Link the Orc

6 Continuing Dreams

I left the Craftsman's Tent.

Glug.

There's a sound coming from the boat. I'm hungry. I haven't eaten since yesterday's battle. If you had brought a human corpse, you could have eaten in the middle, but it was important to give your father-in-law at least a little more ingredients than to eat. The most important thing for Orcs is weapons, tools for combat.

“Brother, where is the food? ”

“A hundred paces that way. Brother.”

“Got it.”

I don't say thank you for letting me know. As I said before, saying thank you to the Orcs means I owe you one. That's not an easy thing to say.

Walking about 80 paces past the tent that had been slammed with heat, I saw 10 large tents full of bugs. Given that there are 10 tents for storing food, Woodlock's compartment is not that big. Comparing the number of food tents to the size of this section, aside from the females and their offspring, would it be 1,000 to 2,000 if only the number of warriors came in? To stay above it, you need to have more food tents and larger areas.

Seven of the ten tents were wide open and only one and a half were open. The other two were closed, one of which had dark red blood smeared on the door.

When the door is wide open, it means that there is no food; when the door is half open, it means that it is currently in use; when the door is closed, it means that it is full; and when the door is blooded, it means that it is food for females and young.

You entered the tent you were using. There were dozens of brothers who had roughly laid out their food on the floor and had come and eaten separately first. I looked at the food. What I like is the front legs of a big horned noose. The front legs of the big horned silkworm hovering between the rock and the rock are densely packed with firm muscles.

I feel tough enough to feel hard, but I like the feeling that eating it makes me feel stronger.

I've looked all over, but nothing. In fact, I did not expect much. Animal Meat is a fine crop, so it's hard to go hunting on your own or to see it unless the hunting party has just returned.

I sat in an empty seat and picked up a human forearm. It seems to have a slightly rotten and refined aroma. I slashed my mouth to the bone. Soft human meat seems to be eaten only by eating the bones.

By the way, what happened to the 300 human bodies you left behind? One of the brothers with him must have told someone in the neighborhood, right? I'm gonna go tell him after dinner just in case.

With 300 human corpses, we should be able to fill a tent. So, except for females and young food tents, the remaining food tents are two and a half. You think that'll hold for 10 days?

We may soon leave hunting on a large scale or begin combat. I think it's better the fighting side. Caroc loves war. If you want to get even the slightest glimpse of him, it's better to go to war with your life than to chase animals.

“A brother I've never seen. ”

As I turned my head to the voice coming from behind, I saw a sizable brother. Like me... or bigger? I don't know, not exactly.

“Are you one of the brothers who came today? ”

“Yes, brother. ”

I wear an axe about the same size as the one I used to wear on my back. Warriors with dual axes. Significant signs of combat remain throughout the body. Especially handsome. Your lower lip is split in half and your left ear is missing. In my head, I saw a long cut across the crown. By Caroc's side when you got that scar.

A strong warrior. A strong and respectable warrior. Traces of his size and battle prove it.

“Then you must be the brother Caroc blessed." ”

Most of the Orcs he said were eating were staring at me.

Looks like the brother who came with me spoke. If I had told you that I was blessed by Caroc, I would have told you where the human body is. You don't have to go there alone.

“That's right."

Now all the Orcs in the tent gave me their attention. It is not too burdensome to look at. Rather, I'm proud. Being blessed by Caroc meant I was brave enough to take it in battle. The brotherly gaze is a compliment of such bravery.

“Kekh...”

He sat down beside me with a cheerful smile.

“A great warrior has joined our ranks. Welcome. I am Woodlock the Great Warrior. ”

Unlike the detailed ranks of Humans, the rank of Orcs is simple. There are only three positions for Orcs. Chief, chief, great warrior.

The chief underlies these three levels. The chief comes first and comes from the chief, the chief and the great warrior.

Orcs follow large, strong Orcs. The bigger and stronger the Orcs, the more warriors they follow and the more females gather for their protection. After a while, the wanderer stops and settles down. I heard that the standard is close to 1,000, but it's not accurate.

The Grand Chief is the title he calls when the number of warriors he follows exceeds 10,000. It is rare for a chieftain to purely gather 10,000 Orc Warriors, and it is made by bringing in several other chiefs.

