Life with a Tail

44 There can be quite a few unpleasant events at the end of the day.

In order to return to the Mages tomorrow, I shall first say hello to the Commander of the Regiment.

Walking down the hall towards the room, I went to Jeff on my way to see him.

"Oh, you princesses. I haven't seen it lately, but did something happen?

"Yeah, I was getting a little longer rest"

"I was getting some rest with Natsuki, too. Jeff's no different?

"It doesn't make any difference, but I've been sent everywhere. Go back, go again. It's a repeat. I'm still back from the crime scene."

That, well, looks tough. It goes to all the guards, the knights, the sorcerers, but besides simple control and military work, it also turns around disaster management and rescue work.

Or rather than come around, do you feel like you're serving concurrently because there's no such thing as a rescue squad?

So, if it's a massive disaster or something, it feels like a large number of Knights, if it's small, it feels like a small circle of wise magicians. The guards do fine work such as directing evacuations.

Naturally, there's no such thing as a massive problem, so mostly you talk to the Mages.

Because of that circumstance, there are quite a few members like Jeff who go everywhere and go back and repeat.

"Good day. We'll all go for a drink when we get settled."

"I'm looking forward to that, and I don't mind, but when did you learn to drink?

"Hehe, a while ago"

I had a drink with Phil and the others before and then started drinking a little bit. Buying a bottle and drinking in the room with Ruti can be one of my recent pleasures.

See you later, and I broke up with Jeff and went to the captain's room. When I entered the room because I heard back when I knocked, Mr. Nella was with me.

"It's been a long time since both the captain and Mr. Nella have. Thank you for your rest."

"Thanks from me too. Thanks to you, I'm feeling better."

"Looks like you're both feeling better. You don't have to worry about it."

"Please be gentle."

I can't complain because I got it done well, and the two of us answer that with a bitter smile.

"By the way, why is Mr. Nella here? Isn't it usually time to train?

"Actually, there has been progress on the robbery we investigated with Mr. Natsuki. So I was talking to the captain."

We were talking about thieves then. I wonder if I'm supposed to go crusading in the Mages......

"At first, I tried to deal with it in the Mages, but I also thought it might be hard on the number of people, and I put the thief thing on the agenda at the time of the meeting. As far as I'm concerned, I'd like to ask the Knights to deal with it.... but we ended up going for a lot of reasons."

Ugh, I didn't want you to hit it.

"But what are all the reasons?

"In short, it means the Knights' plans weren't open."

I wanted to leave it to a large number of Knights as a captain, so it seemed to stick a lot. But for a long time, the Knights had plans to exterminate super-long and massive warcraft and demons that were difficult to deal with in the union.

Since that appointment was well known at a meeting most of the time ago, the captain also asked for that with his knowledge, but he told you that he could no longer reconstitute the troops because some of them were already on an expedition to exterminate them?

"But then, don't you have a hand in having the Knights go when they get back?

"That makes the bandit crusade about summer ago. It's just as damaging to leave it that far, but it's not as decent as it sounds."

I mean before summer...... not for another six months or so. Surely if you leave it so much, you'll talk about what the country is doing.

"So, well, we decided to form a crusade, but it's not like we're free. Because I still have everyone flying all over me. That's why I was packing plans with you right now, Nella."

"I see. So when is it going to be?

"That's the least we can do. It's going to be about Spring, even if we handle high-priority projects and start getting ready soon."

Spring ahead...... even though we can move faster than the Knights, we'll get rid of the low-priority cases, so we're pretty full of them.

"Besides, leave some rookies and veterans. Otherwise, they're all in the crusade. Still, I can't stay alert because it's only about twice as good as a thief."

In all, the Mages are less than one hundred and fifty. There is a big difference because there are about a thousand Knights.

This is because the conditions for Mages to join the club are magically good, and that's what's pulling my leg. There is no surprise that the conditions of the Knights are comparable to those of a healthy person who can circulate magic. Even if you can circulate magic, magic doesn't always work.

From time to time, the captain is sighing that he can't help excavating and securing talent.

"Does newbie mean we should stay together?

"Unfortunately, it won't. Both of you, especially Ruti, are better at handling magic than a nasty veteran. I'm not in the rookie frame."

I had predictions. Training is something we're the only veterans can do.

"That's where we are for now. I'll get back to you when I get the details, Nella, so encourage me to train until then."

Copy that.

I heard something nasty about you returning tomorrow. Anyway, let's do some training to avoid getting hurt or something.
