Life in Another World as a Maid Mage
23 Introduction Tour to the Adventurers' Association of Showroom and Reception Ladies
Welcome to Adventurers Guild Tris! This is the first time you have been here. Is this a request? Or are you an adventurer?... well, I see. You want to apply when you reach the age of registrability. May I confirm the procedure today? Yes, of course, if there's anything I'd like to ask you, I'll explain it to the best of my ability.
I. About the Adventurers' Association (Alliance)
An adventurer-specific private organization with branches throughout the Alphandis continent. The Kingdom of Stridia, the country of origin of the founders of the guild, has its headquarters and is registered by many adventurers.
The main tasks are to crush beasts, protect civilians, rescue disasters, and maintain local security. However, these tasks are essentially not spontaneous, as they are the work of the Knights. It is contracted in the form of a request from the client.
In addition to this, we also conduct surveys of ruins and labyrinths in the surrounding area. Of course, there are many people who do not receive requests from unions (guilds) to explore them personally, such as collecting artifacts and beast materials.
II. Conditions for membership of a union (guild)
To apply as an adventurer, you must be sixteen years old - the age of majority for Stridia. There is no upper limit to the age of registration, but many people are registered by about 30 years of age.
Incidentally, not many people register at the same time as they turn sixteen. It's personal, but at least in the Tris branch, I think more people will be adventurers through other professions.... well, in life-threatening professions, compensation and allowances are much less than those of the Knights. Unfortunately, many people choose this path in this way.
I don't care about identity, race, nationality, or gender. You must meet the reference point in a written exam or interview in order to participate formally.
Proof of identity...?... I can't say it out loud, but it's like I don't have proof of identity. Unlike the nobles of the royal family, there are many cases where birth records are not properly taken from the city well, so the investigation cannot be completed at this time. Many people are registered under false identities and names due to the convenience of their homes. Yes, yes... Rumor has it that there are quite a few aristocrats. Some of you have spoken publicly yourself.
III. Adventurer Registration Examination
As I mentioned earlier, you will need to meet the reference points in your written exams and interviews.
That said, it's not that difficult. The written exam determines whether you have common knowledge as an adult and whether you can calculate the minimum required reading and writing. Also, in the interview exam, we look at interpersonal skills - whether or not they are good people. Because you may interact directly with your client, those with extreme interpersonal skills will be dropped in this exam.
You can retake the test as many times as you like, so don't worry if you miss the reference point. There are many people who are not good at reading, writing and calculating, and even though it is easy for unions (guilds), I am here to help you study.
Yes, about three years ago, some people passed because they did not understand the language of this country at all.
Yeah, that's right. It depends on your own efforts.
IV. Post-registration occupation
While it's almost up to you to choose a profession after you register, many of you already have one before you register. This is particularly the case for specialist technicians in the rear guard - pharmacists, archaeologists, therapists, etc.
Some of them are called yeast hunters. This person is a bakery, but they have registered as an adventurer to harvest the yeast necessary for bread fermentation. Bread made from yeast collected from the honey floral floral floral fabric of the Fibrian native forest was delicious enough to make your cheeks fall off... oh, it's a bakery in the neighborhood of the union (guild).
Well, if you already have a track record of activities in that profession, but if you don't have a track record, it is difficult for you to choose a profession that is extremely unsuitable, so after checking your suitability for what profession by looking at your physical abilities in magic exploration, etc., it will take the form of listening to your own wishes.
By the way, you're... oh, Mr. Toby. What profession would Toby like?
A swordsman. A swordsman will see the right thing to do with an adventurer of an advanced rank. After you replace the current master, the swordsman will look at you. Yeah, that's right! Former S-Class Zack Siel. Fufu, are you looking forward to it? Well, please look forward to it. He is very kind and good.
V. About adventurer levels and ranks
Adventurers are ranked by level and rank.