The Great Warrior is the best warrior appointed by the chiefs. With 500 chosen, there should be two to three great warriors in Woodlock's army.

“I am Graccar. ”

Woodlock sticks out his forearm, and I strike hard as well. It was thumping, and I felt some pain, but neither he nor I pulled my forearm back.

“Kekh. Kekh. Keh-heh-heh-heh. I felt it when I saw the big one, but it's really strong. Gräkkar.”

“So are you. ”

He and I checked each other's strengths, and we could see that they were not touching each other. I'm glad I didn't get pushed away by greeting the Great Warrior. If it were me before I was blessed, I would have at least suffered a cracked bone injury.

After the joy of not being pushed by the Great Warrior, the instant desire worked like a greased fire. I want to fight him. Fighting with the strong is joy and joy.

“Kekh... I see you feel the same way. But be patient. The battle with the Humans will begin soon. If either of you or I fall out of that battle, the other brothers will be as hurt. ”

Woodlock chews on the human shin. Seeing that the food tent was empty, I thought I'd be hunting or fighting soon, but I guess I chose battle. Obviously that's a good thing. Fighting can get you more than hunting.

Human corpses, human supplies, and a fight to the death. Everyone likes Orc Warriors because they're more likely to get Caroc's attention if they're fighting for their lives.

“When?”

“Soon."

Soon... Then we leave in five days.

“Don't leave without me. ”

“Of course. It would be foolish not to take a warrior like you on the battlefield. ”

Orc journeys are just a matter of getting together and leaving from a vacancy in the middle of Appendix, so you may not be able to join if you don't hear from them. To avoid that, most of the warriors are gathered primarily around the void, and so am I, but perhaps the time I eat overlaps with the time Woodlock collects warriors.

“Woodlock, I'm thrilled to be coming with you. ”

You can guess how strong it is by looking at the traces engraved on his size and body. At least not weaker than me. Of course, I don't intend to lose a fight, but if it's an objective strength, he'll outrank me. How joyful and fierce a battle can be when such a warrior can't be on the battlefield easily. I'm already excited.

“Kehhhh. You'll have fun enough. My father will fight this battle, not me. ”

“Father?”

“Woodlock is my father. ”

I see. Woodlock's father was the chieftain of this district, given his similar name, I'm more than happy to say. A battle for the chief himself. Perhaps most of the warriors in this district will. We'll be fighting thousands of humans.

The larger the battle, the more likely Caroc is to observe.

“Of course. I'll see you when you run into combat. Brother."

“Got it, brother. ”

Woodlock leaves after dinner. Perhaps he was going to the strong warriors himself to tell them about the battle before the great battle. Chief Woodlock would have ordered it. To keep strong warriors from falling into battle. The more powerful warriors you follow, the greater your dignity as chief. The number of Orcs who want to settle down will increase.

Starting today, we'll have to live near the vacant lot. Woodlock promised to take me, but the Orcs are not a delicate species who keep their promises.

Orc warriors have gathered around the void to see if rumors have already spread. It only looks roughly 7-800. This should be more than 1,000 actual trips.

“Khhh...”

I smiled at the anticipation of the battle to come.

* * *

Three days passed and I stayed around the park, except for mealtime once a day. I'm not the only one. Many brothers did not leave the area. There were some brothers who slept outside the tent due to lack of dragonflies.

When brothers and sisters were gathered here like now, they would be able to take the beautiful females by themselves if they went to the female residence, but no brothers left the park. They all feel the same way. He doesn't want to miss the battle by himself. You'll have more fun fighting than mating with females.

The three days of waiting were not boring. There were many brothers who felt my strength and talked to me, and I was able to spend time listening to many things from them, such as local politics and combat stories.

The void was loud by the brothers gathered today, but it was quiet for a moment. The gaze of all the Orcs is on one side. There were three Orcs walking towards the void. One of them is an Orc I know. The Great Warrior Woodlock. One of the other two Orcs appears to be a great warrior, about the size of the Woodlock.

And the other orc... has two heads bigger than Woodlock.

Chief Woodlock.

It must be him. The three Orcs stand in the middle of a clearing. The silence subsides for a moment and you hear a great shout that shakes the void as you break the silence.

“I am Woodlock, chief of this district! ”

The wait is over.
