Let's Manage The Tower
Truth of gossip
Scott, the Duke of Cardigan, received the report about two months after hearing from the examiner.
"Oh, you're faster than I thought."
When Scott unexpectedly murmured, the reporter looked suspicious.
Originally, it seemed strange to come up with documents, but because it was spreading all over the city so rapidly, it was judged that early measures were necessary and it was a direct report.
The face says, "How does the Duke know about the rumors of the town?"
When Scott realized it, he made a fool of himself and laughed.
I see. There are rumors like that in the city. So... what do you want me to do?
The reporter, questioned by the lord, responded with a little haste.
"Yes, no. The town is making noise because of rumors. Some of them move around trying to find out the truth... If I could, I'd have a petition from a soldier to look into."
Apparently, the rapporteur was coming to Scott to find out if the Lord's army should be used to verify this.
The understandable Scott sighed inside.
In the first place, Scott probably knows more about the stores that are rumoured than anyone else in town.
Therefore, it was also understood that there was no need to investigate until soldiers were moved deliberately.
But that's why it's a problem as a politician to leave things as they are.
Speaking of which...
"Are those who are moving to verify the truth doing anything imprudent? For example, there's an injured person..."
It is also the role of the landlord to ensure that residents are not unjustly injured by the noise that has occurred in the town.
Scott's ability as a politician will be questioned if the atmosphere in the city gets worse as a result.
"Yes, no. That noise... So far, the adventurers are looking around where the entrance to the shop is said to have been found."
When Scott heard the report, he had a consolation look on his face.
Because if it's that noisy, it's okay to leave it alone.
"If no sacrifice has been made to the people of the town, it will not be enough to move on purpose. You can leave it there."
"Eh...!? Ah, hah..."
The rapporteur looked sad at Scott's decision.
Scott, who noticed it, sighed in his heart as if he wanted to know the veracity of the rumor.
Of course, that's not Scott's face.
Another intruder appeared as I tried to tell him to step back.
"Chi, Father! Look!!
It was my beloved daughter's wrench who lifted up the object in her right hand.
Scott frowned when he saw something like an elongated stick in his daughter's hand.
"Lenka, what is that?
"I just bought it in a strange store! What a whistle that can inspire a distant obedient!
"Hmm, what!?
Surprised by Lenka's words, Scott suddenly stood up from his chair.
Scott had never seen or heard of such a magical device.
It's so unusual that Scott doesn't know that he boasts to be a monster maniac.
It was Scott who tried to explode joy in the pleasure of his daughter, but here I recalled what she said again.
"... yeah? Strange shop? Where on earth did you buy it?
No wonder Lenka's answer exceeded expectations when she went out to the city and thought she'd been caught in the bad stuff.
"When I was playing with the wolves in the garden, a strange cloth suddenly appeared in front of me! It's a shop just ahead of me."
Scott and the rapporteur heard Lenka say it at the same time.
What a timely story.
Meanwhile, Scott was in a hurry in another sense.
I heard some outline of what kind of shop it would be from the examiner, but I didn't think an entrance would appear in my home garden.
"I see. So, what did the store look like?
Asked about his father (Scott), Lenka leaned her head.
"I've never seen the assortment before, but I don't think there's anything particularly strange about it."
"I see. Very well."
Scott nodded fortunately to Lenka.
Normally speaking, just the entrance to the store that appears and disappears doesn't sound suspicious, but Lenka didn't seem very surprised.
Even then, there's a hunch that it's going to be big.
Anyway, for Scott, he decided to use the words of his daughter in the corner and turned his attention to the rapporteur.
"That's what my daughter says. As long as there is no actual damage, it will be fine. We don't need to investigate if anything happens."
"... I was afraid."
The rapporteur nodded with a very unfortunate look at the Lord's decision again.
Of course, Scott knew his face was deliberate, but he told him to ignore it and leave.
And Lenka, who was watching, looked at Scott with her neck tilted.
"Did you say anything extra?
"No. Rather, you did well."
Lenka looks at his father with an increasingly strange look on Scott's face as he waves his head.
Scott did not answer it and decided to ask his daughter (Lenka) what she was more concerned about earlier.
"Rather, what does that whistle do? Did you hear what I said?
Scott also knows that Lenka is not just a kid who is recommended by a clerk to buy things.
By the way, I know by whom that shop was set up.
As a result, Scott, who had no idea that he had been pressed against strange objects, turned his gaze towards the whistle that Lenka had.
A little bitter in Scott's gaze, Lenka began to talk about the effects of the whistle she had acquired.
Normally, if there is a subordinate in the immediate vicinity, you can usually make him hear what he says with just a voice.
Rather, if you can't do it, it's not strange to say that you are immature as a monster.
For this reason, the whistle is a magical instrument to be used when you are far away, so that the obedient servant cannot give instructions with his voice.
An early story is a whistle that has the same effect as a dog whistle.
In fact, Lenka has already tested whether it can be used by wolves, and its effects have been demonstrated.
So Scott, who heard from Lenka, seemed a little excited and saw Lenka.
"But maybe even if I blow..."
"Unfortunately, that's impossible. One of the maids blew it for me, but I couldn't move it at all."
When Lenka said so quickly, Scott looked disappointed.
Scott used to give up owning a slime, but he didn't give up becoming a monster.
After listening to Lenka, Scott returned to normal business.
And one day, a few days after Lenka entered the shop, I was somehow walking around the garden with Lenne, and when I found a suspicious entrance, I was surprised by the boulders.
When I entered the store thinking it was impossible, I was even more surprised to see what was being sold.
