Let's Manage The Tower
(2) Talk between adventurers
When they arrived in Efek, the town next to the forest they were asked to investigate, Liku quickly began gathering information.
The forest in question is not officially named in the first place.
Because the forests themselves span multiple countries, and because some of the forests are mountainous, the inhabitants of nearby towns and villages simply call them "forests."
This is one of the reasons why it is not named because it is not a forest that can draw particularly important resources for the country.
The most familiar with such forests is becoming a local adventurer.
It's only natural because we go into the woods on a daily basis to catch prey.
In the first place, it was the Public Adventurers Guild in the town that brought the forest weird story to the country.
However, it was named "public" for the time being, but basically it operated by the adventurers (or receptionists), so they did not receive much treatment.
By the way, there is no crown in this town.
As a result, the Crown did not have any information on forest anomalies.
Lik, Kari and Darya, separated from the rest of the group, showed their faces to the tavern housed in the Adventurers Guild.
A jealous gaze was directed at Lik, who was carrying two women, but Lik approached the subject while passing those gazes with a familiar look.
"Can I ask you something, are you Gil?
"... suddenly what?
In response to Lik's question, Gil looked at the three in turn, showing a slight color of vigilance, without affirmation or denial.
At least as far as Gil remembered, it was natural to be vigilant as an adventurer, as he was the first person to meet.
Lik, who had a favourable feeling towards Gil, who had not dealt with him from the beginning, called the clerk and ordered Yale.
Of course, it also contains Gil's share.
"I'm sorry about the fun. I'd love to hear your story. Can I have a lot of food for now?
For adventurers, drinking in front of each other is the same as asking for information.
After finishing his adventurous greeting, Gil snorted.
"Sure, I'm Gil, but what the hell do you want to ask me? You're better at being an adventurer, aren't you?
Some of the adventurers around him looked surprised in Gil's dialogues.
That's true, and Gil is one of the best men in town.
You should be surprised because the Gil clearly said he was above himself.
Conscious of the surrounding situation, Lik continued his conversation without any particular concern.
"Regardless of my arm, I really want to hear your story.... you're the one who brought up the story about the forest freaks, right?
Gil, listening to the added dialogue of Lik, changed his complexion clearly.
Until then, I was in a position to listen in the middle of the conversation, but my gaze slowly turned towards Lik.
The look on his face, unlike before, clearly belonged to a war-torn adventurer.
"... did you finally move your upper body properly?"
"Unfortunately, it wasn't decided. At least we're just one adventurer."
In response to Gil's words, Lik shrugged his shoulders slightly.
Gil snorted his nose and gave it back to him.
"Still, I don't mind. At least it's getting out of our hands."
Rik, who understood the meaning of the word instantly, narrowed his eyes.
"... that much?
"Yeah, at least for us. Besides, it's the first time I've been an adventurer that the woods have become so abnormal."
Gil said that clearly, with a face reminiscent of the state of the forest.
Gil - to be precise, party members, including Gil, noticed a forest anomaly more than three months ago.
At first, I thought the monsters in the forest had lost their balance of power and changed the type of monsters that came out.
It's not that there has been no such abnormality before, so I thought it would be the same this time.
However, the anomaly will change further in a month.
Extremely few monsters can enter the forest to hunt.
In order to make some money, I had to go further into the woods.
Gil and the others thought that this would soon come to an end, but when it lasted for more than a month, it didn't seem like it was just weird.
That's why Gil used his position as the best rankholder in town to convey the forest anomaly to the country.
Gil, who talked about what he could do on the spot, provoked the Ale that Lik ordered.
As for the forest freaks, they are a matter of death and death for the adventurers operating in the town, so the other adventurers in the tavern were also interested in interacting with Lik and Gil at some point.
And Lik, who confirmed it, dared to wrap up a bright atmosphere so as to change the slightly heavier air.
I see. It was hard because of the poor earnings. "
"Hmm. No, not really. Anyway, it's completely unaffected when it comes to places without forests."
"Really?
"Oh, just as weird as it is in the woods, as usual?
Gil's words made Lick think.
Now Kari and Darya alternate between asking questions while Lik shows his troubled expression.
For example, have the types of monsters that come out of the forest changed?
Gil answered two rather detailed questions precisely.
That alone shows that Gil deserves to be called a leading adventurer.
When Kari and Darya saw the end of the one-way question-and-answer attack, Lik told them to close at the end.
"Thank you. That was very helpful."
I see. That's good. So... what do you think?
The nearby adventurers are already watching Lik breathe.
They already had one answer, including Gil.
It's just that we can't come to a definite conclusion about something we've never experienced before, not even a generation of senior adventurers.
Feeling his surrounding gaze, Lik replied, shrugging his shoulders, without even paying any attention to it.
"It's hard to give an answer to a boulder. And then we need to actually look at the scene."
The very obvious answer was that the air that had hitherto been stretched loosened slightly.
I see. No, that's true. "
Convinced and nodding, Gil decided to make a suggestion.
"I need to talk to you, but... no, can you come with us on our investigation?
"We? No, but are you sure?
Gil looked at Lick confused, convinced that he had the strength they couldn't do.
The gaze of Lik nodded naturally.
"I'd rather ask you for something good or bad. If there's an adventurer in the woods, that's all we need to investigate. However, if you will listen to us properly."
Gil nodded face to face to Lik, who told him that if he got in trouble, his feet might get tight.
"Oh, of course.... can I talk to my friends first?
"Of course. Come to the inn when you're done talking to your friends. We're staying at..."
"Oh, that inn. All right, I'll give you an answer by tomorrow."
Gil said that to Lik, knowing that the sooner he went into the investigation, the better.
In response, Lik nodded only once and left the tavern after properly accounting.
