14-05 Reasoning, Consideration, Experimentation, Verification

On the morning of July 19, Jen, Elsa and Saki went to Penglai Island. Berche returned to the waiting village of Kalz in Reinhardt.

There was a steering arena in Penglai, which has been here since I returned to my home in Goa, the Kingdom of Celluloa, on the 16th.

"Oh, Jin, ladies and gentlemen"

Steer Arena had one room on the third floor in a dedicated lab. Therein did Jen's faces appear.

"What's wrong with you today?

"There's a theme I'd like you to think about in the Steer Arena."

"Well, what could it be?

Jen talked about making Magic Crystals artificially. I heard that. The Steer Arena is happy to jump up.

"Fine! That's what I wanted to do! I love crystals, beautiful gems, and magic crystals, but they're not meant to make golems!

So we move on to the details again. Jen was the one who opened his mouth first.

"There's something called the Magic Reservoir (Mana Tank), which is commonly used in golems, right? That's the magic crystal that holds magic magic (mana). You know how that works?

"Well... I'm ashamed, but don't know. You're using it."

Techniques include those guided by the rules of thumb and those guided by theory. The technology found after a long trial and error, one of which was the Magic Reservoir (Mana Tank).

"Think about how you can store magic magic (mana) in a magic reservoir."

"... I don't know"

After a while of thought, Saki surrendered. The same goes for the Steer Arena. But Elsa was still thinking about it. Eventually Elsa raised her face and answered in a small voice, feeling unsure.

"... into the gap, is it?

"Correct, I think"

Jen perceived Elsa's answer and discerned that she had the same idea as herself. But Saki and Stearena keep their necks tilted. So Jen started explaining it in a plain way.

"In the box, I'm going to pack a big round stone. Now, after you've filled it with round stones, will there still be something in that box?

"Hmm? If you're full, you're not going in anymore, are you?... No, you don't. If it's sand, it's still going in."

Jen nodded at Saki's answer.

"That's the thing. There's more water in there, like sand, right? I mean, if it's different sizes, there's room for it."

It was the Steer Arena that opened its mouth after that explanation.

"If you do, the magic hormone (mana) thing is very small?

"I think so. All matter is made up of what we call 'molecules'. Molecules are invisibly small grains, but magic hormones (mana) are much smaller than that. And I'm guessing the free magic hormone (ether) is even smaller."

Jen opens his own narrative.

"Although most substances can get into free magic (ether) and magic (mana), I wonder if that's the magic crystal (Magic Crystal), a substance that is easy to remove with lots of magic (mana) in it. Of course, the Magic Crystal can be written directly into the Magic Formula, so it can be used efficiently as a tank."

"I see. I can manage to follow you. Molecules, I need you to explain the word later. … go on."

"Now, what if we could put a lot of magic magic (mana) in a regular stone and keep it that way?

"... become an artificial demon stone (Magistone)?

Now Saki spoke of reasoning. Jen nods.

"... if you can. Unfortunately, when I tried it just a little bit before, I couldn't."

"Oh, yeah? Even Jin couldn't..."

Saki dropping her shoulders. But the Steer Arena burned the fighting spirit the other way around.

"But that's why it's worth it! I mean, find out what magic crystals are, find a way to make the same thing out of them, right?

Jen nodded,

"Oh. Let's do a lot of things first"

So I asked Reiko to prepare a variety of magic crystals.

"First of all, I wonder if the Magic Crystal (Magic Crystal) knows anything from why the colors vary from attribute to attribute..."

Jen said as he looked at the colorful demonic crystals (Magi crystals) placed on the workbench.

"Hmm, of course, but what's the difference between a magic crystal and a magic stone? Is it just the amount of magic hormone (mana) it contains?

"Magic crystals are mostly transparent or translucent, and magic stones are opaque. I think there might be something there."

"Oh, maybe"

I heard what Stearena said. Looks like Elsa came up with something.

"I think the Magic Crystal is' crystallized 'after all. In other words, because molecular sequences are regular, it is also easy to get magic (mana) into them. But not Magistone."

Crystal, Saki and Stearena, who do not know the true meaning of the word, did not seem to understand the statement, so Jen provides a supplementary explanation.

"Crystals, if you say so, molecules… I just said, small grains that make matter are lined up regularly. Crystals, hexagonal columns."

The analogy seemed to advance the understanding a little, and they both nodded loudly at Jen to show it.