Simply put, the level is an easy way to quantify how much experience you have as an adventurer. At the end of the quest, magic exploration measures the rise of each stat, and the experience value is added by that number. If the experience value exceeds a certain value, it increases by one level. Any trivial request will definitely be some kind of experience, so the numbers will go up somewhat.
However, it is the rank that will actually be important as we move forward. The range of requests that can be consigned is set according to the rank.
Ranks are S, A, B, C, D, E in higher order. This is a regular assessment that takes into account personality, merit, contribution, etc. So, just because you have a high level doesn't mean you can get a high rank.
Due to the high level of difficulty and nomination requests, some adventurers dare to decline more than a certain level of rank at their own convenience. There are many cases of married people and small children. Because many people want to have enough income to care for their lives and live. It's up to each individual to make their own decisions.
Some of you have refused to be promoted to S-Class in order to make your client's request a top priority. Well, this may be a pretty special case.
VI. Request
Requests come from a variety of people. Nobles and civilians are rare, but there are also requests from the Knights. Of course, there are requests from adventurers. When I went to the main headquarters of Wang Dynasty, it seemed that there were requests from officials working at the royal palace.
Uh, royal favor? Hmm... I haven't heard much about it, but in that case it might be a personal request not to go through a union (guild) or a top-secret request to an S-class adventurer...
Well, basically, it takes the form of a request through a union (guild), but you can also receive a request personally. Some people prefer to get a personal request because they don't get a commission from a union (guild) and it doesn't matter how difficult it is. However, it is all your responsibility, so I don't recommend it very much while you're unfamiliar with it.
The request details are also varied. Starting with searching for lost and lost objects and herbal picking, there are also cases where you are looking for beast crusades, gathering beast materials, escorting travellers, or accompanying you on a personal expedition. When it comes to rare things, there are some kinds of condolences for orphanages. You know what? Ah, Mr. Toby, from the orphanage... well, you know that.
Well, Clemens and Alec's act!? I wanted to see that too!
... hah!? Thank you very much. I'm so excited... Yes, those two are very popular with women. It's that dressy thing. When I was younger, it seemed that a lot of women were approaching me. However, I've never heard such a rumor about dating a specific woman before, and it seems like people who are rather lazy about women's relationships, and now it seems like they're sending a hot gaze to the far wind...
Mr Clements is gentlemanly rejected, but the woman who called him Alec seemed obviously disgusted. She doesn't like to be treated like that because she has bad memories.
Mr. Zach? Zach... is certainly a lovely person, but what do you say? He's a bracon guy... who takes too good care of you and makes the impression of oniisan stronger than a love target... She said she had a younger brother, but I think it's probably her original personality.
VII. Difficulty of Request
Huh!? I'm sorry, you're out of line again.
Uh, the difficulty of the request. Difficulties are classified as S, A, B, C, D, E, and the trusted range is basically the same as or less than your Adventurer Rank. Yeah, well, for example, if you're a C-class adventurer, the fiduciary range of requests is C, D, E.
However, depending on the request, it may be difficult for you to come alone or to have a party with more than one person, so you will have to consult with a union (guild) to entrust it.
You may then exceptionally be able to accept requests beyond the scope of the consignment. If it is determined that the overall talent of the party exceeds the rank, you will be able to request a higher rank. However... there are a lot of rewards and experience, so some people would like to entrust it with an exception, but it seems that there are not many cases where it is accepted. Even if you don't have enough physical talent, it's a different question of whether you can solve it. It looks like most of the cases apply when there aren't enough adventurers in that rank.
Viii. remuneration
Rewards are determined on a per request basis and are paid directly at the reception counter at the end of the request. Please be assured that the union (guild) will negotiate directly with the client to ensure that the rewards are not extremely low for the difficulty of the request.
The amount of money you can actually receive will be divided by the number of people at the party, so naturally the smaller the number of people, the greater the share. However, even if a small number of people are forced to entrust it, if the rate of fulfillment of the request - how far have the results sought by the client been achieved - is poor, the compensation amount will naturally decrease, so I think it is better to think carefully about this point and entrust it.
