Magi Craft Meister
39-11 Reform of refining
On February 15th, Jen, Elsa, and Reinhardt were in an advanced workshop in the Imperial Palace Castle of Shouro.
To report to the Empress on the completion of the "Magic Instrument of Refining". Accompanied only by Reiko and Edgar, the squire knights.
Reiko is carrying the prototype and Edgar is carrying the ore for the test.
Their advanced workshop is the most important research workshop in Miyagi and is usually closed.
It is used during these eventful times.
"Welcome, Jin, Elsa, Reinhardt"
"Lord Jin, I've only heard this for a moment, is this the magic guide of refinement?
In the presence of Jung Fouls von Kebsler, Chancellor of the Imperial Shouro,
"If this is mass-produced, it's gonna be amazing."
It is Degauz Furt von Manishulus, Minister of Magic and Technology of the Empire of Shouro.
"This is a prototype, so it's small, but if you make something big, the production will go up"
The prototype is about the size of a ride on the workbench and is a 60 cm square cube.
The upper surface was mostly the 'inlet' where the ore was put, and the mouth where the refined metal emerged below the side facing the front, on the other side of it, had a mouth that discharged non-metallic components.
"Uhm, will you let me try it?
"Of course it is. Edgar, please."
"Yes, Master Jin"
Take out the ore you prepared with that intention.
"It doesn't have to be finely crushed, it's the size that goes into this inlet and it's fine"
This time I prepared a fist large ore.
"This is ore containing light silver. Okay, I'll let you in."
Place the ore in the inlet.
"It's too little for one..."
A total of ten pieces were put in by Jen,
"Starts"
Press the push button. "Keywords" is not a consideration so that you don't have to be a magician to handle them.
Then the magic guide moves out......
A minute later, light silver about half the size of my fist came out refined.
"Oh!"
Ten pieces of 'gravel' are discharged from the other side of it.
"Only light silver was extracted from the ore and refined."
"Shh, wow!
The ore used is very similar to what we call 'Irmenite' on Earth. The main ingredient is FeTiO3. minerals consisting of oxides of iron and light silver.
The light silver content is around 10 percent by weight. It is also a common light silver ore in this world.
Earthly irmenites are collected in sandy form, but in this world they are available as blurry rock masses.
the refined light silver. Magic and technical minister Degauz had observed a shiatsu,
"Wonderful purity."
And I sighed small.
After these surprises have calmed down a little.
"So, Jin, what do you want to do with this?
The Empress asked Jen.
"Yes, depending on advice from Reinhardt, I was told that putting it on the market would crash the price of the material and disrupt the economy…"
"Hmm, you're right."
The Chancellor nodded as impressed.
"So we've come to the conclusion that we should leave it to the state"
"I see."
The Empress nodded.
"So, can you make this for other metals?
"It's possible. For myself, I wonder if I could make it for misrilled silver and adamantite."
"Hmm, that's a magic guide material. Might be nice."
"In the beginning, it would be nice to make it exclusive in the country."
"Right. And so he said," I'm going to cut the price down a little bit. "
"Oh, the public development sector needs to turn around cheap materials as a priority."
"It doesn't seem to have much effect on the unit price of mining"
Heavy towns that will just enter into discussions.
When I thought I'd started, I'd stop talking perfectly.
"Let's do this in the conference room."
"Right."
"No objection"
And they turn to Jens.
"Lord Jin, great development, thank you"
"I want us to take care of the operation."
"Anyway, I think it would be beneficial for each country."
They are the Chancellor, the Magic and Engineering Minister and the Empress respectively.
As Jen, I didn't want this technology to be monopolized by one country alone, so I was relieved by the words of the Empress.
I'll take care of it.
"Yeah, I'll keep you posted on the reward."
Courtesy of Jen, Elsa, Reinhardt, Reiko and Edgar followed the advanced workshop.
"Jin, that's going to work."
Reinhardt said to Jen on the way back from Miyagi (Cucumber) on "Conlon 3".
"Oh, I knew Reinhardt was right, it was nice talking to Her Majesty the Emperor"
"Yeah.... I didn't even care about the miners. I knew His Majesty was amazing!
"Sure."
The price of ore varies slightly due to scarcity and ease of mining, but vice versa, that's all.
Gold, silver, etc. are expensive because of their scarce value, but iron, copper, etc. are cheap.
In addition, the unit price of "light silver mine" (= Irmenite), an ore of light silver, is lower than iron. This makes mining easier because light silver mines are brittle and prone to collapse.
Light silver becomes expensive at the refining stage.
"So if the unit price of light silver drops and demand increases, so will the demand for light silver mines, and consequently the mines and miners will be lubricated"
Reinhardt explained with some pleasure.
"I see... even if I take one thing down, it affects a lot of people around me."
That's what I'm talking about.
While we were talking about that, 'Conlon 3' arrived in Reinhardt's territory, the village of Kaltz.
"Bye, Jin, Elsa, see you later."
"Yeah, I'll see you later"
"Brother Rai, be well"
'Conlon 3' with Jens on board rose to the sky again.
"Now, do you want to go back to Penglai? You must be tracking down what the old Leonard kingdom's investigation team is doing."
"Mmm, interesting"
Elsa also agreed, so "Conlon 3" increased its speed and headed to Penglai.
