Let's Manage The Tower

(5) Interaction at headquarters

After reporting to King Christoph, Lik headed to Crown Headquarters at his feet.

With a branch in King Smit's capital, there is no distance constraint to the HQ.

There is some constraint because it will move between other countries, but it is irrelevant for A-ranked Liku "Wolf of Fire".

After returning to HQ using the transfer gate, Rikki immediately made an appointment with the General Manager to visit Gazelan.

Moreover, the treatment is said to be urgent.

This rudeness is also the result of the importance attached to rank by the Crown Adventurers Division.

When they asked for a visit at the reception, they were waiting in a different room as if they had an appointment.

Still, it seems Gazelan's ears heard that it was urgent, and in a hurry, he entered the room where the Rikers were waiting.

"Oops, it's unusual for you to contact me in an emergency. What the hell happened? Surely you were investigating Smith, right?

Gazelane got down to business as soon as he got up to the point without wasting his greetings.

Besides, by the time I got to the room, I was even looking into the requests that the Rikers were making.

"Ah, that's the result, but you did a great job."

"Ha... I wish you hadn't hit me. It's troublesome to deal with."

Gazelan sighed heavily at Lik's reply.

Like the Central Continent, if the organization is rooted throughout the continent, we can deal with the monsters in bulk, but we have to deal with them individually if they are just dotted with branches like other continents.

In that case, disasters such as flooding can only be dealt with inadequately.

And no matter how much the Crown works together to deal with it, it won't be effective unless it's aligned across countries.

For this reason, it is very important to respond to countries where flooding is likely to occur.

... but in countries on the continent where flooding rarely occurs, it is only opaque whether or not they are aware of it.

Gazelan, who was scratching his head, turned his gaze towards the Likuds.

"So, what do you guys do?

"I don't think so. In the meantime, the request is over. And then we'll find out if there's another request..."

"How can you forgive me?

Gazelan smiled loudly at Lik's words, and Lik's faces were all bitter.

"Ah, I knew it would happen."

"Of course. I'm involved in the corner, so I'll let you stay until the end. Well, if you don't know it and want to be in the safe zone, that's different."

To Gazelan, who dared to provoke him, Lik remained faceless... but the other members were not silent.

"We can't possibly escape," Eddie says, and Angel returns, "yes," and even Guéréon nods to those words.

The women did not say anything, but I was able to fully understand what they wanted to say with their faces.

Lik wanted to say that you guys were on board here, but he didn't want to say anything, because it really seemed like he was going to run away.

Instead, I sighed and looked at Gazelan.

"... let's do it."

"I see. What you need is a companion."

In reply to Lik, Gazelan replied with a smile.

After a playful exchange, I began to discuss the content of the investigation in earnest.

Even so, we can only talk about the Smith kingdom because it's the only mountains we've looked into.

"... I see. Then we still need to investigate the entire mountain range."

Lik nodded at Gazelan's words.

"Oh, and on a wide scale.... after all, King Christoph said he would work for another country..."

"You don't know how much you listen to me properly, do you?"

At least countries with Crown branches have a relative sense of crisis over monsters, so they will listen to Christoph.

However, in other countries, floods and other events are unlikely to occur, which could result in high volumes.

It seems unbelievable given the frequent flooding in the Central Continent, but unfortunately, in other continents, that is the more normal reaction.

In fact, when setting up branches, some countries complained that they needed organizations that could move across countries, but the reaction was slow... rather, some countries even got ridiculous laughter.

Even though there is so much evidence, there is a recognition that even if floods actually occur, they rarely come out to the area where people live.

In fact, there were several cases where the crown had spontaneously extinguished a fire where it had anticipated a flood.

In that sense, people still don't know much about flooding.

Everyone sighed at the conversation between Lik and Gazelan, but that didn't change the situation.

We will have to deal with ourselves as a flood.

Besides, it's hard to imagine that there will be no flooding because there are so many situations.

"There may be multiple leader species, so it's not unlikely that we have each other, but I'm concerned that the forest was too quiet."

Gazelan nodded convincingly when Lik said so, sharing his thoughts.

"Then it's impossible to fight each other. Or is there a fight going on somewhere else in the mountains..."

After all, we don't know much about not looking at the entire mountain range.

Gazelan made a decision because he had no choice but to anticipate and move on.

"I can't help it. Anyway, I want you to go investigate somewhere else."

"Well, I guess so. What else are we gonna do? Maybe we won't make it?

"I know. Naturally, I send it in from an empty party.... as far as I'm concerned, it's better to have a good searcher."

As far as we can hear from the Riks, it is possible that things are already going so far beyond the reach of C rank.

Well, there's little point in conducting an investigation.

However, Rik waited for Gazelan's words.

"No, so we can figure out how far it's spreading?

"Oh, I see. Sure, that's true."

Currently, the exact scale of the flood is not well understood.

Even if the searcher's arm is slightly down, it's possible to find out how much of it has spread.

Gazelan sighed several times on this day when the policy of what to do was decided.

"Oh, my God, it's a hell of a expense."

Apart from our clients' requests, the investigation we are about to conduct will be entirely an expense from the Crown, as there is no original client.

It may be possible to recover it later as an investigation fee, but the extent to which it will come back is unknown.

"It's not much to do with the merchant division anyway.

"Well, yes.... no, if the whole crown thinks about it, it's going to cost!

I almost got deceived by Lick for a second (?) Gazelan noticed the request on the way.

If a flood occurs, it will also be related to transportation in the merchant sector, so you can pull money out in the name of investigation costs.

However, if you think of it as "Crown", it will certainly be a big expense.

Lik, who had expected Schmidt to have a head, thought like other HR about how much damage it would cause.