"Conversely, the gaps line up nicely, I can say. Straight roads, winding roads, easy to run."

"That's Brother Jin. I didn't think of that analogy."

At the very least, the fact that it is crystalline seems to be a major factor in whether it is easy or not to contain magic potassium (mana).

"Next thing you know, will Magnetin enter those stones and crystals naturally?"

If you can see the process and reproduce it artificially, you may be able to make artificial demon crystals (Magi Crystals).

"Is that... something you can think of and understand?

Saki made a voice that she didn't seem confident.

"Um, well, I think I know a little bit about what kind of place you'll find it,"

"What kind of place, because?

"Oh. To my knowledge, I have experienced that demonic stones of fire attribute can be picked near a volcano in Kaina village. You've also found Magic Crystals."

It's about last year.

"The basement of Penglai can pick all the attributes, right?

Jen nods at Elsa's words.

"Oh, thank God, there's a thick point in the basement of this island where free magic is found."

That's when Elsa once again speaks of her thoughts.

"... Free Magnetin (ether) combines to become Magnetin (mana)?

"What?

Jen stared unexpectedly at Elsa when she heard the words. Elsa leaned down a bit in response to Jen's gaze.

"Right... If free magic is an atom, is magic is a molecule?"

Elsa also understood Jen's whining.

"Yes, that's what I was trying to say,"

Jen will explain because of the two people who can't come with me.

"Atoms, I mean... well, I guess it's like building blocks. It's not a single tree, but when combined, it's like a house or a castle."

The analogy seemed easy to understand.

"Right! Fire attributes, water attributes, soil, wind… each has a specific combination of free magic elements (ethers), right?

If Saki is happy to say, the Steer Arena is also

"It's magic to make that combination, so it's a spell!

The concepts of free magic (ether) and magic (mana) were both decent, so it would be very helpful for Jen to save explanations in that regard.

"Oh, maybe the crystal gap is just like the magic crystal of each attribute..."

The theory that Jen derived seemed to be a pretty good line.

Pozi and negatives, or male and female?

Jen made a hypothesis that the crystal gap shaped just like a magic element (mana) with its own attributes, while the free magic element (ether) was captured as a magic crystal (magi crystal).

The difficulty is that the description of all the attributes is not good, but the other things fit.

"If that's the case, there must be some magic crystals that have lost their magic hormones, right? I've never seen anything like it..."

"If the magic stone (Magistone) is missing, it's a good story."

Stearena and Jen tilt their necks.

"The magic stone (Magistern) that falls out of the Magistern will be just a stone."

"Oh. But maybe the color will fade a little..."

Jen looked uncomfortable because she didn't use Magistone much.

"Then why don't you give it a try?

Elsa said. Sure, if you don't know what happens to magic crystals (Magic Crystals) that have fallen out of magic (Mana), you can experiment.

"All right, let's try it"

So I decided to activate some magic with the smallest demonic crystal (Magi Crystal) on the workbench as an energy source. You should consume as much magic hormone (mana) as possible.

All right, I like the Magijammer.

Indeed, magic consumption is a great magic guide.

Jen asked Reiko to bring the prototype. In the meantime, explain briefly what a Magijammer is.

"Yeah, interfering with magic activation? That's very interesting."

"Jin, you even developed something like that."

"Father, I brought you"

I talked like that and Reiko came back.

"This is a Magnetic Converter (ether converter) specification, so I modified it here. Then..."

Partial modifications made Demonic Crystals (Magic Crystals) a source of energy. At the same time, it stops intermittent drives to reduce magic consumption and makes them continuous drives.

"Okay, 'Startup'"

Jen operated a modified magic jammer.

"If you were on this side, you wouldn't be able to use magic anymore."

"Really? Maybe I'll give it a try...." Ball of Light (Lightball) "... Oh, no. I can't really use magic."

"Yeah, that's funny. I'd like to hear more about it later."

Saki is particularly interested in magic formation and action. I can see that from the fact that the alchemy paper was also "On the Work and Magic of Engineering Magic".

The magic jammer (Magijammer), modified to increase gossip and magic consumption, stopped working in about ten minutes.

"Okay, what's going on?

Jen confirmed the part of the Magic Jammer that was supposed to incorporate the Magic Crystal.

"This is..."

There was nothing in the place where the Magic Crystal was supposed to be.
