Chapter 350: Issue with the Live Stream

"That is impossible," the Grandmaster argued, pointing at the boy’s uniform. "Solomon was officially promoted to a second-year student last week. I personally signed his promotion papers and authorized his VIP status."

"While it is true that Solomon is now officially a second-year student in the administrative logs," the lead technician explained patiently, "his broadcasting profile is missing from the active network node. He is stuck in limbo."

"Normally, when a student graduates from first year to second year, or from second to third, both of their owls are present for the data transfer. Was his personal data manually synced or transferred from his first-year bronze owl when this new second-year silver owl was issued?"

"My first-year owl was destroyed during a mission," Solomon answered from the couch.

The technician closed his glowing tablet with a loud, annoyed snap, clearly irritated by the administrative oversight. "Then that is the problem. We cannot simply boot up a brand new silver owl without an active data tether."

"We will need to issue him a brand new, replacement first-year bronze owl first. Then, we must manually extract his archived data from the cloud, sync it to the bronze owl, and then transfer that stabilized data directly into his new second-year silver owl."

"Then you should do that immediately," the Grandmaster ordered. "Hurry."

"We will try our best, Grandmaster," the lead technician replied, adjusting his glasses. "But it will take a minimum of one week to complete the process. That is the strict, unalterable cooldown period for issuing a replacement broadcasting drone, especially since Solomon literally just received this silver owl today."

"I cannot wait an entire week," Solomon protested, standing up from the couch. "I have to return to the Eastern Realms as soon as possible to continue my training classes."

"There is nothing we can do about that," the technician stated firmly. "That is a foundational, hard-coded law of the Live Streaming Academy’s broadcasting network. Not even the Grandmaster himself can bypass the system’s cooldown timer."

The Grandmaster nodded in reluctant understanding, backing down from the argument. "He is right, Solomon. The foundational laws of the academy cannot be broken or bypassed by anyone."

After taking the necessary requisition paperwork signed by the Grandmaster, the two technicians bowed respectfully and left the office.

Solomon let out a long, frustrated sigh. "What am I supposed to do in the meantime, then? Just sit around my dorm room for a week?"

"How about taking some of the mandatory second-year theory classes?" the Grandmaster suggested brightly. "Or perhaps you could go to the grand academy library? You could read ancient books, do some extensive research on dungeon mechanics, and gain valuable theoretical knowledge. Expanding your mind is just as necessary as swinging a sword."

Solomon respected the academic suggestions, but he immediately shook his head. "Since I have already firmly made up my mind to focus on my martial training, I will not be able to rest well or sit still in a quiet library unless I am training, fighting, or doing something physically exhausting."

’Is this the effect of dragon’s spawn? Come to think of it, he has always been reckless and a battle maniac who likes to train and fight.’ The Grandmaster stroked his white beard, pondering the boy’s relentless drive. "How about taking on an academy mission, then?"

Solomon’s silver eyes instantly lit up. He grinned eagerly and nodded. "I agree. Let’s do that."

The Grandmaster tapped a glowing rune on his desk, pulling up a digital list of available assignments. "A fresh batch of sanctioned missions specifically scaled for second-year students was just issued this morning. You should take one of these."

Solomon felt a surge of excitement. This would be his very first official mission as a second-year disciple. It had been stated and verified multiple times throughout the academy that the difficulty spike between the first-year and second-year curriculums was a leap.

He was eager to test his strength against a legitimate, high-tier threat.

The Grandmaster scrolled through the list, selected a specific file, and handed the printed parchment across the desk.

Solomon eagerly took the paper and read the objective. His excited grin instantly vanished.

He stared at the parchment, read it a second time just to make sure he wasn’t hallucinating, and then looked flatly at the Grandmaster. "This is a mission to teach first-year students."

Solomon tossed the parchment back onto the mahogany desk. "This is not a suitable combat mission."

"Many other second-year students will also be undertaking this mission," the Grandmaster explained smoothly. "You will all be competing against each other’s teaching curriculums. The student whose class shows the most improvement at the end of the week will be declared the winner and will receive a bounty of fifty thousand academy points."

Solomon shrugged his shoulders dismissively. "I literally just cashed out over a million points. Even if I kept them on my account, I would be completely safe from the monthly fifty-thousand point quota for the next two years."

"That is where you are mistaken," the Grandmaster corrected, raising a finger. "The monthly point quota is strictly non-stackable. This was mentioned in the rulebook, which you didn’t read. You cannot hoard points to cover future months. You must actively generate the required quota every single month to maintain your enrollment. Furthermore, since you are officially a second-year student now, your required monthly quota has increased significantly."

Solomon still wasn’t convinced. "I am confident that my fans will give me absurd, high-paying live challenges and send gifts the exact second I return to my live stream. With their help, I can easily make the quota in a single day or even in a few hours. Of course, I am not bragging but fans are crazy."

"The current academic month officially ends this week," the Grandmaster pointed out, leaning back in his chair. "And you will not be getting your functional silver owl back for at least a week. You currently have no other way to earn those points."
