Magi Craft Meister

08-06 To the Kingdom of Celluloa

The next day, the 6th of Spring April.

In the morning, Jen and Reinhardt were visiting the room where Elsa was staying.

…………

…………

…………

No one spoke. Just shut up and watch what Elsa left behind or had to leave behind.

Some of them were dolls that Jen had previously given away, Non.

It had a smudge on it, but it was not an abandoned smudge, but a smudge on the fried phrase that was stroked and held up more than once.

(You, too, were left behind)

Jen muttered only in her heart and gently touched Non's head.

There was also a dagger left. Jen was only a little sorry to see it.

But I'm more worried than surprised that a protective ring (protection ring) was left behind.

Jen was hurting her chest because Elsa knew how useful it was. He wanted me to at least have this. So Jen took the ring and put it in his pocket.

If I had done so, the door was accidentally opened and Elsa's brother Fritz came in with his men.

"What, Reinhardt, were you still there"

Such a dialogue if you look at your face.

"I'm leaving."

"Hmm. Right."

Fritz, who said so, looked over at the room and said to the butler and the escort.

"Dispose of all excess items. You'll be under my umbrella for a while. Return to your home country or not."

That said, Fritz dropped the non placed on the night table with his hands.

"Oops."

Jen takes it before it falls to the floor. Fritz, who saw it sideways,

"Hmm."

and laughed with his nose,

"Reinhardt, go now. I know you do, but don't say anything unnecessary."

That's what I told Reinhardt over my back.

"I know."

And he answered only briefly, and Reinhardt slapped Jen on the shoulder, and walked away there.

Jen held Non and followed Reinhardt without looking back.

Adberg, the butler, Herman, the escort, seemed to miss those two.

Same day at 10 a.m. Jen and Reinhardt were rocked by carriages and were in the Kingdom of Celluloa.

As Reinhardt had completed the procedure, the border gates were able to pass without problems.

We both have a small mouth count. It looks like Elsa is still missing.

At 2 p.m., we arrived in Terrus, a regional city that would be staying that day.

Terrus flows behind it the Great River Torres, beyond which is the capital, Esaia.

The Torres River is over 200 meters wide and there are no bridges. Crossings are the only means of transport. For this reason, the ship is reserved. Few large ships can carry a carriage.

"Dear Reinhardt, he says we have plenty of appointments until three days away."

I say like I'm done with Claude the Butler.

"Right, well, I can't help it. I guess you could have taken the inn, huh?

Due to the large number of passengers waiting for the ferry, there are inevitably many lodgings.

"Yes, the first hotel was vacant"

So Jens went to the hotel first. What a ten-story building, quite a high-rise architecture in this world. Renda's room was on the sixth floor.

"Sixth floor on the stairs, I guess."

And so on and Jen thinks, what a golem to carry.

"The Kingdom of Celluloa is sparsely populated for its size. That's why golems are used in a lot of places."

is a description of Reinhardt.

It was also Jen's first experience to sit on Golem's arm and climb the stairs. I naturally haven't seen Reiko, who disappears and follows me, look slightly remorseful.

"Oh, you see the river"

Even on the sixth floor, you can see the Torres River far beyond the roof of the building. There were dozens of crossings, going and going. But all of them are small ships.

"Why wouldn't you build a bigger ship?

Reinhardt overheard whining words without telling anyone.

"It's Kingdom policy. The Torres River is a natural moat. This side of the river is the king's capital, Esaia. For this reason, ships larger than ten people cannot be privately owned. All large carriage ships are under national control."

When I heard that, Jen thought it was like the Oi River from the Edo period. It even forbids ships over there, and I recall one scene of a epoch I saw one day when my manpower and feet were giving away travelers.

"Well, we'll have to slow down until three days from now."

The room I took this time lasted four days. The first room was assigned to Reinhardt and the second to Jen. The third was assigned to the men's servants and the fourth to the women's servants' rooms.

Each room is also connected by a door, a structure that allows you to come and go without having to go through the hallway.

Now Jen and Reinhardt were colluding in Reinhardt's room.

"I guess Reinhardt stopped by here to go, too?

"Oh, there's no other way to get by than here."

In the policy of the Kingdom of Cellular, Reinhardt said this is the only street to the Kingdom of Egerea.

One more thing, there's a narrow road in the mountains, but the beast appears to be out and the thieves are out, and the army says it's enough to use it now and then. They say there are no settlements to replenish.

"This city is fine, but there are five walls facing the river, and only the first walls will creep unless allowed. Ordinary travelers walk the streets between the first and second walls."

As far as Reinhardt's explanation goes, it seems like a troublesome country, Jen thought.

It seems that the walls of the Wall are stretched with stone walls like the Great Wall of Miles. That's five. I feel like a waste of effort to say something, Jen.

"I'm a diplomat, and I'm stopping by Esaia to get there, so I don't have a problem getting to the fourth wall. What do we do?"

"Oh, well, you don't have to force yourself to go back"

I don't want any trouble, Jen tells Reinhardt. Reinhardt seems to agree with that,

Then we'll use the streets within the second wall.

I decided to talk to him.

"The original Esaia is in the fifth wall."

Since time is free until dinner, Jen is asking Reinhardt for more stories about the walls of Esaia.

"Between the fifth and fourth, it's huge, and there's one town. Don't let the wealthy common man be there. For non-aristocrats, you might say that's the Esaia in a way."

"So Reinhardt can get in there without a problem?"

"Well, that's why. So, between the fourth and third, it's even wider there. But it's also a place to stop enemies at times of need, so there's a squad, and it's not a very atmospheric place."

That explains it. Jen figured it out, he said.

"Oh, so it's a street between the third and the second."

"Yes, we're talking about insecurity instead of anyone being able to pass between the second and the first. I didn't see it with these eyes."

I missed my meal that night more than usual. Jen wondered if the atmosphere would change so much just because there was not one Elsa.

"Elsa, how are you doing these days?"

Jen, your voice leaks like that.

"Oh, right. What the hell is Elsa's happiness?"

He thought the same thing about Reinhardt, and hammered Jen.

Jen had something she wanted to ask Reinhardt, so she drank tea (tee) after dinner.

"Reinhardt, can I ask you one thing?

and talk.

"Hmm, what?

"Did I say Elsa's brother, Fritz,

"Oh, yes, I am."

"So you used to play and be cute with Elsa?

Because I was too far from my brother's statue that Elsa had me play when I was a little girl, on a night in Delrid town.

Then Reinhardt moaned loudly,

"Oh, you know what?"

That's what I explained.

"Fritz changed, four years ago. A time when the political foundations of the present king, which the Predecessor of the Kingdom of Celluloa had defeated and succeeded, had not yet been consolidated"

It didn't even go to war, but there was more to it than skirmishes, less than war, Reinhardt says.

"He was Ensign then. He was the enemy... captive of the National Defence Forces of the Kingdom of Celluloa. I ended up being helped by a prisoner exchange, but people have changed ever since."

Reinhardt said sadly that he had come to pursue power everywhere.

Until then, he was a lovely brother to Elsa.

"Right. Then it must have been hard for Elsa."

Brain muscles, and a sweet brother who was a funny opponent turns leopard. That would have been a blue-hearted thunderbolt.

Once again, Jen thought of what Elsa's happiness was.
