61-19 Test Flight

A one-quarter model of a "double-leaf wind floater (blow floater)", its test is ready.

"All right, activate! Start the exam!"

Lower Eisker's voice sounded, and the model's "Blowing Engine" was launched.

A slightly higher intake sound sounds and the model slowly floats.

The altitude reached about ten meters while I was looking at it.

"Okay, first stage, surfacing is a success!

Lower Eisker's voice sounds happy too.

"'Pirota', slow forward. U-turn in front of the other end of the square and come back. Just take your time."

Following this instruction, the model proceeded slowly.

That speed is roughly four kilometers an hour, fast enough for people to walk.

The square behind the Academy is about 100 meters square, and in about a minute and a half you will reach the other side.

So I made a 180 degree change of direction rather than a U-turn, and the model slowly came back.

"Yeah, well, that sounds like a good pilot."

Rasnart Heilbron was alone watching how it went.

"The wind floater (blowfloater) is stable..."

He was also a disciple of Rhodotos, and Gloma Tray, who had seen his "Wind Floater (Blow Floater)" several times, groaned as impressed.

"Hmm, sounds like an interesting ride to fly in the sky too"

Eira seemed interested in the aircraft.

"Is this the model?"

"I'd like to see the actual machine."

"Wouldn't there be fewer artificial mistakes if Golem let the actual pilot do the same?

Etc., the face of "Go R&D" seemed to think a lot.

"All right, speed up. Take a left swirl around the open space."

As the stability of the fuselage was confirmed to be good, Lower Eisker instructed an increase in speed.

The model slowed down. Approximately 20 km/h. It's fast enough to bike.

"Oh, that looks good."

The model, which performs a large left swivel as it is, could have been done from Jen's eyes.

(Yeah, duplexers and small golems, well done enough. This would be promising in the future...)

And after a few times around.

"Increase your speed carefully and take it to the maximum speed. But don't push it."

and Lower Eisker gave instructions.

Correspondingly, the speed of the model increased further.

"Oh, that's pretty fast.... Reiko, how long?

"That's right... it's 38 km/h"

"Right.... Well, the speed wouldn't simply quadruple, but the actual machine would seem to be strong at 50 km/h"

The double-leaf machine has a large air resistance, so the higher the speed, the more disadvantaged it will be.

"If you're going to take safety, the upper limit is about 60 kilometers an hour."

This value of 60 km, comes from the highest speed on the general road when Jen was in modern Japan.

Although the reality is that there are few 60 km of roads and many are 50 km or 40 km.

"I'm quick, Lord Jin..."

Lower Eisker, who overheard a conversation with Reiko, says

"No, that's not true. Because it's important to look at the model and predict the finish of the finished product."

And Jen told me, and convinced me that it would be.

"When you get bigger, you'll have a longer cycle of shaking, so you need to consider that too"

"That's true."

It's a different story, but if a beginner practices flying a wirelessly piloted plane, they say it's easier to get used to it if it's of some size.

It takes me a while to get used to practicing with something small because it costs more... Apparently.

Jen himself could not own such a model plane for economic reasons, but he had seen it several times where someone he knew would fly, and was asked to save (cum) at that time.

"But spicy cousins simply can't quadruple speed."

Air resistance. Fluid dynamics constants.... Apparently, Jen is also a high school graduate, so I regretted not knowing so much about it.

A total of about an hour of test flight was successfully completed while checking the various parts once landed.

"That's a bad success."

Lower Eisker is in a good mood.

"It's a huge success!

Zola Himmel was even more upbeat, truly top-heavy.

"Yeah, yeah, that's what it was worth working with!

And Rasnart Heilbron also seemed happy.

"If we fly in the sky with our own built fuselage, that sounds like fun."

Eira squeaks pompously.

When I keep researching golems in "Go Research," Jen thought I'd want to try another genre like that.

Anyway, Jen herself, it's a mouth for every genre.

"If you're just going to fly, there's my Wind Floater."

When I say,

"Oh, good. I want to get in!

in reply to.

Then even from the face of 'aeronautical research',

"Oh, well, I would also like to see Lord Jin's fuselage!

The word came out.

Is this just the right opportunity to unveil a new aircraft? Jen thought, checking the time,

"It's only 10: 30. Then just a little."

said, interested persons spoke to the airfield where the 'hurricane' was parked.

There's a little distance to the airfield, but we all hurried to a small run, so we arrived in about ten minutes.

"... then let's serve 'Southern Cross'.... Hope!

"Yes, sir"

At Jen's behest, Hope immediately boarded the "Southern Cross" and activated the "Blowing Engine".

Then, when the support frame was released remotely, it slowly floated and landed on the airfield once.

"Oh!"

"Hey, that's amazing."

"That's Lord Jin."

"Uh, this is' Southern Cross'. This arrangement of circular wings increases stability and mobility."

Jen explained "Southern Cross" to the assembled technicians.
