Chapter 1675: You Are Not a Netherworld Clan Member
Qin Yi thought about it and still felt uneasy, so he decided to leave the little white cat.
"Can you keep an eye on these three people for me?"
"Meow..." The little white cat rubbed against Qin Yi’s hand.
"Good kitty!"
Qin Yi left the little white cat behind and went to find the Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy.
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy had his own separate courtyard.
"Why are you here?"
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy looked surprised to see Qin Yi.
"I missed you, came to see you."
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy rolled his eyes and then sneered, "I thought you found those three people and already left with them."
Qin Yi’s eyes narrowed slightly, "What do you mean?"
"Your purpose in coming here was for those three people. I guess there are two possibilities. First, you want to claim those three for yourself, after all, their identities are not simple, and they are top materials for making puppets."
"Second, you already know them and came here to rescue them."
"Actually, there’s another possibility."
Qin Yi asked curiously, "What possibility?"
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy stared at Qin Yi and said, word by word, "You are not a member of the Netherworld Clan."
Qin Yi felt a jolt inside, but his demeanor did not change, and he smiled, "What makes you say that?"
"As a member of the Netherworld Clan, you have no sense of belonging to the clan. Also, you killed a Netherworld Envoy without a hint of mercy; if you were truly a Black Saint Netherworld Envoy, you should know that he is the weakest among the Netherworld Kings, and your actions would bring him great trouble. But you clearly have no such concern."
Qin Yi’s lips curled slightly upward, "Your analysis is quite thorough, and your words are incisive, but... it’s all nonsense."
"Whether or not it’s nonsense, you know in your heart. Rest assured, even if you’re not a member of the Netherworld Clan, I won’t do anything to you."
Qin Yi teased, "You wouldn’t be falling for me, would you?"
"I like women." The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy said seriously, "The reason I won’t do anything to you is because I don’t have the ability."
"Knowing one’s limitations is a commendable trait, but such an obvious truth is rarely understood by people."
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy frowned, "Your compliments sound like insults, I really don’t understand how there could be such an annoying person like you in the world, speaking in such a sarcastic tone."
"You are ambivalent yourself, yet you won’t allow me to speak sarcastically?"
"You..." The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy’s face darkened, impatiently saying, "Why did you come to see me? If it’s nothing, you can go, don’t bother me."
"Hey, don’t forget, you owe me some wine."
"I won’t renege on my debt."
"Alright! Actually, I came to find you for another matter."
"What is it?"
Qin Yi smiled, "The antidote for Netherworld Liquid."
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy stared at Qin Yi, stared him down, and suddenly said, "It seems I guessed right, you’re indeed not a member of the Netherworld Clan."
"What makes you say that?"
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy sneered, "Netherworld Liquid is something all Netherworld Clan members carry when they go out. You don’t have any of it, yet you’re claiming to be a member of the clan."
"You truly have guts, not only impersonating a Netherworld Envoy but also daring to kill one."
Qin Yi shrugged, "It’s unavoidable, you forced me into it."
"You’ve admitted?"
Qin Yi nodded, "That’s right, I’m not a member of the Netherworld Clan! Those three are my friends, and I came to the Nether Sea to rescue them."
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy said solemnly, "Do you realize what you’ve just admitted to? If I shout it out, every race in the Nether Sea will hunt you down."
Qin Yi laughed, "You won’t do that."
"What makes you so sure?"
"Because you’re smarter than the other Netherworld Envoys."
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy sighed helplessly, "So-called smarts are only because of a lack of strength. If I had the ability to defeat you, things wouldn’t be like this."
"Knowing when to act is true wisdom, unlike those earlier bugs who think they’re capable despite having no skill."
Qin Yi smiled and reached out his hand, "Then I’ll leave it to Little Red."
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy pulled out a small black bottle, "It’s worth five jars of Hundred Herbs Wine."
Qin Yi asked curiously, "Why not eight jars?"
"With your personality, you wouldn’t agree, because you have the skill to take it. If you were to make a move, you wouldn’t even get to cancel out one jar. People shouldn’t be too greedy."
Qin Yi laughed, "Little Red, you’re something! Deal."
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy tossed the black bottle to Qin Yi, "Remember, just one drop, not too much. Also, keep the antidote a secret."
"Understood!" Qin Yi made an OK gesture.
"One last question."
Qin Yi said, "Go ahead."
"What’s your name?"
"Qin Yi."
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy nodded.
"Why aren’t you reacting at all?" Qin Yi asked curiously.
"Why should I react?"
Qin Yi slapped his forehead and chuckled bitterly, "Almost forgot, you were already on the ship when I boarded. So, you definitely don’t know about me killing the Sea City Lord Jin Nu and those two Netherworld Clan people."
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy opened his mouth but then shook his head and said, "Take care! I hope you live until I finish brewing Hundred Herbs Wine."
"Don’t worry, I’m careful with my life, won’t die, I’m off!"
Qin Yi turned and left.
The Red Lotus Netherworld Envoy watched Qin Yi leave, sighed slightly, and muttered, "The Netherworld Clan may be in trouble this time."
...
...
Qin Yi returned to the room where Lang Ya and the others were detained.
The little white cat saw Qin Yi and darted into his arms, affectionately cuddling.
Qin Yi petted its smooth fur, then put it down and administered the antidote to the three, channeling energy to dissolve it.
Not long after, the three slowly opened their eyes one after another.
"Qin Yi?"
Yun Mengyao saw Qin Yi sitting by the bed and was suddenly stunned.
"Are you a human or a ghost?"
Qin Yi’s face darkened, this woman was really annoying, cursing him as soon as she spoke.
"I’m a ghost, we’re all in Hell right now."
Yun Mengyao looked at the sunlight coming through the window, then slowly reached out her hand, seized the soft flesh at Qin Yi’s waist, and twisted hard.
"Ouch..."
Qin Yi jumped from the pain.
"Ghosts can feel pain?"
"Wouldn’t it hurt to be pinched by a ghost?" Qin Yi said irritably.
Yun Mengyao struggled to sit up, "Qin Yi, come and help me, I have no strength at all."
Qin Yi sneered, "Stop pretending, I just channeled energy to nourish your bodies."
"Where are we now?"
Yin Qianqian had woken up earlier and finally found a chance to speak.
As for Lang Ya, he’d already gotten up, expressionless, pretending to be cool. Actually, Qin Yi knew this guy was using it to cover his embarrassment, such a strong person being captured was humiliating.
Qin Yi said, "Nether Sea, Wufeng City."
Yin Qianqian was shocked, "We’re already at the Nether Sea?"
Qin Yi nodded slightly.
Yin Qianqian smiled wryly, "Seems we slept for quite a while."
