Lust System: I will Cuck Everyone

Chapter 39: Fifty Orders and the Chairwoman’s Bad Bet

The morning sun cut through the high frosted windows of the Peninsula Hotel’s main kitchen as dozens of sous-chefs and line cooks rushed around preparing for the lunch service. Pans clattered, knives chopped, and the air already smelled of searing meat and fresh herbs.

Rick walked through the double doors, wearing a crisp, perfectly tailored white chef’s jacket over his dark trousers, as the entire kitchen immediately fell into a deadly, terrifying silence.

The veteran chefs and experienced staff stopped chopping, whisking, and boiling, as they looked at the young man who had just overthrown their previous executive chef.

Word had already spread that the new Honorary Head Chef was also the majority shareholder. No one knew how a young man like him had taken over half the hotel overnight, but no one dared ask.

Rick did not care about their terrified stares, as he walked straight to the premium prep station at the center of the kitchen, pulling out his heavy black leather roll and dropping it onto the stainless steel counter with a loud thud.

He unrolled the leather, revealing the pitch-black, Damascus steel Shadow-Forged Cleavers, and as the dark metal absorbed the bright kitchen lights, a heavy, oppressive aura washed over the room.

He looked around at the frozen staff and raised an eyebrow.

"What are you all standing around for?" Rick asked, his voice completely flat but carrying a dominant weight that made the head sous-chef violently flinch, "Lunch starts in two hours. If anyone falls behind, I will personally show you the back door."

"Yes, Chef!" the brigade shouted in unison and scrambled back to work.

Rick grabbed the dark cleaver, as his newly acquired Culinary Mastery immediately took over his physical instincts, allowing him to grab a massive slab of premium Wagyu beef and begin slicing it with terrifying, machine-like precision.

His hands moved in a blinding blur, as the pitch-black blade cleanly separated the fat and muscle without a single wasted movement, making the nearby cooks stare at him in pure awe. Nobody had ever seen knife skills of this monstrous caliber.

Just then a soft chime rang in his head.

[Ding!]

[Quest: Complete Fifty Service Orders Today]

[Objective: Personally oversee or prepare fifty proper dishes before 18:00]

[Reward: +2% Chef Occupation Progress, +5% Stakes in Peninsula Hotel, $300,000.]

[Failure: Temporary loss of Culinary Mastery for 48 hours.]

Rick read the glowing blue text floating in his vision, and a confident smirk stretched across his face, "Fifty servings? That’s so easy."

"Let’s get this over with," Rick muttered to himself.

Soon the clock hit noon and the lunch rush exploded.

Tickets poured out of the printer. Waiters shouted orders. Rick stood at the pass like a calm general, checking every plate, correcting sauces, and cooking the hardest dishes himself. His hands never slowed.

He tossed heavy iron pans, flipped searing steaks, and plated delicate sauces with terrifying speed, as his mental counter slowly ticked upward with every passing minute.

Ten dishes.

Twenty dishes.

Thirty dishes.

Forty dishes.

But just as the lunch rush hit its absolute peak, and the kitchen was a loud symphony of shouting cooks and sizzling pans, the heavy steel double doors swung open.

The opening of the door immediately drew the attention of the entire kitchen, as Victoria stepped inside, completely stopping the fast-paced momentum of the brigade.

Victoria looked absolutely flawless, wearing a tight, tailored grey pencil skirt that hugged her wide, mature hips perfectly, along with a crisp silk blouse that pushed up her heavy breasts, as she exuded a cold, untouchable corporate authority.

However she wasn’t alone. Beside her walked a fat, balding man in an expensive but slightly tacky suit.

He was none other than the Mayor of the city. Behind them trailed the Mayor’s elegant wife, two nervous aides, and a very sweaty Marcus.

The entire kitchen froze.

Victoria’s ice-blue eyes locked onto Rick with clear hostility. After last night’s thorough teasing in the penthouse, she had clearly decided to fight back by bringing political power into his kitchen.

"Stop what you are doing!" Victoria commanded loudly, her sharp voice cutting through the noise of the kitchen, forcing every single cook to instantly drop their pans and stand at attention out of pure fear.

The Mayor looked around the massive kitchen with a look of utter disdain, as he pulled out a silk handkerchief and patted his sweaty forehead, completely looking down on the staff like they were dirty peasants.

"Chairwoman Victoria," the Mayor sneered, his voice loud and obnoxious, "You assured me that the Peninsula Hotel maintained the highest standards in the city, but this kitchen looks like a chaotic, unorganised mess."

Victoria turned toward Rick, a cold little smile on her lips.

"I apologise, Mayor. We recently had a sudden change in management. Our new Honorary Head Chef is still... adjusting."

