127. Talk to Elena 3

"So here's what we talked about earlier: Mr. Mendez has been transported to the guild. It was terrible, but we're safe."

Yua was a little nervous when Mendez came out, but she was horrified to learn that Mendez was safe. It's amazing how you can be worried about what you've done so badly... And I thought that.

"Mr. Zeros told me that Mr. Lena gave you first aid, right?

"Well..."

For once, I did first aid, but I was letting him taste the pain while threatening him... I suppose if I did that to her, I'd think she'd be tortured? Well, I don't care.

"I hear you fixed your broken leg, burned your chopped arm, and stopped the bleeding."

I nodded because what Elena asked me was certainly something I had done.

"A good judgment and an infirmary representative said. She seemed to be bleeding quite a bit, but thanks to proper treatment, she seemed safe."

"Really..."

Well, there's some things Youre asked me to do, but I need her to make amends for what she's done, right? Well, it looks like she has some kind of punishment, and she'll be made to pay for her treatment or something...

With that said, Elena said she had two stories to tell, so I asked her what the other story would be.

"Mr. Elena, what's the other story?

"That's about the forest anomaly."

With that being said, the request I was receiving was a request to investigate something about a forest anomaly, so is that a notice about that? But in your last story, did you say that next time you would close your request for an investigation and move to the next stage?

"Mr. Lena had sent out a request for an investigation to look into it. So I think the last time we talked about it, we talked about moving the investigation to the next stage. As soon as we got the report, we've got an oak case, and we have an urgent field investigation and an oak crusade request for high-ranking adventurers."

Hmm? Maybe the reason I met Mr. Zeros......

"I'm sure there were some Lena and the others, but you met Mr. Zeros, didn't you?

That's what they asked us, so we nodded.

"I left Mr. Mendez with my guild, and then I asked him to investigate the woods, and he said that after the oak incident, things had changed in the woods, and he was back as usual."

"Huh?"

Does that mean the forest anomaly was caused by orcs?... Even if so, I don't know what the original condition was because I feel like there's been that anomaly since I came to this city, but does that mean there were a lot of goblins around here who came running away by oak?

"Sounds like the oak influenced things in the woods, but I don't know how the oak got here and affected it. But that seems to be the end of the forest anomalies around the city."

"But the fact that a lot of goblins were around here by the fact that Oak came this way, didn't mean there was some anomaly in the woods, too?

"That could be possible. But we did some research around the city to make sure there were no abnormalities. So I don't think it's a problem for you to hunt as usual, but don't go too far behind the woods. That said, I don't think there's much to worry about as it's a place to stay..."

"But isn't that a problem behind the woods?

"It will. So it will depend on the results because we have sent out a survey request to those above the D-rank. But I think this neighborhood is going to be pretty much the same."

I see. It seems that this problem has subsided around the city. But did it take the form of an investigation because there might be something behind the woods?

With that in mind, I talked to Elena for a while before making the request I had. The guild card I gave him at that time came back ranked E. I was a little surprised when I received it Yur, but I looked very happy. Then I broke up with Mr. Elena and left the guild behind.
