The next day, as I waited in the Circular Arena, co-located in the Adventurers Guild, the Hults came to take the promotion exam.
Looking close again, everyone seemed stronger than me.
If you're an adventurer for a long time, you'll be able to instantly determine if the person you confront is more qualified than you are.
I'm a senior knight at level 92, but I felt more like everyone else than me.
A pretty girl with blue hair, named Luna.
This kid seems to be the weakest of Hurt's people, but if we still fight one-on-one, I won't be able to beat her.
I'm kidding because I'm taking their promotion exams.
The enemy who fights in the Moose promotion exam is Slime.
If it's the Hults, it's over with instant killing.
I don't care who did the exam director, because the results won't change.
─ ─ I thought so.
Something incredible happened in front of me.
The Hults lost the slime.
All of them.
Everyone was either knocked down by the slime or held captive.
I couldn't believe it.
─ ─ ─ ─
The first Yoko party to attack Slime seemed to give it a pretty strong offense, but all of that didn't work for Slime.
So, then, suddenly, the slime disappeared.
─ No, I traveled super fast enough to look like I disappeared, took the back of the yolks, and instantly restrained everyone at the party.
I managed to capture the slime in my sight from around the back of the yolks because I watched the whole thing a little further away to see what the exam looked like.
If they move at that speed in front of me, I can't help but lose sight of them.
What slime... could you move so fast?
At least I've never seen a slime move that fast.
Events continue to amaze me after this.
Luke's party went into battle mode this time in an attempt to help the bound Yoko party.
Before those Lukes, a different slime stood than holding the yolks.
This slime sucked too.
Whatever, Luke unleashed a class of lightning magic I'd never seen before, but even with it, it was flat out.
Luke was screaming 'Ultima Thunder'.
If it's not my mistake, it's the finest magic in the lightning system. I also wondered why a guy who had just become an adventurer could use such magic, but more than that, the slime that endured that magic was too unusual.
Later, after a guy named Lucin got beat up by a bump in the slime, he had his buddies recover before turning half of his body into a dragon.
Maybe he's a race called Dragonoids.
I've traveled around the world too, but I've never met a dragonoid. That's how rare a race is.
By the way, they say dragonoids are so strong. Whatever S-rank - I mean, it's mixed up with dragons, the most powerful demon.
Luke and his party members had granted such a dragonoid lucin something of auxiliary magic.
Lucin, who became a half-man and a half dragon, wrapped around bees and glowing thunder, wind and light.
It was cool.
He seemed so strong.
That's how Lucin...
Easily defeated.
I was about to storm the slime in front of me, and another slime stretched out my tentacles and tangled me in Lucin's leg.
Lusin, who dived from face to floor at high speed, looked amazing and painful.
But this broke the structure when one party dealt with the whole slime.
The Hults we've been watching have also been in battle.
The battle from there...
I don't know what to say.
I've already fucked up. I'm done with a word.
Dimensions are different.
It was like a demon king and a brave man were fighting.
Neither the demon king nor the brave man, I've never seen... well, there was an unusual battle going on right in front of me.
For once, I'm an exam supervisor, so if a rookie is about to suck, I'm obliged to help.
Obviously, it was a bad situation.
But... to me, it's annoying.
You can't stop me from fighting the Demon King and the Brave!?
Well, I don't even know what it means to be here and I'm fine.
Only the magical aftermath that Hart unleashed toward Slime, I think, will wipe me out of this world.
Yet I was safe.
The circular arena has also been barely destroyed except on the floor.
The cause was immediately known.
When the explosion magic unleashed by a woman called Citri was activated, I saw a huge transparent dome around where the Hults were fighting.
A "magic barrier", possibly activated by a few senior magicians, was put up at some point.
I'm on the outside of that dome, so I was safe.
Of course, I don't know anything about this.
There is no way that the Apostles belonging to our guild can put up a magical barrier that finally covers the interior and perfectly encloses the aftermath of the surviving battle in this world, which is transparent enough to recognize its shape and yet is taking place internally.
Even the A-Class Adventurers, the Alliance's highest power, will not be able to do this.
Me and the Circular Arena, the Adventurer's Guild by my side here, and this country called Glendale, were protected at some point thanks to the magical barriers they put up.
If it weren't for this...
Maybe Glendale was doomed.
There was a battle going on right in front of me.
All I could do was bypass.
Praying for the Hults to win.
The fighting gradually grew in intensity, with several major explosions.
When the smoke clears...
The Hults were down.
All Yoko and Citri's parties were bound by the tentacles of Slime.
