Gu Mian slightly pursed her lips and smiled in a ladylike manner, inadvertently asking, "Isn’t there still two or three months before turning thirty? Mr. Nangong, if within these two or three months I get married, wouldn’t I then avoid catching the last bus of your era? After all, you’re too trendy."

"Oh?" Nangong Yue raised an eyebrow; honestly, he hadn’t anticipated this.

"Getting married in two or three months?" Nangong Yue looked at Gu Mian, "Would that be considered a flash marriage?"

"Well, sort of." Gu Mian nodded; getting married in two or three months probably counts as a flash marriage.

Nangong Yue’s brows slightly furrowed.

Gu Mian laughed, laughing carefreely, "Yeah, Mr. Nangong is so trendy about rush marriages, so shouldn’t I be trendy too and have a flash marriage?"

"Isn’t that just perfect?" Nangong Yue’s smile was bright as he stared at her, "You could be even more trendy, make it even more sudden - we could get the certificate right after returning to the country, wouldn’t that be better? A flash marriage in four days, don’t you think that’s more interesting?"

Hearing this, Gu Mian widened her eyes, "Oh my, Nangong Yue, since when did you learn to play tricks?"

"Hahaha." Nangong Yue let out a hearty laugh and simply lay down on the beach, "Miss Gu thinks it’s a trick, so it’s a trick. The key is whether you’re willing to get on the path or not?"

As he spoke, he turned to look at Gu Mian.

Under the sunlight, Gu Mian suddenly realized that Nangong Yue had quite a good physique, did he work out regularly?

For some reason, Gu Mian was momentarily touched by his gaze and didn’t really know how to respond.

She and Nangong Yue were quite familiar with each other, already familiar to the point of being like family. Suddenly turning from ’family’ to lovers, even becoming soulmates, wouldn’t that feeling be very strange!!!

But, strangely, there wasn’t a very strange feeling; rather, she felt a bit excited and found it fresh and curious, wondering what it would be like to live with someone like Nangong Yue, would it truly lead to love?

Gu Mian squinted slightly. Honestly, maybe she didn’t mind trying out a relationship with Nangong Yue, but he was too intense, starting with talk of marriage really exceeded her expectations.

He’d always been a very serious, rule-abiding type of person, after all, he’s a professor, everybody understands!

Nangong Yue looked at Gu Mian, and Gu Mian looked at him. They seemed to be deep in thought and weighing options. Nangong Yue wasn’t in a hurry, patiently awaiting Gu Mian’s answer.

The beach still echoed with the joyful sounds of Gu Qibao and the others; they were apparently very happy, so nobody noticed Gu Mian and Nangong Yue, and everyone played very joyously.

Gu Mian even heard Di Xiaxia’s merry laughter. She wasn’t jealous or heartbroken, just somewhat envious.

Gu Mian glanced over, seeing Di Xiaxia and Di Mingzhe walking hand in hand by the shore. Di Xiaxia playfully splashed in the waves, laughing with delight when the waves came, and shouting with disappointment when they receded, very much like a mischievous child.

Di Mingzhe kept holding her hand, indulgingly watching her, accompanying her, quiet yet stable as she laughed and played.

Clearly, Nangong Yue noticed her gaze elsewhere. He didn’t probe her intentions, just quietly watched her.

Gu Mian gradually retracted her gaze, looking at the man beside her, leisurely lifting a smile.

An unprecedented sense of impulse and boldness bubbled up, and she suddenly said, "Mr. Nangong, are you trying to play exciting games?"