Marcus looked ready to faint in the background. But he knew he was nothing but an ant in a battle between dragons.

Everyone expected Rick to drop what he was doing and rush over to greet the Mayor. Instead, he continued plating a piece of sea bass, drizzling truffle glaze with steady hands as if the most powerful people in the city weren’t standing ten feet away.

Victoria’s face instantly tightened, as her attempt to publicly humiliate him was completely falling flat against his absolute apathy.

"Mr. Smith!" Victoria raised her voice, letting her anger seep through her professional facade, "The Mayor of this city is standing right here for a routine quality inspection, so I suggest you put down that plate and address us immediately!"

Rick still did not reply, as he wiped the edge of the pristine white plate with a clean cloth, while the rich, mouth-watering aroma of the perfectly cooked fish drifted through the tense air of the kitchen.

And right as Victoria was about to shout again, a sharp chime echoed directly inside Rick’s mind.

[Ding!]

[New Quest: Private Dinner for the Mayor]

[Objective: Prepare and serve a complete private dinner for the Mayor and his wife tonight. And he should like it.]

[Reward: +5 % Chef Occupation Progress, A small surprise gift for you.]

[Failure: Demotion as the dish washer in your kitchen for one week]

Rick’s eyes narrowed slightly as he read the glowing blue text.

He finally placed the finished plate on the stainless steel pass, and without any rush, he grabbed a towel, slowly wiping his hands as he turned around to face the group.

Rick looked at Victoria’s stern face, and then his gaze shifted to the fat, arrogant Mayor, before finally landing on the Mayor’s wife.

The Mayor’s wife was a beautiful, refined woman in her late forties, wearing a tight designer dress, and while her husband was busy looking at the kitchen with disgust, her eyes were completely locked onto the plate of sea bass Rick had just finished.

She was staring hard at the finished sea bass, lips slightly parted. The passive aphrodisiac scent from his cooking was already working.

He smiled.

"An inspection?" he said lightly, "If the Mayor wanted to try my food, he could have just booked a table like everyone else."

The Mayor’s face turned red.

"You insolent—!"

Rick raised a hand, still smiling.

"Relax, Mayor. I am not trying to offend you. I am just saying there’s a better way to do this," He glanced at Victoria, eyes dancing with open amusement, "Since Chairwoman Vance went through the trouble of bringing you all the way down here, why don’t we make it interesting?"

Victoria’s eyes narrowed.

Rick continued, voice casual but carrying clearly across the silent kitchen.

"I will cook a full private dinner for you and your wife tonight in the exclusive dining room. If even one dish disappoints you, or if you honestly think it’s not the best meal you have ever had..." He paused, letting the silence stretch. "...I will sign over half of my controlling shares in the Peninsula Hotel to Chairwoman Victoria on the spot."

The kitchen went dead quiet.

"Eeeppp!" Marcus made a strangled sound.

Victoria’s eyes widened for a fraction of a second before she forced her face back to ice. Half the shares. That was enough for her to reclaim full control of the board.

The Mayor instantly looked amused, "You are offering half your shares over a single dinner?"

"Drawn up by your lawyers if you want," Rick said easily.

"But if you admit the meal is the best you have ever tasted, two things happen. First, you publicly endorse my kitchen. Second..." His gaze slid back to Victoria with a cheeky, almost affectionate teasing look, "Chairwoman Victoria will personally serve dessert to your table wearing a waitress uniform."

Victoria’s face flushed with pure indignation, "You—!"

"Do we have a deal, Mayor?" Rick however ignored Victoria, extending his hand.

The Mayor looked at Victoria, his eyes scanned her from top to bottom and a smile formed on his face. Greed took over.

He grabbed Rick’s hand.

"You are a foolish boy who doesn’t know the height of the heavens. I accept. Start packing your bags, because you are losing your hotel tonight."

Rick squeezed just hard enough to make the Mayor’s eyes water, then let go with a bright, playful grin.

"We will see. Don’t be late."

[Quest Timer Started: 08 Hours Remaining]

Victoria stared at him, ice-blue eyes burning with a mix of fury and something else she refused to name.

Rick just winked at her once, turned back to the pass, and calmly called for the next ticket as if he hadn’t just bet half a billion-dollar hotel on a single dinner.

The kitchen slowly returned to motion, but every cook kept sneaking looks at the young chef who was still smiling to himself while plating the next dish.

Victoria turned on her heel and left without another word, the Mayor following behind her.

Rick watched them go, then leaned over to one of the sous-chefs and said in a cheerful voice,

"Add two more covers for tonight’s private dining room. Make sure the good silver is polished."

"And someone find me a waitress uniform."

"Keep it short and tight."

"I am up for a treat tonight."
