Living in this World with Cut & Paste

Episode 02: I've used my skills

I'm on my way home thinking about the skills I've been given.

There were about 10 passengers aboard the carriage we were in.

My house is outside the town of Lucas, about a half day's carriage from the king's capital where the temple is located.

It is a relatively nearby town from Wang Du, which has a population of about 1000, but has a lively flow of people, including adventurers.

"Well, let's use an appraisal"

Shaken by a carriage, I turn to appraise the magnificent adventurer in front of me and keep an eye on him.

Then there's information floating around the back of my brain.

Name: Keith

Race: Hume

Gender: Male

Age: 48

Occupation: Adventurer (Class C)

[Skills]

one-handed sword

Cleaning

Oh, you call me Mr. Keith?

What skills do you have… [one-handed sword] and [cleaning] ….

It's typical of a bad combination, right?

Fine, but the gap between [cleaning] and [cleaning] is sharp.

When I look at Mr. Keith as I think about cleaning, more information comes to mind.

[Cleaning]: Cleaning can be carried out efficiently, the more proficient you become, the cleaner you can clean.

Is it possible to examine in more detail the items of information that have been confirmed?

This is convenient inside.

Maybe [Appraisal/All] is why I can do this.

And among the information I just got was the word I was curious about.

Proficiency.

I don't see any item anywhere about proficiency, but from this word, the more I use my skills, the better my abilities.

Well, if that's the case, I'm sure the more appraisals you use, the more detailed information you'll be able to get.

If so, let's do more and more appraisals.

Anyway, I can't move out of the carriage for half a day.

[Cut and paste] is hard to try where people are.

With that in mind, appraise all 10 people in the carriage.

Up to 9 people had no particular problems......

However, the information obtained from the appraisal of the tenth man contained no tonnes.

Name: Gescalto

Race: Hume

Gender: Male

Age: 31

Occupation: Bandit

[Skills]

sewing

Dagger/Pole

Jun Foot (Small)

Oh, my God, he's a bandit!

Why is this in a ride carriage?!?

Besides, he has a [dagger/pole].

I mean quite a user.

Shit, that's bad. I'm sitting here meditating my eyes very hard right now, but I don't know when I'm gonna rumble out.

Several adventurers are on board, but if they are slashed by accident, they will die in disquiet.

What's his purpose?

The destination of this carriage is the town of Lucas, where I live.

Is it the town of Lucas that's trying to keep you company in the carriage?

Bandits are not allowed to enter the town because they have to undergo strict inspections.

I can't come up with the right answer no matter how much I think about it. No, I don't think so.

I'm the only one who knows he's dangerous right now.

I don't care if you tell someone, if you say that in a narrow carriage, it naturally sounds like him.

Is there any way?

How does he take out his dagger and do something about it before it bursts out......

In a hurry, there's no way I can make a freshly grown young man like myself.

That's what I think.

The best thing is to get home before he gets to town and doesn't notice.

But I have no idea if he's making a big deal out of it.

Even if we get to town safely, there's no guarantee that something will happen in town and I won't get involved.

Most importantly, there are other young people in the carriage who have just come of age, besides me.

Again, if you don't think of any solution, you're sure to say it's dangerous.

What can I do now?

When it comes to what I can do, I only have the skills I just got today.

Appraisals do help.

But I can't turn this situation upside down.

Then can't you manage to use another skill [cut and paste] well?

[Cut] cannot be used by creatures.

Even if you can use it, you can't attack someone who hasn't done anything yet.

If I told you, it would be me, not him.

In order not to harm them and render them powerless......

Well, let's [paste] his shoes on the floor.

That should prevent them from moving even if they act suddenly.

If you take off your shoes, you won't be able to do it soon.

And then you have a dagger on your hips.

Let's stick the sheath and body.

If anything happens, Mr. Keith and the adventurers can handle it.

All right, if that's what you decide, then act fast.

When I activated my skills, the successfully activated response came back into my brain.

It was the first time I used it, but I think I managed to use it.

Hmm... now I feel safe for once.

I just can't deal with it after I get to town if it stays like this.

Even if the shoes are attached, you can move around if you take them off, and you can buy a new dagger.

It's no more fundamental than not knowing if his purpose is this carriage or if it's in the town of Lucas.

This is all the grandeur in the carriage.

If the town of Lucas is what it's all about, I'm guessing the math stands inside.

Then there could be some damage to the town.

With the aim of preventing the immediate crisis, I was able to calm down a little.

And when I calmed down, I... came up with something terrible.
