47-45 Practice Driving

December 23.

It is the day before the "Remotely Driven Vehicle Race" competition and the day of the practice drive.

Eventually, there were thirteen participants. Because Jen, Rhodotos and Malika were added to the ten people who participated in the last golem boat competition.

Zeke assumed the same as last time. The Jens handling spot participation will be 11 for Jen, 12 for Roadtoss, and 13 for Malika.

Because of this, there are no jinxes in the Ars world about numbers like 4 or 9 or 13.

"Well, I wonder what kind of car they all built"

"Looking forward to it, Father"

Reiko walks next to Jen, gently hovering over her head a 'cockpit' the size of a small storage unit.

And when it came to Jen, the car he could... he had the 'Beatle'. The colour is black.

It's being transported to the competition venue.

It looks just like the one in the game center in the form of a cockpit. Although it would be difficult to use it in any other way.

"That shape, which continues to improve for gaming, is ultimate and supreme."

And so on and Jen was leaking a little, no, rather high tension.

Until late last night...... no, it's the harm of repeated adjustments until dawn.

Reiko couldn't stop Jen from looking happy, which she hadn't seen in a long time.

The main battle is tomorrow, so Jen would be forced to sleep tonight.

Jen, who set up a 'cockpit' in a dedicated booth, just decided to run the test.

"Ah, Master Jin."

There comes Lord Toth and Malika, too. Zeke 11, 12 and 13 are all here.

The cockpit is side-by-side in order of number, from Zeke 1 to 13.

Their cockpit is no different from Jen's. The way automobiles are operated in the first place is the same as in modern Japan, so there is no way that they can change dramatically.

Yes, unless you have an idea like Rubina......

"... So, what's that?

In addition to the monitor screen that shows footage from the car, Rubina's "cockpit" had another screen.

"Oh, this?" Overlook Monitor. "

"Overlook monitor?

From that name, Jen imagined it would be a monitor for overlooking the 'car'. And.

"You mean that! That's great, Rubina."

"Huh? You got it?

"Oh."

In other words, apart from the operator's (driver's) point of view, we have an audience point of view, or a point of view that looks down from the top of the course.

Modern Japan also has features similar to those of a very small number of vehicles, making them extremely convenient when in the garage.

"But where did you get this footage from?

Jen thought it would be impossible unless the equivalent of a Peeping Telescope (Peeper) was used.

"You know, fly a wind floater over the sky."

"I see."

Indeed, there is no provision prohibiting such conduct. If there were to be a next time, we would either ban it or send the same footage to everyone, but this time we would try to win Rubina's idea, Jen thought.

"Yeah, you're doing great"

What Jen made was what the model world calls a 'racing buggy'.

This is the first bonus I've ever received, and a Christmas gift I bought for my institutionalized kids.

The sight of one racing buggy being used as a substitute for many to take turns, playing friendly.

I didn't know if there was actually such a real car, Jen, but if it was the size of the model, I could reproduce it without any problems at all.

Tires for darts with larger diameters, 4-wheel independent suspension with larger strokes. The shape of the body is a little F1 tick. The rear has wings.

This wing was moveable, and at the time of braking, the grip of the rear wheel was increased by increasing the angle, as well as working as an air brake.

I just didn't make it an aerostabilizer structure. Because aerodynamic effects are small at this size.

"Dear Jin, that's just great..."

Malika made an orthodox shape from Jen's point of view. It's what modern Japan calls a 'classic car' design.

A body reminiscent of a boarded camouflage and four wheels protruding from it. The front wheel has mudslides.

Most importantly, the tire width is thick, it is a four-wheel independent suspension, and the body material is light silver.

"This is quite fun"

The load toss was also equally orthodox in shape.

Around here, Jen seems to be referring to the first Horseless Carriage (Horseless College).

The other participants Jen saw had similar designs.

But Rubina's was different.

"Yeah."

Leaks Jen's impressed voice again.

Because Rubina's car was like a racing cart. However, the body completely covers the front and rear wheels, and you can see that it took care of the aerodynamics.

The tire diameter is slightly smaller than other cars, but this course doesn't seem to have any problems.

Tires and wheels should be lighter because of greater inertia and gyro effects during high speed rotation. I guess I went for that and turned it into a small diameter tire.

However, small diameter tires have the disadvantage of being less runnable on bad roads and of easily reducing tires when traveling long distances.

"... Wow, this is hard!

Rubina apparently maneuvers for the first time and was pretty confused.

Rhodotos, on the other hand, also helps him to be physically capable, making him run quite well.

And Jen said,

"Hmm, it's hard to do it yourself"

You seem to be struggling quite a bit.

By noon that day, all the participants had been aligned and had carried out a practice drive.

Originally made for real cars, the course is large enough for thirteen cars to practice driving and less worried about bumping into each other.

Everyone seemed to drive thoughtfully and try to get used to maneuvering.

"Oh, you're doing it"

When Jen was resting, Trihardt came.

"This is it, it's small, but it sounds interesting."

"I guess so. I can see the whole course."

Since it is visible to the naked eye and is shown on the magic projection window (magic screen), it was thought that it would be easy for the audience to grasp the overall view of the competition.

"It's easy to prepare for the course."

Jen nodded.

"I can say it's less dangerous, because the purpose is to compete with technology."

Trihardt nods too.

"That's true. We also need these competitions."

And Trihardt glanced at the course.

About six cars now carry out practice driving.

"Oh, Zeke 2 was a shu. Isn't that pretty fast?"

"Right. But it's a practice drive today, so I think we're all still hiding our strength."

"No, I look forward to tomorrow"

So Trihardt laughed.
