Chapter 1292: What an Act, Such a Great Act!
"What the heck are you babbling about? Hurry up, are we brothers or not!" Jose Floyd glanced at Jorge Saxton.
Jorge Saxton admitted defeat and pressed the call button on the headboard, "Help us bring a wheelchair for Jose Floyd, who has a brain injury!"
"...You’re the one with the brain injury!"
The nurse quickly brought a wheelchair over. Jose Floyd put down his notebook, slipped on his shoes, and comfortably sat in the wheelchair, casting a glance at his good buddy.
The meaning was obvious: Why are you standing there like an idiot? Come over and push!
"What an act, you’re such a faker!" Jorge Saxton scoffed, moving behind Jose Floyd, and pushed him downstairs.
Jorge Saxton pushed Jose Floyd downstairs, and the two arrived at the garden below the inpatient department.
From afar, they saw Nicole and Daisy Grant playing with two children. Jorge Saxton, pushing Jose Floyd, chuckled softly, "Your scheme might fall through; there’s more than one third wheel."
"She’s the one who brought Iris Seys to the hospital, proving it’s not your niece who’s sick. If Iris Seys were sick, Ariel Morris should’ve brought her. She might’ve brought Iris to see Finley Sutherland, Finley looks a bit pale."
Jorge Saxton nodded, feeling relieved, but when he saw Iris at the hospital, he was a bit worried and anxious. Now seeing Nicole with Iris, Jorge Saxton’s gaze brightened as he chuckled quietly, "Nicole calls my sister sister-in-law. In terms of age and everything, Nicole should address me as big brother when she sees me. Jose, if you marry Nicole, you’ll have to call Arlo Seys big brother."
"...Can you just shut up!" Jose Floyd cast a cold glance at Jorge Saxton.
Thinking about getting an edge this early, what happened to the lifelong brotherhood?
As the two were talking, they had already walked up to Nicole and the others.
The first to notice them was Iris Seys.
"Uncle!" Iris Seys grinned widely at Jorge Saxton, looking particularly radiant, her eyes bright as she ran over to Jorge with her arms open.
"Iris." Jorge Saxton let go of the wheelchair holding Jose Floyd and hugged his little niece.
Nicole and Daisy Grant were chatting, and upon hearing Iris’s call, they turned to look at Jorge Saxton. Jorge smiled at them and nodded. Daisy also smiled, "What a coincidence, you’re at this hospital too."
Nicole’s gaze instantly landed on the person sitting in the wheelchair beside Jorge Saxton.
Jorge Saxton glanced at Nicole out of the corner of his eye, holding Iris, unable to hide the smile in his eyes, "Come on, Uncle will take you to buy some snacks and toys."
Daisy Grant, perceptive as ever, picked up Finley Sutherland and smiled lightly, "Finley needs his shot at noon, I’ll take him back for his injection."
Iris Seys waved at Finley Sutherland, "I’ll ask my uncle to buy double, one for each of us. You go get your shot, Finley, don’t cry."
Finley looked at Iris and lazily said, "Remember to bring it to the ward, come find me."
Iris nodded.
Jorge Saxton, holding Iris, and Daisy Grant, carrying Finley, left together. A few meters away, Jorge suddenly turned back and raised an eyebrow at Nicole, "Jose got injured, help him out, I’ll be back soon."
"..."
Nicole pressed her lips together, and before she could refuse, Jorge Saxton and Daisy Grant, chatting and laughing with the two children, left her with the back of their heads and Jose Floyd.
"Push me over there," Jose Floyd’s voice was cold and indifferent, his expression equally apathetic as he looked at the front of the garden.
Nicole hesitated for a moment, remembering Jorge’s words about coming back soon, and walked over to help take care of Jose Floyd for Jorge Saxton.
Jose Floyd wanted to go to a small path, paved with cobblestones. Nicole pushed him to the entrance of the path, her voice indifferent, "This is cobblestone paved; your wheelchair won’t move..."
