07-13 Secrets of the Ruins

"Jin, what's wrong?

Rheinhardt sounded worried when he noticed that Jen was looking strange.

The Jen, with a glimmer of sweat on her forehead,

"This is... a giant portal to the transfer."

I said.

"What!?

"Is this the Transition Gate?

Reinhardt and Elsa were also surprised, but the most surprised would have been Lukor.

"Hey, hey, what!? This is the Transition Gate? Hey, how do you know!?

I blushed and blued my face, and as I retracted, I finally said just that.

"Why... because I know, I can only answer that"

Jen, who had deluded himself by saying that the transfer gate (warp gate) he had been using was an ancient artifact, definitely appeared here as a transfer gate (warp gate) as an ancient artifact.

"Ugh, um, uhh... you're going to see at first sight what I didn't know after ten years of research!? Such an idiot!

"No, you know, I'm sorry about that"

Jen apologizes, not sure, to Lukor, who turns excitedly.

"Yes, see, there, you can see some of the magic formations in the place where the stones are turned, right? Is that evidence of a metastasis gate?

I'll tell you what, Lucor is even more confused.

"You know what! More or less, it doesn't convey the magic formation for the portal of transfer (warp gate)!

Because it seems useless to say anything at the earliest.

"Jin, go"

And Elsa pulled Jen's sleeve. Jen also tries to stay calm now and leaves the spot.

"So, suppose this is the portal of transfer (Warp Gate)... it's huge."

Speak like Reinhardt was impressed.

"Oh. I didn't even know there was such a big transfer gate (warp gate). Well, it looks like he's already dead."

And, Jen. However, the air conditioning still seems to be running incompletely. Summer cool and winter warm. I can tell by the cave, but in such a shallow place, it's more muscular to think that air conditioning is in place.

Reinhardt asks Jen, who was thinking about it.

"Hey Jin, what do you think I used for this big transfer gate?

"A lot of supplies from size, a lot of people, I guess."

Reinhardt snorted,

"I think so, too. Perhaps it was one of the fortifications of the Magic Wars?

Talk about what you guessed. Jen agreed with that.

"I see, that's likely..."

And there came a recovered lucole pinching his mouth.

"You guys! You think so? That's the same conclusion I took ten years to reach! This must have been a regional fort during the Magic Wars!

"Ha, ha"

Excited Lukor's rhetoric continues.

"The Magic Wars! It was a war that betrayed the survival of demons and humans! Demons were strong, humans were weak! But humans are not doomed. Why do you think?

Lucor asks Jen. Jen answers plainly.

"Is this Aether Stampede, a magic vegetarian rampage?

Apparently that was the right thing to do.

"That's right! Magic Runaway" Aether Stampede, "which temporarily wiped out free magic elements (ethers) in the atmosphere. The Demons cannot live without free magic (ether). But human beings, except powerful wizards, live without free magic elements (ethers)."

Hearing that, Jen remembered something cold flowing through his spine. If this happens again now with the exorcism Aether Stampede, Jen, Reinhardt and Elsa will not be able to live. And Reiko will probably stop moving, too.

"Is it conveyed how to" ether stampede "an exorcism?

So Jen threw a question saying so.

"Hmm? No, no, including that, very little pre-Magic Wars technology is passed on. Then I'm investigating this ruin!

Relax Jen for now. For the moment, there seems to be no danger. But...

(Measures to the Magic Runaway "Ether Stampede," you might want to think about it)

And he was Jen to his heart.

Reinhardt asks such a question to Jen again.

"Hey Jin, if this is the fort, what else do you think there is at the Transition Gate?

"Hmm, command room, residential area, infirmary, pantry, and..."

Jen spins his words as he thinks, and then says a little at the end,

"… Armory"

I said.

Reinhardt beckons to the words of his Jen.

"I think so, too. I wonder if there's a weapon of the past hidden somewhere in this ruin."

And go on with the words.

"I wish that was in the hands of the Unity Party (Unifiler)..."

Come here. Jen finally figured out Reinhardt's worries.

"Sure. I hope not, but if there is, we have to do something."

Jen agrees. And look over the wall,

"If this is the Transition Gate room, it's like the front door. It should hit the first basement or ground floor. If there was a warehouse like that, it would be underground, so I guess it's on the same level or underground."

And when I say it, Lucor once again speaks out.

"None. There's no other room. Even if it looks like this, I can use a little magic, so I looked for it. But it was futile. There's no room but this room."

I said so. Jen tried to argue with it, but rethought and mumbled. If Reinhardt instead,

"Really, then that's fine. Then if there's nothing left to see, let's get out of here."

I said. Both Jen and Elsa agreed, so one line went outside the ruins, putting aside Lukor, who was still bumping.

The sun was dazzling outside. There are no more old men who have guided me.

"Well, I wonder what we'll do till night"

and Reinhardt. Elsa, who heard it,

"Huh? Aren't you going home?

and a surprising face. Jen forgives Elsa like that.

"Well, let's get to the carriage. I know more about you."

That's what makes the line hang out and walk home to Jen's carriage. It was a pleasant afternoon with spring winds.

"Well, then let me explain."

Returning to Jen's carriage, he sat in the cabin and closed the door.

"Reiko, keep an eye on anyone approaching."

"Yes, Father."

When Jen cautioned against pushing, he urged Reinhardt to start talking.

"Okay. Elsa, did you hear about the Unity Party (Unifiler) the other day?

"Mmm."

Let's start with an explanation for Elsa.

"The Unity Party (Unifiler) is bringing the Kingdom of Dinar back to life. I mean, lost technology should be enough for them to get their hands off their throats, too."

"Mm, I know."

Then Jen takes over and starts talking.

"If that ruin is the ruins of a past fort, it definitely doesn't mean it's just that room. I guarantee that."

"And that means,"

"Oh. The arsenal must exist. And the technology of the past."

Here Reinhardt took over again and spoke out.

"I suppose it's supposed to be a muscle to contact the proper department in the Kingdom of Egerea to make an investigation, but if you look at the status quo, which has been abandoned for decades, at least the Uremlin guys are incompetent"

Uremlin is the nearest regional city. Reinhardt also says it when he says it quite well.

"Besides, that guy named Lucor is suspicious. I'm so suspicious. Why does it take ten years in one of those rooms?

Jen agrees with that. It doesn't matter how much. Reinhardt sums up the story.

"In the meantime, I want to strike a hand that won't benefit the Unified Party."

And Jen shouted at the word,

"Oh. It's like trying to manipulate Reiko or someone else's golem. I don't know what dirty hands to use. I think we should get ahead of this place."

I said. And finally, Reinhardt,

"Plus, I'm interested in a guy called Ancient Technology!

and closes. Elsa was powerless from her shoulders when she heard it.
