Living in this World with Cut & Paste

Episode 12: I've Got An Alliance Card!

"Is your body okay now? Should I go to the guild counter if I'm okay? I'll issue a card there."

Aisha urged me to see how my body was doing, but there seemed to be no particular problem.

After all that damage, it's a treatment facility in the boulder guild, and I'm guessing there's an army of good therapists.

"Yes, it looks fine"

Seeing me get out of bed, Mr. Aisha walked out.

I see it and follow it in a hurry.

"Will you sit here?

I am led to a counter that is not the same place I was sitting in trouble, and I am allowed to sit in a chair as it is.

From the counter earlier, I was under the impression that it was a little further away and that it was something of a special place that was only independent here.

"Looks like it's not the same as the counter just now...?

Ask Mr. Aisha.

"Yeah, this is an adventure-only counter with a dedicated receptionist, so you don't have to line up like a regular counter."

Yeah, sure, you can get a smooth reception for this, I just feel pretty privileged about this.

Looking at the counters that were lining up until just now with that in mind, there were still quite a few people lining up.

"So will you fill out this paper? If you need a pen, just tell me and I'll write it."

"No, you can write it yourself"

I filled in my name, age, place of boarding house, etc. and confirmed it all the way and submitted it to Aisha.

He talked to me, checking the paperwork he received.

"Hey, Mine, you live at home... are you a hunter apprentice ~"

Looks like I finished checking the paperwork while I was hanging out with Mr. Aisha's public story for a while.

"Yeah, there's nothing particularly wrong with the paperwork, I'll wait and make the cards."

That said, Mr. Aisha disappeared into the back room with the paperwork in her hand.

"Oh, hey? You see... Aisha, didn't you become exclusive to that kid?

"Huh? Seriously? That's not in a boulder, is it? Whatever high ranking guy ever asked for, he didn't shake his head vertically, did he?

"But only a receptionist with an exclusive adventurer can handle it at that counter, right?

While waiting, I somehow listened to the conversations between the other adventurers and found out that Aisha was quite a popular receptionist.

Is it really a good idea to rush out like me... even though he pushed me off in person, I get so anxious.

… check your skills to calm your mind.

... Huh?

Yep, yep, yep, yep!!!?

Something's wrong!?

What is this LV!!!???? I've never heard that before!?

There's an unexplained number behind your skills, right?

I'm thrilled to reject you with the intention of calming my heart...

When I was upset about my suddenly changed appraisal results, Aisha came back after work.

"Oh? What funny face do you have? You look amazing, Mr. Mine!

... they laughed at me.

Very embarrassing. I'd love to come in if I had a hole.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, but this is gonna be your card."

That's what he said. He gave me a loess metal card edged with pink.

My name and the letter "F" are inscribed.

And for some reason it said "Lucas: Aisha" in the lower right corner of the card.

"The pink edge of the card indicates that there is a dedicated receptionist. Pink is my hobby, by the way."

Says Aisha.

The colours and materials of the cards are determined by the rank of the adventurer.

F is loess, E is yellow, D is gray, C is copper, B is silver, A is gold, S is black.

Materials from F to D appear to be bronze, C for copper, B for silver, A for gold, and S for platinum.

My rank is F, so the colour is a loess card.

The card also serves as an ID.

The citizenship cards I have are only valid in the Kingdom of Augusta, including this town of Lucas, but the guild cards are valid in the towns of basically every country.

They can use it even in rural towns where no guild exists.

That's a lot of trust, the Adventurer Guild.

Because of the level of trust so far, Hijord, who acted to shake that trust, was severely punished by the Alliance Commander.

Aisha strongly told me to be responsible for my actions because I would naturally be punished if I also acted to discredit the Alliance's trust.

"And then there's the apology money the guild chief said earlier in the infirmary, but I left it on this card."

"I put in" the apology money? What does that mean?

You must have noticed that you made a face that I didn't really understand. [M]

Aisha laughed nicely and explained to me.

"The Alliance provides the service of keeping money, and the money you deposit can be withdrawn by any Alliance in the world. The money you keep is on this card."

I see. So now this card has 20 gold coins on it that the guild leader said.

I would be very grateful if you would keep the money safe.

If I can buy some gear or something, I'll keep the excess.

"Then be sure to come to this counter without the receptionist, not the other counter when you take the request. So, if you plug your card in here, I'll be there! By the way, if you're going to a guild other than Lucas, of course, it's a general counter."

Exclusive receptionist, awesome.

I can't believe I got along with my beautiful sister and the processing of my guild went smoothly......

Well, other people envy you.

"By the way, if you get a crusade request, don't worry, the number of monsters you defeat will automatically be registered on this card"

Exactly because it's all over, this card.

What technology is it made of......

"So, this is the last time. If I lose my card, I can reissue it, but I have a commission, so be careful. The fees vary according to rank, but it costs one gold coin from F to B."

It's like an adventurer who used to lose his cards.

Well, it's hard inside to tell a greedy adventurer to manage such a small thing.

So, the measure the guild hit is the reissue fee, which seems to have dropped dramatically since we started this.

Well, it wouldn't have accumulated if they had lost a card with such amazing features.

I have to be careful not to lose it, too.

After all the explanations and procedures had been completed, I decided to thank Aisha and leave the guild behind.

Clear. Now I'm an adventurer too!