Instead of looking at the reward amount at the beginning, you might want to choose whether or not you can complete the achievement rate. The union (guild) will help you around here, so you don't have to worry.
IX. About the Working Party
A party? You know, the people we work with. Some parties may be short-term, while others may be fixed parties that act together for a longer period of time.
The higher the number of people, the higher the completion rate of the request, but of course many people are acting solo. The guild does not particularly recommend or disagree, so it is up to the individual to decide whether or not to party.
If you'd like to recruit a fellow, you can use the guild board to find a party that meets your criteria. Most beginners have a fixed party. Of course, a lot of people work at fixed parties for a long time, but that's right... from over thirty years old, a lot of people get dissolved temporarily.
What? Why?
Well, simply getting married makes it difficult to stay away for a long period of time, or because it makes it more difficult to act together for a long period of time by becoming an advanced rank and increasing the number of individual requests. Is it because of this age that more people retire for physical reasons? In this case, it is more likely to take the form of basically working solo and partying temporarily with the original member if necessary.
However, when it comes to class B and A, there are many people who are better able to have a party without any problems. Maybe it's not a fixed party at all.
... eh? Yes, that's a good question.
Beyond level B... there are many requests from extremely difficult people and high nobles. Failure equals death are quite a lot of requests, and even if it affects the trust relationship with a highly qualified client due to poor handling, it is troublesome. People who have a lot of trouble, change their attitude depending on the other person, or build relationships that have a negative impact on such work can't rise above level B. Humanity, as well as talent, is very important. Even if there is someone you don't like, there are only people who can handle adults without ever touching the surface.
Unfortunately, there are many people who have mistakenly become enthusiastic about raising their level or ranking.
X. Emergency Evacuation Act for Adventurers
Well, you should study hard. Are you seriously considering joining a union (guild)?
I didn't know you knew about the Adventurer Emergency Evacuation Act... Many union (guild) members are unaware of the system, and are usually almost unaware of it. Even in situations where it is necessary to apply this… there are not many people who can actually do it.
Yeah, that's right. If your life is in danger during an adventure, leaving the wounded unattended can be illegal. That's the system. The casualties include not only party companions, but also those in need of rescue and escort. You don't want to kill yourself to save someone else's life. You know why?
However, as I mentioned earlier, when you actually encounter that scene, there are not many people who can really abandon their friends and escape.
In fact, as far as I know, there are only three cases in the country where casualties have been abandoned and escaped under this emergency evacuation law. Of these, two cases were legally applicable after rigorous investigation.
--Eh? The other thing...?
This is a case... the disposition is on hold... to be clear, it's a grey case that is close to black indefinitely.
What's that supposed to mean? I mean... even though the rescue was possible enough, I was suspected of having intentionally abandoned it.
There were many opinions that it might be difficult to apply the Emergency Evacuation Law based on the situation of the wounded who were miraculously rescued and the testimonies of related parties, but there was no witness information and it was impossible to verify on site, and the testimony of the party that it was a situation that had to be abandoned and evacuated could not be disproved.
Huh? Well... yes, as you can imagine... this is an embarrassing story, but it happened at the Tris branch very recently. At that time, it became quite noisy, so I think there are many people who know about it.
The party was partnering with union (guild) officials to receive rewards and commission fraud. The injured adventurer was also a victim of the fraud. Because it was the end of the incident, there is still a deep-rooted opinion that it was a mouth seal.
"--Looks like you're talking about something interesting... but I'm not impressed that your mouth is too light."
.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. Good work. Yes. Sorry, sorry. I'll be careful afterwards, yes, yes...
Oh, I'm scared... I'm surprised... I'm sorry, Toby. I've shown you something ugly. Yes, please come and visit me again. I think it would be helpful to have a tour and hear from the adventurers.
--We look forward to welcoming you again!
