Chapter 1270: You Dare to Get Engaged?! (Part 2)
On the screen of the lit phone, the picture made his brow furrow slightly, and he gestured to Camden.
Camden immediately bent down to pick up the phone and handed it respectfully to his master.
Jose Floyd took the phone, looked at the picture on it, his eyes suddenly cold, and his sharp gaze swept over everyone in the bar.
Joshua Floyd and the others turned their attention to Jose Floyd who picked up the phone, and a few of the guys pushed the always sunny Joshua forward.
Joshua glared at his brothers and approached Jose Floyd, smiling before speaking, his smile radiant, "Hey, buddy, you picked up my phone!"
As he spoke, Joshua extended his long fingers.
Jose Floyd’s icy gaze shot toward the man in front of him, his voice cold: "How do you have this girl’s photo? Who are you?"
"Why does this cold tone sound so familiar?" Joshua frowned, his gaze fixed on Jose Floyd’s indifferent face, scrutinizing him for several seconds before exclaiming in surprise, "Oh my! Aren’t you Nicole’s boyfriend? Isn’t today your engagement party? How come you’re in Italy?!"
Holding the phone, Jose Floyd looked at Joshua, feeling his features were indeed familiar but unable to recall who he was! However, his words made Jose Floyd glance at the phone in his hand, his voice even colder as he quickly snapped at Joshua, "Say that again, who did you say is getting engaged?"
"Nicole!" Joshua touched his own nose and grinned at Jose Floyd, "Did you forget? I’m Joshua, Nicole’s classmate from medical school! Once you saw me walking with Nicole and wanted to beat me up, but she stopped you! Remember? I’m Nicole’s buddy!"
Prompted by Joshua, Jose Floyd recalled the Joshua in front of him.
A guy from her medical school days who liked to fool around with Nicole, he originally planned to deal with him, but Nicole had a fit, preventing it.
Nicole even assured him that she and Joshua were just friends, nothing more. So he let Joshua stay, without causing any trouble for him.
"You said she’s getting engaged?! Explain clearly!" The chill emanating from Jose Floyd was bone-chilling.
Joshua took the phone from his hand, waving the photo on the phone in front of Jose Floyd, "See? Tonight is Nicole’s engagement party..." As he spoke, he felt something was off, and looking deeply at Jose Floyd, he exclaimed, "No way! Isn’t Nicole’s boyfriend you? You’re in Italy, so who’s getting engaged to Nicole?"
He hadn’t forgotten how possessive this guy was over Nicole, practically not allowing any other men near her! Anyone who got close had no good end, and he was an exception!
This guy would allow Nicole to marry another man? That’s wild thinking!
As soon as Joshua finished speaking, Jose Floyd’s face turned as cold as frost, with chill leaking through his teeth, "Nicole May!"
The handwritten letter he left told her he came to Italy to investigate the truth, warning her not to challenge his limits, or she’d be as good as dead if she dared get engaged!
Unexpectedly, she actually dared to get engaged to Steven Cooper!
Jose Floyd didn’t respond to Joshua’s words but took out his phone and dialed Nicole May’s number.
The repeated message of not being able to reach her made him realize that Nicole May had put his number on the blacklist!
Alright, that’s gutsy! Nicole May, you’ve really got guts!
Jose Floyd threw the phone to the ground with a loud crash, the cold on his face and in his eyes terrifying.
Joshua’s smile froze on his face, watching Jose Floyd lose his temper, feeling a bit panicked and helpless: "Well, I feel like I’ve got Nicole into trouble..."
