52. Unexpected Events

The next morning, I woke up with some noise.

"Hmm? Oh, speaking of which, did you stay at Mr. Elena's house?

Seemed to be awake already because I wasn't there to see where Elena was sleeping with that in mind. Was the sound of the earlier thing Mr. Elena? and Elena was cooking dinner when she dressed and went to the next room thinking about it.

"Ah, good morning, Lena"

"Morning."

"Sit in your chair and wait because you're almost ready for dinner?

"Yes, sir"

When I finished eating the dish that I was able to do so with Elena, I changed into warm clothes and walked to the place where I said I would carry my luggage and the carriage would leave.

Following Mr. Elena came a short distance from the West Gate. There were about ten carriages lined up there.

"Here, there must be a carriage to the village of Coccolo. I'll look for you, so just wait a minute."

When Elena said so, she spoke to the owner of the carriage who was staying nearby. Then I talked to some of them and they came back but they looked slightly darker.

"Is there something wrong?

"That's what I was told, there are no carriages to the village of Coccolo"

"Huh?"

Before this, Elena said there was a carriage from this city to the village of Coccolo, right? What do you mean?

"Well, I was told about a month ago that I haven't been out since the road to the village of Coccolo stopped going due to heavy snow. Sometimes I went to check it out, and yesterday I was told that the carriage was so packed that I didn't think I would leave today."

Does that mean the village of Coccolo is now in isolation? That was also for a month......

"Doesn't that taste bad? Like food..."

"I think that's probably okay. Every year, when I lived there was no trouble because I was preparing for the winter.... Oh, but I don't know because I haven't been back to the village lately..."

When Mr. Elena lived there, she seemed a little anxious not to have any trouble, but she didn't know what was going on in the village here these days. Well, if I lived in isolation for a month, I'd be anxious. But we're going to head to the village of Coccolo. What are we going to do? Looks like you can't travel in a carriage, and you're walking towards it?

"So how do you get to the village of Coccolo?

"If you don't have a carriage, will you walk... But it might be a little suspicious if we get there in a day, okay?

"Yes."

"Thank you. We'll do a little shopping in the city before we leave, okay? Just in case, I want to take a lot of food."

So we went back to the square and bought some food. I have some food that I originally had, so I bought more that Elena was likely to be able to store on the road and for her family for a long time. Even if I said more, I would just go in the bag I have with my backpack, but I also decided to walk around and leave the bag in my item box.

"Lena, we're all set, so shall we leave?

"Yes."

That's how we left Linfred for the village of Coccolo.
