Limitless Dream

[001] Slavery and Monarchy

The king dreamed of becoming a slave.

He lived as a slave for decades and considered his life as natural. While dreaming, the king was only a slave and even forgot that he was the original king.

Decades of dreaming, but little time in reality.

I saw the king wake up from his dream.

Luxurious golden bedroom, loyal worshippers on their knees, high priests praying for their own well-being.

“Your Majesty, dreams are a false curse that deceives you. Please overcome.”

The king suddenly thought.

Are you dreaming of a slave becoming a king or a king becoming a slave?

Which is the dream or the reality?

“Mr. Han Seo-jin, what does the hospital say? ”

As he stood on his line in his work clothes, he asked as a colleague on the side line walks by.

“The results are only available to me. ”

“Don't worry too much. Everything's gonna be fine. There are many early misunderstandings about cancer. Cancer at such a young age as Han Seo-jin. ”

Even though my colleague in her 40s told me not to worry, Han Seo-jin couldn't agree with me.

I remembered the doctor's eyes, which were not very good looking.

"Hmm……. Once we have the final results of the biopsy, let's talk again.

I asked him several times about the ominous feeling, but the doctor said that there were no final results.

Han Seo-jin looked down at his chest rather than working busy on the assembly line. The doctor's expression does not leave my mind. I felt more heartbreaking than usual.

What if it's really cancer? ’

Everything was dark in my imagination.

His house was poor, and his parents divorced when he was young. He and his sister and two siblings grew up relying on the funding to support their mothers.

As soon as he graduated from high school, he took a job in the semiconductor plant production line. He worked three shifts hard for four years and saved up quite a bit of money. It may not be much for others, but it was a lot of money he could not even imagine.

Last year, however, she withdrew all of his savings and went underground. He ran away with a man he met in a restaurant.

‘Idiot, why did you give your mom the full salary? I told you to take care of the money yourself. ’

I was sorry to think of my sister who was crying. I felt frustrated that the mother abandoned her children more than money.

My mother still hasn't heard from me. I got rid of the number and hung up completely. I didn't even know where I lived, even if I was alive.

Han Seo-jin stared at the fair line.

Tons of products that move on conveyor belts. Employees who are engaged in their respective process work at a given location. Among them, he included himself.

Working hours.

No grumbling about Mother, no worrying about the disease, and now it was time to give up.

“Get up. Lunch is over. ”

Seojin opened his eyes with a tapping hand next to him.

“Mr. Han Seo-jin, he sleeps whenever he has a chance. I lost a lot of weight. Don't you feel sick? Why don't you go to the hospital? ”

He smiles awkwardly, worrying about his colleague. He doesn't know that he's already been to the hospital or that he's been tested for cancer.

“I know. I've been really tired lately. If you stay awake for a while, you'll wake up. ”

“That's all chronic fatigue. Take some vitamins or something. Don't you know the younger you are, the more you have to take care of yourself? ”

“Thank you."

“Let's go inside. ”

Han Seo-jin raised Booth's body. My head fluttered in the little sunshine. I took a honey-like nap, but my headache wasn't that warm.

‘This headache... ’

Han Seo-jin frowned.

This headache has nothing to do with cancer. I didn't do a brain tumor.

After the lunch shift, Seojin was put back into the process line. I stood in the designated position and repeatedly performed the designated tasks.

Some of my colleagues felt bored and conflicted, saying it was just repetition of work. But Seojin loved this job. Compared to the childhood stained with poverty, it was a blessing to be able to work and eat with my own strength.

‘The test results are tomorrow. ’

It's gonna be okay.

Han Seo-jin soothed himself and was faithful to the part of the giant cog called the factory.

After three shifts, it was time to go home. Some of your closest associates have left for a drink.

Han Seo-jin did not join the group. When he returned home, he entered the bathroom to wash.

When I looked in the mirror, I saw a thin face compared to a few months ago. He grimaces and comes out of the bath.

I had a simple dinner, but it was tasteless. He forcefully opens a few spoons and lies on his back.

‘It's going to be okay. It's going to be okay... ’

Recalling to himself, he asked me to sleep.

When I open my eyes, I see a dazzling chandelier.

The king raises his head, blinking his eyes and looking around. You can see the beautiful women wearing thin silk slips and carrying wine on a silver platter. The women hurriedly bowed to the king before they could even make eye contact.

“What the hell is this place……. ”

I feel a headache that might break my head. I was confused by my dreams and reality. A myriad of words were floating around in my head.

Renozian, South Korea. Han Seo-jin. Arthur. Slave. Noble king. Dream. Curse. And a traitor.

Who is Seojin Han and where is this place? Who am I and where am I...?

“Your Majesty, you're awake. ”

I rushed to my senses as if a cold water had been poured into the servant's voice. The memories that were messing with my head quickly returned to their place.

At that moment, the king realized.

What is a dream, what is reality.

The king opened his mouth as he calmly stared at the kneeling Grand Wizard, a loyal old man.

“Is this the third time……. How long was Jim asleep this time? ”

The maid, naked and bronzed, politely replied next to her.

“Four hours, Your Majesty. ”

“Unfortunately, I failed again. ”

The king grumbled.

“In my dreams, Jim didn't realize anything. I never realized who I was, what my name was, and that it was all a dream. ”

“The curse is very powerful. It's hard to move your dreams however you want. It's best to hold on for now. ”

A month in a dream is an hour in reality. In the dream, he is not the king, but the fictional Han Seo-jin. There is nothing more humble in life than a slave controlled by a king.

The king mutters as if to himself.

“Curse... It's been a year. ”

I quickly ducked at the old man's waist to see if he accepted the blame.

“I beg your pardon, Your Majesty. Because of the incompetent power of the Sausans…… they will definitely find a way to risk everything they have and break the curse! ”

“I'm not blaming you. ”

The king shakes his head quietly.

When I woke up, the confusion that had eroded my mind disappeared as if I had already washed away. The king remembered everything clearly in his dreams, but was no longer confused with reality.

“How is the Karshrai doing? Are you still trapped inside the territory? ”

“Your Majesty.”

The old man lifts his stiff face and heavily raises his horse.

“Once a royal wife, now a true traitor. It is against the law just to keep the family in the territory without destroying it. ”

“ ……. ”

“You can't be weak anymore. The petition of the people to punish Karshrai by destroying him is piercing the sky. Please make a decision. ”

The king smiled bitterly.

Earl Karshrai, a prominent emissary of queens, once beloved by many.

They were branded as rebellious families within a day, and had been confined to the territory for a year.

The old man whispered in a loud voice like boiling iron.

“How dare you show mercy to those traitors who cast an ancient curse on you. ”
