Chapter 259: Back to the Academy

Solomon sat in his chair, confused as to why his name was included on a strict recall list meant exclusively for royals and nobles. ’They might just be recalling me to the academy to discuss my broken owl and issue a replacement,’ he assumed.

The others also told him the same thing since it was in the rule that in case of destruction of the owl, the student must immediately report it to their house head and give a written request for the new owl.

He hadn’t expected the administrative order to arrive so soon. A part of him wanted to enjoy his total privacy and freedom for a little longer, but he also genuinely missed his chat and their daily, ridiculous banters.

After finishing his breakfast, Solomon returned to his VIP room. He grabbed the glowing winter serpent rubies and the Heavenly Demon’s leather diary, stuffing them securely into his deep pockets.

He walked down to the central courtyard and lazed around near the stone fountain, waiting for his friends to arrive. As time passed, dozens of noble disciples gathered in the plaza, turning the quiet morning into a bustling scene of frantic packing.

Maximus arrived first. The Vanguard student carried his bronze shield strapped to his back alongside a heavy travel bag. Arthur hurried over a few minutes later, holding several thick scrolls and various restorative consumables in his hands. He didn’t carry a bag, clearly prioritizing study materials over spare clothes.

Elizabeth walked into the courtyard next. She only carried her rapier and a small, elegant silk purse slung over her shoulder.

Solomon stared at her for a few seconds.

Elizabeth noticed his intense gaze and frowned. "What happened? Why are you staring at me?"

"It just feels weird," Solomon responded, gesturing toward her waist. "Seeing someone have a delicate little purse hanging on one side and a sword strapped to the other is a very strange aesthetic."

Marco was the last one to arrive. Unlike the others, he walked into the plaza completely empty-handed. The Azure Dragon Sect was essentially Marco’s second home as his family ran the pavilions, so he had no need to pack or bring anything back with him.

A short while later, they activated the spatial portal at the sect gates. The recalled students filed through the glowing blue vortex one by one.

On the other side of the portal, they emerged onto the familiar grounds of the Live Streaming Academy. Several professors were already lined up, efficiently organizing the returning students based on their academic years.

The respective House Heads were also present, separating the students into their designated dormitories.

A senior professor stepped up to a wooden podium to address the crowd.

"Since the escalating danger in the Eastern Realms has temporarily suspended your Martial World practical classes, you will all transition immediately to standard academy lectures," the professor announced. "You must dedicate this time to becoming well-versed in combat theories, magical principles, and inter-dimensional history. We will also be covering modern tactical logistics, magical beast anatomy, and advanced survival strategies."

The professor tapped a glowing crystal on the podium. "Due to this sudden schedule shift, we are formally moving the mandatory theory exams ahead of schedule. You must utilize every single day to study."

The administrative speech continued for another twenty minutes, outlining the new academic structure and campus curfews. Finally, the students were dismissed and ordered to return to their dormitories to await further instructions regarding their newly assigned class schedules.

Marco immediately split off, heading toward the second-year residential wing. Elizabeth walked away toward the designated girls’ dormitories, while the rest of the noble students scattered to their respective houses.

Only Solomon and Arthur remained. Since they shared the exact room in House Nova, they began their walk back to the novice dorms.

Once they reached their room, Arthur immediately collapsed onto his mattress, letting out an exhauste sigh.

"The Eastern Realms were beautiful, but their daily schedule was far too strict and punctual," Arthur complained, tossing his thick scrolls onto the nearby desk. "There was no free time. It was just an endless cycle of training, quick eating, and exhausted sleeping every single day."

Solomon blinked in genuine confusion. "That is exactly what makes it so great. Why would you not want that? Training until your muscles burn feels incredible, and eating a meal after training feels even better. Passing out on a bed after getting completely exhausted is literally the best feeling in the world."

Arthur pushed his spectacles up his nose and groaned. "Doing the same repetitive drills again and again is incredibly boring. There were no fun activities to break up the monotony. You actually got to travel to a different kingdom, fight in an underground arena, and have fun. We just swung wooden sticks at the air."

"I got to fight a crazy, regenerating snow serpent," Solomon reminisced, a wide smile stretching across his face. "My trip was absolutely worth it. I just wish I could fight someone that strong every single day."

Arthur glanced down at his floating blue interface and chuckled. "Your fans in my chat are currently calling you out. They are making fun of you and calling you a battle maniac."

"Write their usernames down for me," Solomon instructed casually. "I will deal with them later."

Arthur laughed and looked back at his screen. "They immediately started apologizing."

A few minutes later, a sharp knock echoed from their wooden door.

"I will take it." Arthur got up to check the hallway.

A female staff member stood in the corridor, holding a glowing crystal tablet. She informed them that the Grandmaster had officially requested Solomon’s presence in his office.

Solomon let out a tired sigh and stood up from his bed. He looked at the telekinetic boy. "Do not slack off just because there are no pavilion instructors here screaming at you to train. You should still practice your basic forms daily, and you need to train harder than you did the previous day."

After delivering the strict advice, Solomon left the dorm room.

Arthur watched him leave the room and close the door.

"Why is he talking as if we are not going to see each other again?"

Solomon navigated the corridors of the administration wing, eventually reaching the oak doors of the Grandmaster’s office.

He knocked twice.

"Come in," a calm voice responded from inside.
