Let's Manage The Tower
(8) Slime Hunting
All fifteen speed malls were hunted until Nana was somewhat satisfied.
I didn't think it would be too much for Nana, but this is what happened because I was having lunch breaks along the way and wondering if I could hunt alone.
Incidentally, it wasn't the Kaiseki who gave the instructions, but Nana and the others started playing on their own.
I had already hunted what I needed for the request, so I didn't stop thinking about what Nana and the others were doing, but I watched her relax.
In addition, Sylvia said she had come up with some new exploratory magic and was testing its effects.
The exploratory magic of finding certain monsters can only be used against monsters that have been caught or hunted once, but it is not limited to the underground air, so it was likely to be a very useful magic.
In the case of speed malls, it is Sylvia's valves that pose the challenge of how to get out of there and onto the ground, as they can only be found.
This time there were Nana and there was nothing wrong with that area, and the Speed Mall I found when I used magic could be dealt with.
I went back to town like that - I was trying to study, but I encountered an event on the way.
It was Florian who first noticed.
"... Mmm? Isn't that zero?
That's what Florian meant, a small figure walking along the walls surrounding the town.
"Yeah? Is that true? What are you doing?
After all, the person - Zero - walks along the wall, looking at the ground.
Depending on what you see, it doesn't look depressing, but even outside the walls, you wouldn't do that.
The face-to-face examiners started walking in the direction of zero, as shown.
The walls had gates to the north and south, but the archaeologists were walking east.
I didn't think Zero was walking around like this for nothing, but I thought I'd have to make sure what I was doing.
As an adult's responsibility.
As I approached a certain distance, I also noticed the zero boulders, and waited until the examiners stopped by.
"What are you guys doing here?
Apparently Zero was aware that the examiners had met at the Tamer Guild yesterday.
I was relieved to be a brother, not an uncle, but that's not the problem.
"No, no, that's my dialogue. What were you doing here? By the way, we're on our way home."
While saying so, Kaiseki showed the tail, which is the knockout site of the speed mall.
Zero, who saw it, came to see Kaiseki to shine his eyes somehow.
"Wow!? Is that Speedmall's tail? I saw it for the first time. Awesome!"
I saw at first glance that it was the tail of the Speed Mall, but I shook my head after telling him that I should not lose to the momentum.
"It's cool, so don't try to fool me."
When Kaiseki said so, he shrugged his shoulders without saying that it was zero.
Looking at that, he consciously tried to distract himself from the story, and Kaiseki made a deliberate and harsh expression.
Whether it was worth it or not, Zero started talking reluctantly.
"I didn't do anything weird. I've been talking to the Knights of the Gatekeepers..."
"Yeah, so?
Zero sighed deliberately at the study aid, which took the attitude that he would not be deceived until he heard a proper answer.
"... there's a lot of slime next to these gates because it's easy to hide. So hunt it and make a penny."
After listening to the zero explanation, Kaiseki became a little jiotong face and soon became convinced.
Ah, I see.
The explanation now convinced me that Zero was reluctant to say anything.
As Zero says, basically the weak slime prefers to live somewhere in the corner.
Next to the walls, monsters are destroyed as soon as they get closer, making it surprisingly an ideal environment for the slime.
Nevertheless, the slime also makes strange holes in the walls of the castle, so it must be a vermin.
For that reason, it is routinely exterminated, but zero is hunting the slime for the gap.
No matter how weak they are, monsters are monsters.
If you take a lot of nuclei that are proof of crusade, it will be quite a sum of money.
A pile of dust becomes a mountain.
For Zero, a child who is not yet allowed to leave the castle walls without a guardian, it would be a dressy place to earn money.
Even though it's outside by the walls, it seemed to have proper permission from the gatekeepers.
If you think so hard and act, I don't intend to say it quickly.
"If you've got permission, it's fine. Rather, maybe it's time to lift it up.
"What? Whoa, whoa! Already at this hour!? The knight's grandmother is mad at me!
You've been looking at the ground for a long time and you haven't noticed it. Zero, who checked the position of the sun, shouted surprisingly.
And as I panicked, "Oniisan, thank you! And then I started running north.
It was early enough for the examiner to have no time to speak up.
Sylvia giggled towards the examiner who dropped off Zero with a slightly dazed look.
That was a lot of early work.
"Mm-hmm. Surprisingly, if you're surprised, you'll miss the peach area.
That's what Floria told me to take a ride with Sylvia.
"I realized I was going to say that without stopping at all."
If the examiners were together, there would have been some spills, but I didn't have time to say such a thing.
"Well, anyway..."
Sylvia and Floria nodded simultaneously as Kaiseki looked at the direction where Zero was running away.
Good to see you again.
"Mm-hmm. One of the goddesses did a good trick."
"Either way... if I were to do this intentionally, I could only think of that god?
Florian's thoughts were inadvertently chaotic.
I've only met with Kaiseki directly on this occasion, but I can still imagine which god I think of when I look at my face.
The main cause of this was the information from the examiners, pretending that they dared not know each other.
Regardless of the joke, Kaiseki looked around and murmured.
"My eyes aren't bad... but I think I've been doing a lot of things in town for this minute."
"Yeah? Really?
"Do you think the children who have gone out to negotiate with the gatekeeper are not working in a town where they can hunt safely?
In response to the inquiry of the examiner, Floria looked at Silvia and shook her head.
"No. I don't think so."
"Right?... so at least your knowledge of the zero slime means that those adults have lost face?
Is that so?
In that regard, Florian did not differ.
Slime's vandalism of the walls is knowledge that can't be imagined unless he belongs to the army or is in a related department.
Rather, it's too obvious to be there, and I don't think it's going to be such a problem.
Kaiseki, who unexpectedly met Zero on his return from the hunt, finally came up with something here.
