Chapter 33: A Bone for Thousand Dollars (Part - 2)
"Don’t just stand there like idiots! Beat the living shit out of this pathetic loser! Break his bones."
"For each bone you break, I will give you a thousand dollars."
As soon as the bounty hit their ears, greed instantly clouded the eyes of the lackeys.
Thousand bucks for every bone?
Suddenly everyone of them had a single question popping in their head. How many bones did a human body actually had? Wasn’t it 200 something? Damn, they should have paid a litle more attention to what they teach in school.
But whatever the number was, they knew one thing, it was enough to make them rich overnight.
"You are courting death, Rick!" one of the taller guys roared, as he grabbed a wine bottle from the table and charged straight for Rick’s head.
Rick did not even blink, as he lazily removed his boot from Tristan’s chest, effortlessly dodging the swinging glass bottle by simply tilting his head.
His hand shot out like a venomous snake, as he grabbed the lackey’s wrist with an iron grip, twisting it violently until a sickening, loud snap echoed across the room.
"Aaaargh!" the lackey shrieked in agony, but Rick immediately silenced him by grabbing the back of his neck and driving a brutal knee directly into his face, shattering his nose and sending him crashing to the floor in a bloody mess.
Two more guys rushed him simultaneously from the left side, but Rick simply sidestepped with his enhanced speed, as he grabbed the first guy by his hair and ruthlessly slammed his face directly into the thick wall.
The second guy tried to throw a desperate punch, but Rick caught his fist effortlessly in his palm, as he raised his leg and delivered a devastating kick right to the guy’s kneecap, bending the joint entirely backward with a horrific crunch.
"My leg! Oh god, my leg!" the lackey screamed, collapsing onto the hardwood floor while clutching his ruined knee.
The remaining two lackeys instantly stopped in their tracks, as all the greed completely vanished from their eyes, dropping their fists and falling to their knees in pure, unadulterated terror, because they realized they were trying to fight a literal monster.
Rick slowly stepped over the groaning, bleeding bodies of his former classmates, as he casually cracked his knuckles, walking directly toward Roy with the dark, suffocating aura of an apex predator.
Roy’s arrogant facade finally shattered into a million pieces, as he tried to put some distance between them, his legs shaking uncontrollably because his paid meat shields had been annihilated in less than ten seconds.
"I... I will pay!" Roy stammered pathetically, as all the colour completely drained from his face, frantically waving his hands in surrender, "Don’t touch me! Marcus! Bring the machine right now! I will fucking pay whatever the fuck you want. Just stop right there."
Marcus calmly pulled a sleek, black card terminal from his jacket pocket, as he walked over to Roy.
Roy hurriedly picked up the bent up card from the floor quickly swiping it in the machine, praying to the Gods that his card would actually work.
And luckily for him, it did. Roy entered the details and expected a satisfying beep, but the machine flashed bright red, as a loud ’DECLINED’ error beeped loudly through the room.
"Insufficient funds," Marcus announced coldly, "Your limit is only one hundred thousand dollars, you poor child."
Roy’s face instantly turned a shade of crimson red Marcus’s voice echoed through the room.
"Shut up!" Roy quickly got down on his knees and hastily shook Tristan, "Tristan! Wake the fuck up! Wire the remaining fifty grand from your phone right now! My card maxed out!"
Tristan let out a pathetic whine and his brain was completely clouded by the excruciating pain of his fractured ribs.
"What...?" Tristan mumbled hazily, as his eyes rolled back slightly, struggling to focus on Roy’s panicked face, "My mother... She will fire him... Call my mother..."
"Fuck your mother!" Roy screamed in panic, as he grabbed Tristan by his blood-stained lapels and shook him aggressively, "He does not care about your mother! He is a fucking lunatic! Just wire the remaining fifty grand to the hotel account before he breaks my legs too! Do it now!"
Tristan winced in pure agony, as the violent shaking sent sharp daggers of pain through his chest, finally forcing him to snap back to reality.
"Okay... Okay! Stop shaking me!" Tristan wept pathetically, as he desperately pulled out his heavy, blood-stained phone with his one good hand.
His vision was incredibly blurry, but he frantically navigated the banking app, quickly transferring the remaining balance to the hotel’s account, because he just wanted to escape this terrifying monster and go to a hospital.
"Payment confirmed, Boss," Marcus nodded respectfully to Rick, as he checked the digital terminal.
"You got lucky today, Rick," Roy threatened coldly, adjusting his tailored suit jacket to regain his dignity, "But you just wait until my father hears about this. And then no paid actors will save you."
Roy turned around, as he marched aggressively toward the double doors, "Let’s go! This trash is not worth our time!"
Chloe immediately scrambled after him, swaying her hips, while the terrified lackeys quickly followed their young master out of the ruined room.
Emily hesitated for a brief second, looking at Rick with a complex, confused gaze, but since Rick did not even spare her a single glance, she bit her lip and quickly ran out the door after Roy, leaving Tristan completely abandoned on the floor.
Rick calmly walked over to the head of the table, as he pulled out a heavy leather chair and sat down comfortably, casually kicking his heavy boots right up onto the ruined marble table.
"Marcus," Rick commanded lazily, looking at the bleeding heir whining on the floor. "Let the medical team in. Patch him up before he bleeds out on my expensive floor."
Just as Rick rested his hands behind his head, a sharp, mechanical chime echoed directly inside his skull.
