Nicole was staring blankly at a pair of pearl earrings when the phone rang. Seeing the caller ID was Olivia Summer’s number, her eyes flickered and then grew cold.
The last time at the hospital, in a fit of anger, she only blocked Jose Floyd’s number, completely forgetting about Olivia Summer, who gave her saffron with her own hands and caused the death of her child!
Nicole instinctively pressed the reject call button; she truly had no desire to see Olivia Summer!
She had painstakingly cared for Olivia Summer with her heart condition, staying up every night to learn about cardiac health from foreign classmates for her condition, only to receive the ruthless flower tea that killed her child from Olivia Summer in return.
This could truly be called feeding kindness to a dog!
Nicole rejected the call, thinking she’d finally have peace, only for her phone to ring again, agitating her mind. Helplessly, she picked up the call.
"Hello, is there something you need?" Her voice was icy cold; she could no longer treat Olivia Summer with the same respect she once had for an elder.
Olivia Summer’s side was silent for a moment before her voice softly emerged.
"Nicole, can we meet up? I have something to say to you, and also..." Olivia Summer paused for a moment, her next words even deeper, "I have some things to discuss with you regarding Jose. Can we meet at the ’Remembrance’ café?"
Nicole was about to decline when the call ended abruptly, giving her no chance to refuse.
Regarding Jose Floyd? What matter could there be about Jose Floyd?
Nicole pursed her lips, got up and changed out of her pajamas, wearing a set of clothes and carrying her bag and phone as she drove an inconspicuous car from the garage to the café mentioned by Olivia Summer.
When Nicole arrived, she saw Olivia Summer and Andrea Greenwood sitting inside, two people she didn’t quite wish to see.
This was the last time she’d see them; she wanted no ties with the Seal Family’s people, especially these two women!
When she had her miscarriage, the words these two women spoke stabbed her heart, making her deeply uncomfortable.
Nicole walked into the café and sat opposite Olivia Summer and Andrea Greenwood.
"Hello, miss, may I take your order?"
"A cup of lemon tea, please. Thank you." Nicole responded calmly to the server, then glanced at the two people sitting across from her, her eyes tranquil as a cloud passing by, "What’s the matter, speak directly."
