreyn seemed busy, and he didn't say a word that he might be able to ask you a favor.
I was just worried about Wanri thinking about something extra.
"I know. Even so, there's a way to put it."
Wanri's personality should be well understood, even for examinations.
It was Shreyn who thought so and accidentally said so, but he looked at the one with a troubled face and laughed at it as if it were a fool.
"Well, that doesn't matter now. Rather, let's choose who to send."
"Ha, yes!
Shreyn nodded honestly as he made up his mind to tighten up his exam aid.

The cook dispatched to the fox inn was decided without any particular difficulty.
Because one of Iglid's cooks, who is in charge of the whole town, told me that he was going.
There was no problem with his abilities at all, and he didn't care if he was a fox, so Wanri executed him on the spot.
The specific conversation ended, and the actual cooking started the next day, and Iglid, the person in charge, has already left the scene.
And then Wanli returned to the fox stronghold, something that Shreyne didn't think happened.
When a wanli moves through a hierarchy, it is fox-shaped due to its fast feet.
Naturally, I returned to the fox to return to my base.
Then the tin wand placed next to Shreyn reacted to it.
Specifically, the tin wand standing on the side trembled small.
"Wah, wanli, wait a minute!
Having uncovered the trembling cane, Shreyne hurriedly stopped wanting to leave the room unaware of the cane.
Wanli, who was trying to run away from the room, stopped immediately at Shreyn's call and approached him as if something had happened.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I need to check a little bit."
Shreyn reached out to the cane.
The wand trembled for a moment and has already returned to its normal state.
Looking at that alone, it seemed that the earlier change was an illusion of the eyes, but the cane was definitely trembling.
I can say that I was careful because it was Shreyn who had been touching the cane for a long time recently.
"What the hell did you react to... No, I can't help thinking about it here."
It was Schlein who was about to get caught up in a whirlpool of thought for a moment, but he turned his gaze to the wandering gently waiting.
"I'm sorry, but can I get human again?
I'm sorry to say it was Shreyn, but Wanri quickly turned human without any particular reluctance.
Then, just like before, the tin wand trembles a little bit.
"... is it still not a mistake?"
There is no doubt that the cane is trembling when the wand changes.
But I had no idea why it was happening.
Wanri, who had been watching Shreyn think for a while, decided to talk after a few minutes.
"Shreyne-san, what's wrong?
Having forgotten about Wanli for a moment, Shreyne took her gaze away from her cane and returned to Wanli as if she were happy with her voice.
"No, I'm sorry. It looks like this cane is responding to the change in the wand."
With that in mind, Shreyn explained the tremors of the cane in a little more detail.
After hearing Shreyne's explanation, Wanri leaned her neck to reflect a little bit.
"Onee-sama, if you have time, why don't you go to our base?
Wanli said so and suggested making sure the cane trembles the same way even with other fox changes.
If any other fox seems to tremble, the cane is responding to the change in the fox, otherwise it is responding only to the change in the wand.
"I'd rather ask... is that okay?
"I don't mind. Besides, there's something I think I might do."
Wanri nodded, pointing to the hook that was hanging from her neck.
Wanli is a wanli, and I'm guessing that the tremor of the cane is responding to the hook.
Shreyne nodded once to understand the idea in Wanri's manners.
I see. That doesn't seem to be the most certain. I'm sorry, but I'm begging you now. "
"Yes. Shall we go?"
That's what Wanri said. Turn around and go back to the fox.
I still trembled at that time, so I was sure that Shreyne was already responding to some of the changes in the wand.
And Shreyn returned to the form of a fox (?) I followed Wanri to the base where the fox was.
