Lord of Prayer

The Crystal Demons’ bodies were incredibly tough. A direct hit from an artillery shell only managed to create a few cracks in their forms.

A translucent figure appeared in the void. His features were indistinct, almost impossible to recall. The only thing that left an impression was his pair of azure eyes. They shone like brilliant stars in the night sky, seemingly capable of piercing right through to the Soul.

He spread his arms and reverently proclaimed, "—The glory of Eden Garden will eventually illuminate the mortal world!"

As soon as he finished speaking, several artillery shells flew in, tearing his projection to shreds before crashing straight into a horde of Crystal Demons.

An explosion of fire and light erupted. Countless Crystal Demons were sent flying, but they clambered back to their feet just a few seconds later. Under the constant bombardment, most of the Crystal Demons only suffered a few more cracks on their bodies. Only those directly at the epicenter of an explosion were dismembered or killed.

Artillery fire could no longer kill them easily!

The Crystal Demons also seemed to realize they wouldn’t die so easily. They let out excited roars and charged in hordes toward the distant army, like uncaged zombies.

Suddenly, space fluctuated violently. Dark, sinister Abyssal runes appeared, automatically arranging themselves into a black doorway that solidified in the air like a brand.

BOOM!

The doorway, built from the Abyssal Curse Technique, burst open. A dazzling, pale-white arc of light shot out from within, tearing straight through the wave of Crystal Demons. The flames it kicked up spread into a sea of fire in its wake, engulfing all the Crystal Demons in its path.

At the end of the street, the flames enveloping Zhou Chen gradually dissipated. Behind him, a resplendent Golden Soul materialized. Its features were identical to his, and it radiated a sacred, beautiful golden light. He had officially entered the Tier Three Realm.

After Jinzhu completed his Advancement, Zhou Chen had repeatedly called for Tang Ling, hoping Tang Ling would open an Any Door so he could rush to the battlefield. However, Tang Ling never answered. Left with no other choice, he had to use an Abyssal Curse Technique from the Book of the Dead to open a Teleportation Gate himself.

’The Royal Tower has been destroyed, but the battle for North Carolina isn’t over. Since I’ve decided to shoulder the hopes of others, I have to fight to the very end. I absolutely cannot fail them!’

Zhou Chen looked toward the pale sea of fire. With a mere thought, tongues of flame danced, and pillars of fire erupted, forming a fiery Prison that completely encircled the Crystal Demons.

Then, the great fire began to roast them.

The flames churned, radiating a terrifying heat. Under the incineration of the Furnace Fire, the Crystal Demons’ bodies gradually turned red-hot and began to crack on their own—this was the Fragilization effect from his Hammer of Forging!

’I wonder if Fragilization works on an Apostle...’ With that thought, Zhou Chen made the Cyan Flame detonate. The Crystal Demons, already scorched into a fragile state, were instantly blown to pieces.

He turned, only to see another massive horde of Crystal Demons rushing toward him like a tidal wave.

’Perfect. A chance to test my new Skills...’

Zhou Chen’s body abruptly transformed into a surging, scorching mass of pale flames. This was pure Essence Materialization. But then, his form gradually shifted into red-hot steel, as if it had been cast from molten iron, glowing a translucent, fiery red.

SWOOSH!

A pair of pale, fiery wings unfurled from his back. Then, layers of steel proliferated over them, forming a pair of Steel Wings wreathed in Cyan Flame. Each feather was as sharp as a blade, glinting with a dangerous sheen. Incredibly, they even featured six engine nozzles that spewed jets of brilliant flame!
